Oh man…all these cool little amps you’re bringing us makes me wish my pre had rca outs! I know you’ve mentioned some with xlr option, but more expensive. Great review again and really enjoy your Ali deep dives 🙏🏼
@@riccitone you can use simple XLR to RCA connectors or cables. This will work I've way only (XLR output to RCA input) as if you'll take gnd and hot from XLR, then you basically have 0-2V single ended. It will not work the other way around, but if you want to connect RCAs to XLR output - you'll be fine! Look for adapters or ready made interconnects!
@@k4syx For real? Does that depend on the type of amp? I was told that could cause phase issues or something. My pre is true balanced if that means anything…good to know if you’ve tried it and it works no problem 🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@riccitone yes for real. XLR has gnd, hot and cold pins. Cold is hot, but mirrored and ranges from -2V to 0V. Hot is from 0 to 2V, exactly like RCA single ended. So you just take two of three lines to get XLR to RCA. Check these out (that's what I got btw and in some time there will be a video review) s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EyEu0yh
True. Ive heard that very special sound totally disappear when "better" components are subbed in, especially lush "audiophile" caps. It's how the designer voices his schematic. Sometimes, simple is better, and its intended that way.
Yes, that can be the case, on the other hand very often - especially in cheap constructions - better components do improve the sound. So - no risk, no fun! :)
I don't think mucking around with any of the caps on this 933clone will reap any further benefits.. already has Wima caps in the signal path and changing the main supply caps will not change anything esp as they are new caps.. only if they are old and failing would any real benefits occur in that department.. it's extremely well sorted already.. just the ic change to a discrete single OP03 module as I mentioned on a post above is what the big improvement is and it is a good improvement.
I have had one of these for a couple of years now and agree with your comments. I use Quad ELS63 Electrostatics and agree that direct connecting the board to the input RCA's will make a difference. But the big improvement was changing the OPA07 IC to a discrete module...the OP03 single or the OP01 single unit from Aliexpress is what this amplifier needs to become absolutely superb. I tried several iC's but this discrete module is the business. I found that standard using the 07 that its good but found myself a little disappointed on some CD's. After substituting the IC's to the OP03 discrete single its night and day...And by the way Imaging improves immensely. I read somewhere that this is a negative feedback chip and it won't make any difference changing..well thats completely wrong...its a massive improvement... Check the earth path as well because mine was not even connected at the IEC socket and the possibility of oscillation is possible when plugging in the RCA's if its powered up...
So I guess it was you that I was referring to in the video :) I've read about that on AudioAsylum (I think?) - Im gonna order them and try that, I was surprised to learn that there is just one or two offers on ali for discete 01/03
OP03? I think is OP37 [ The OP37 provides the same high performance as the OP27, but the design is optimized for circuits with gains greater than five. This design change increases slew rate to 17V/µsec and gain-bandwidth product to 63MHz. The OP37 provides the low offset and drift of the OP07 plus higher speed and lower noise. Offsets down to 25µV and drift of 0.6µV/°C maximum make the OP-37 ideal for precision instrumentation applications. Exceptionally low noise (en=3.5nV/Hz at 10Hz), a low 1/f noise corner frequency of 2.7Hz, and the high gain of 1.8 million, allow accurate high-gain amplification of low-level signals. The low input bias current of ±10nA and offset current of 7nA are achieved by using a bias-current-cancellation circuit. Over the military temperature range this typically holds IB and IOS to ±20nA and 15nA respectively. The output stage has good load driving capability. A guaranteed swing of ±10V into 600 Ohm and low output distortion make the OP37 an excellent choice for professional audio applications. ]
@@matytinman you're right obviously, I was just referring to the options on Ali. I saw discrete 01 and 03, no idea what 03 would be for. I was also thinking about using single OPA828 as it's really fast (slew rate), precise and very good when it comes to noise - according to datasheet. But I haven't compared all parameters (yet).
I tried several ic's.. nothing came close to the discrete op03 single in that 933 clone. You can try them all but I wouldn't waste too much time. Go straight to the OP03 single. Good affordable price as well. @@k4syx
😂@@matytinmanno.. it is the OP03 single discrete module.. that OP01 single and double and OP03 single and double series I have yet to hear a situation where it doesn't work superb.
