Marvel Avengers Alliance Redux-Approaching spec ops in Beta 6 efficiently

- For those who've been attending my streams over the past few months, you've seen me tackle multiple spec ops and have seen me be successful some times and fail other times. Some failures are due to bugs but many were due to poor planning. To help others, I've made this video to let you know who you should recruit and how to recruit them before tackling the available spec ops in beta 6. You will need to complete a few PVP seasons and a lot of story content if you want to be super successful at all the spec ops.

the best thing about MAA to me was the amount of obscure marvel characters it had, it introduced me to so many characters i had no idea existed and it didn't rely heavily on the MCU of the time for costumes and scenery and characters unlike marvel games of today.
This worked both for good and for bad, because while they introduced good and interesting not so known characters, there were doing this only for the money, and it was obvious because most of these characters were overpowered like cloak and dagger...WHY THEY WERE SO GOD DAMN BROKEN?
There's a still lot more characters they could've added tbh
This is a dream come true. It's insane to see that this project has come to this point
Honestly, though! Every time I see a new update I'm impressed all over again. Most fan projects, especially abandonware revivals, seem to get shut down pretty quickly or the team just can manage to get through it all. Then, you've got these lads remaking a big name game with tons of details and intricacies perfectly, IN THEIR FREE TIME! Hats off to them, I say. 🫡
There is a heavy amount of nostalgia for this game. It's one of the reasons why the group is so happy to work on it.
There are some DMCA protections against us getting shut down. Plus, we take/make ZERO money on this.
BTW, thanx to EVERYONE putting in the work to bring us this game back!

Imo, one of the great things about Maa (aside the mechanics/gameplay) is that they include a majority of the heroes from the Marvel universe into the game without detracting much of their identity, eg. spiderman's bio kept it ambiguous whether it was organic or his own webshooters. Lockbox heroes joining shield (recruitable) despite being bosses at some point.
That and it takes place outside of Earth 616, solving most continuity issues while being able to add in the super cool designs from movies or other media AOU suits, daredevil netflix. And I love how they added different identities like breaker of wills to 'buff' under used characters while keeping the base costumes.
Truly a game ahead of its time, and remains to be the number game for me. Sure, there were balancing issues and what not, but all in all, this is the perfect package.
Playdom crafted a world so very similar to the main comic world we know yet...different. The Horsemen for example and the Worthy. They took the concept of what we knew and assigned it to different characters. Well before other games got original characters (like Luna Snow in MFF), MA got Knight America for the capiversary. We got toons most people never heard of like Cammi and very infrequently used ones like Shocker, Faiza, Thane and more. PD really did have a gold mine on their hands.

That is the one that is Immune to Bleeding and Poisoned. Really useful one for a lot of Missions.

It would be fun to unlock angel with only the number of fights, rather than the points, as happened originally in the pvp tournament

Edit: I apologize if you mentioned this, but do you need to play the Spec Ops to unlock the alt costumes for characters? For example, do you need to pay the Extremis Spec Op to unlock the Iron Patriot armor for War Machine
Any skin that is available during the time frame of season 1 will be available in beta 6. Once you hit a certain story point, you can start getting those skins like the 2nd Colossus skin, Future Foundation skins, etc.

See all this talk of properly strategizing has now got me thinking on a different track, namely trying to reverse-strategize and actively pick team compositions that *don't* mesh well with the challenge you're facing... though the issue with that idea is that there are likely some combinations of heroes that flat-out will not work in certain situations at all, so one would have to walk a fine line between making things more challenging and outright shooting oneself in the foot.
Look, I've been rereading Acts of Vengeance for the past week and now I'm really into the idea of intentionally bad hero-villain matchups again, so sue me.
I mean, yeah I think there could be plenty of awful combos in the game. To me I think using some super light damage toons like Domino and Cammi could be an awful team up.

Many skins are not available until season 2. The season 1 skins will be available in beta 6.
In my opinion, the best part of Spec Ops that we can get a LB hero is its Group Boss. I would like to see how it's gonna work on MAAR.
In 5.6, the group bosses aren't implemented but they will be in beta 6. The team has a plan for it considering you no longer have allies that can help.
@NapalmDawn my guess is that you'll have to craft a few different teams of your own from the different heroes you own to fight them

@@NapalmDawn yes, i try to look what a wheapon or iso 8 does and it doesnt show anythong unless i join battle, is there something wrong with my aplication?

The difference between the beta 5 series and beta 6 is too big. The saves just won't be compatible.
Will all gear level up with the agent, or do we need to re-grind a weapon for higher level if we wound up getting it at low levels due to a daily spin or something?
It levels. The reforging in MAA was a way to get you to spend gold which likely leads to spending real money.

Of course. Likely just about anybody who played MAA has heard of him and watched his videos. At a certain point during the OG MAA, I stopped watching because I was doing my own thing.