Yes, Mogami makes the exact cable you’re looking for. I’ve used it to make a few cables for myself and friends. Don’t remember the name of it, but it’s quality cable. Cool vid! 👍🔊😊🎶
Mogami is great ........used also by Lundahl....... But I wouldn't buy this amp because of it's abnormal low measurements and damp damping factor unless you have those modern powerhungry and low microresolution low sensitivity speakers .OPA , ...NFB ....output transistor packaging ......industrial build , cheap wiring and connectors , all together .....a no no for me . This is an amplifier for audiophiles , not for music lovers . Instead I would buy eyes closed an Electrocompanier amplifier .. Often not told .....old WE amplifiers ( tubes ) with no NFB have distortion below 1 watt less than 0.1 %.......some even lower ....they were made for reproding music and not to please a high end marketing hype . Have a nice day Nick
Reading your posts you mention Electrocompaniet..well I have an ampliwire aw65 here and this breeze audio eats it for breakfast when it comes to producing music. As for music lovers versus audiophiles.. everytime I improve some part of my system I discover another aspect of music that I never thought about before... this breeze 933 clone is a perfect example of how to get more music for not a huge sum of money as compared to modern Electrocompaniet. It's truly an excellent sounding product. I have plenty of amplifiers to compare it to and it's up with the best musical sounding ones.@@frankgeeraerts6243
@@frankgeeraerts6243 Hey Frank. I didn’t know Lundhal used Mogami wire / cable. My SUT I built has Lundhal transformers in it. Agreed, Frank. I wouldn’t buy this amp either, and I like how you say it’s for audiophiles, not lovers of music. There’s some definite truth to that, especially with those measurements. I never really pay attention to measurements unless I’m checking voltages in a PSU or what the PSU is powering. My ears are always the deciding factor. Is it just me, or is there not enough emphasis put on power supplies? Without a well designed and even overbuilt one, you’re not gonna get everything possible out of a certain circuit. I haven’t had the pleasure of hearing an Electrocompanier amp, but I’d love to. Hell, I wanna hear as many pieces of gear and combinations possible, but there’s just SO much of it. I think one need to somewhat narrow down their favorite topology(ies) of amps, preamps, etc., figure out how they work and experiment building them. I’m certainly not stuck with one type of amp, as there’s great tube and SS designs, but it’s how they’re implemented that makes the difference. I do know, I prefer mostly tube gear and high sensitivity speakers, but that realization didn’t come over night. Yeah, some of those old WE amps were completely designed for enjoying music that sounds like, well….actual music instead of feeding the greed machine of certain high end audio. I didn’t know they had specs like that, but that’s very telling we basically had it right almost a century ago…. Thanks Frank. Again, I always enjoy talking with you, as I think our goals on music reproduction is rather similar. Plus, if I see a ridiculously priced piece of gear, I think of how I can simplify it and build it myself. When you do that, it seems you’re able to enjoy the music that touches you all the more.
Nice review. Very interesting, especially for what you said about wanting to play louder. The 956 is also very interesting cause it has similar topology with 1 sanken per half sine, no paralleling.
@@marcinwasilewski5414 yes, I'm really curious about more expensive options now. They are more expensive, but if they bring even more of this fun to the table, then I'm in!

Thanks for your reviews. I bought the fm300a and the sound is very good. For now I'm using the Fiio K7 as a preamplifier and everything plays well. However, I wanted to try a preamplifier, perhaps with tubes. I'm waiting....

As usual another great review of the clones.❤ I just watched a review by Nemo Propaganda on IOTAVX SA40 under 1k euro (this is not a clone) with 150W into 8ohms and doubles down into 4Ohms. The amp is an integrated amp including DACs. It also has phono in MM/MC, pre-out, Amp in, sub out and RCA & XLR inputs. The 'amp in' will be very useful as a home theatre bypass or DSP loop. He is raving about this amp. He also reviewed another amp in the similar price category, with similar rave, that has tons of features, the Outlaw Audio RR2160MK2. If only you could put the IOTAVX SA40, Outlaw Audio.. against all the clones that you have..that will be really great. Will the clones..Dartzeel, FM711 MK2 stereo amp, MF A1, Burmester 933 etc. beat the IOTA & Outlaw audio? Is it worthwhile to go for the clones anymore?
Id love to check that out! However, I would still bet on my separates combination (Singxer Su-6 + Gustard X26Pro + something like DartZeel or 933) :) I know it wouldnt be a fair faight (3 vs 1) but thats what separates are for in the first place ;) But seriously, Id love to hear them and compare them. Maybe someday!
I finally connected my XLR 933 to my main system and listened to it for a couple hours. Note, I haven't done any burn it and I am using the same source, an Eversolo DMP-A8. First impression, the 933 sounds fine with no obvious audio anomalies. Sound is detailed with no harshness in the high frequencies, clear midrange and has good bass punch. But... compared to my Hypex Nilai amp that measures close to perfection (check the ASR review), the 933 lacks the inky blackness in the space behind the music as well as lacking the absolute detail the Nilai extracts from recordings. That said, the 933 plays +6db louder for the same volume setting on my DMP-A8 (but I can alter the Nilai's input sensitivity). Bass was also fuller with the 933 but at the expense of control however it never sounds bloated. I will continue to use the 933 as my main stereo amp to give it time to burn in and also allow me to hear the differences when I switch back to the Nilai. Note: I purchased a Douk Audio/One Little Bear 3-In-3-Out XLR switch box some months ago that I was going to use it to switch between amps and sources for quick A/B testing. While playing around with it one day, I discovered that it had some channel bleed over where I could faintly hear audio from the disconnected source playing through the connected amp. So no quick A/B testing for me.
Give it some time to play, it will nicely change. As for the details yes, Hypex are monsters. What about imaging? How would you compare them in this area?
@@k4syx They both image well with vocals dead centre and instruments placed around the soundstage but I feel that a lot of that is due to my speakers - Arendal 1723 Tower THX. The differences were in the finer details of the presentation. For example, the track 'Earthly Elegance' by Kalya Scintilla begins with what sounds like a xylophone and various electronic sounds shifting around in the space between and beyond the speakers. These sounds seem to float in an inky black space with the Hypex but not with the 933. In particular, there are these squelchy electronic sounds that with the Hypex sound like they are coming from directly beside me, something that doesn't occur with the 933. I am not saying the 933 is a bad amp, it probably sounds as good as many more expensive amps on the market. Perhaps upgrading some of the internal components would take it next level but that could end up being expensive and pointless if the original caps are genuine Nichicon. The 933 wins with repairability, it would be straightforward for an amateur to repair should some components fail. The same cannot be said about the Hypex as it would need a qualified tech to fix it or I would have to buy a replacement module for the ones that fail ($620 for amp modules and $420 for PSU modules).
@@k4syx The Hypex Nilai stereo amp kit is EU1225 and the additional PSU is EU250 from diyclassd. Building the kit is straight forward as it all screws together, no soldering required. If you can assemble Ikea furniture, you can build this amp. Adding the second PSU was more difficult requiring 14 precisely drilled mounting holes and soldering some wires together. Alpha Audio shows a step by step assembly of the amp kit and a comparison test between the Nilai, a Purify and an Ice amp.
Great review! The way you describe the sound signature of this amp has made me really interested in this one! Especially to power some HE6se V2’s I recently picked up (to crank its dynamics and punch to 11). It’s a shame the shipping is so dang expensive though (shipping costs more than the amp!!) Maybe I can find a shop that offers it with more reasonable shipping. 🤞

After your enthousiastic review of the Burmester 933 clone I got curious about its biggest brother the 909 power amp. I found two versions, one with a 1200 watt transformer and the other with a 1500 watt transformer. They are big bruisers weighing between 28 kg and 30 kg and they come in the same type of enclosure as the Dartzeel NHB108. Power output is 185/370 watt and 225/450 watt p/ch at 8 and 4ohm. They’re not inexpensive but you can opt to pay in 3 monthly installments. I chose this payment method myself for my latest purchase and it works like a charm. I may be tempted to order one of these myself as a more powerful alternative to my FM300A. I really shouldn’t ’t watch your channel anymore because it will only costs me more money doing so 😄.
@@kevinusta7534 not yet. Haven't reviewed all the flock I got yet. So no duds yet (keeping my fingers crossed)
Well last night I decided to get the XLR input version of this amp and placed my order with the same store you use. From the Ali photos, it appears to use four single channel OP07 op-amps that can be replaced. I will need to figure out if there are any suitable discrete op-amps. It will be interesting to hear how it sounds as it will have tough competition with my current amp, a Hypex Nilai that is the current state-of-the-art in class-D amps.
@@mddawson1 Please share your thoughts when you'll get it. Can you link to the specific build? I am always a fan of XLR and going balanced. So thats definetely coming to my channel, and same goes for the cables - speaker, XLRs, power cords, for which I already have that table but I need to test a few that I bought after a first round to have that complete.
Enjoyed your review!! I am lost as to what I should look for to drive my electrostatic speakers. The manufacturer (Martin Logan) says 200-400w power in 4 ohms, these are 130w. Mfg says 4ohm watts should be 2x the 8ohm watts and this is 1.3x. Mfg says 2 ohm power should also show an increase and this has no 2 ohm rating. I believe your review, just don’t understand why it works and $215 shipping gives me pause. Thank you!
@@EvenHarmonics there's some weird thing with shipping, I can see it as around 50usd (as I paid) but you're third person saying it's very expensive. I'll ask them about that, maybe that's some weird Ali stuff. As for power output for electrostats what counts is current delivery for heavy (low impedance) loads. If the amp is powerful, then there is a chance that it will handle that kind of load well. On the other hand there are designs that are not that powerful, but have great current delivery abilities. This is probably one of this cases. And the whole thing is reason for my quest of searching something that will drive my Logans better than twin 851W (and cheaper, maybe :) )
Hey man. Excellent review. Just wanted to ask something different. How does the Aiyima a70 with op amp swap compare with this one? I know these two use completely different technologies but still wanted to know since their price point and power output are quite similar. Really wanted to know your opinion on this. Thanks
This one is about pure sound quality. Just one sets of inputs, volume that would be better to bypass, and it's like 2 or 2.5 times more expensive. Aiyima has better functionality. But taking only SQ into account, it's better. But I don't think it's fair comparison because of the price difference, and the fact that Aiyima actually does r&d.
@@k4syx I see. the reason i said the price is comparable to the a70 is because this clone is on sale now for 232usd. and i know and use a shipping forwarding company in my country that charges only 5usd per kg with no additional tax or customs duty. so the shipping would only cost me around 60/70usd. Under 300$ all inclusive for this amp, seems like a deal of the decade to me haha. will be placing the order tomorrow. thanks a lot for all the help man. this channel is like a gold mine. wish i had found this earlier, could have saved a ton of money.

I'm looking for good amplifiers for my home cinema. I currently have a NAD M25 7-channel amplifier but would like to expand it to include 3 separate stereo amplifiers. What would you recommend if you want good resolution and powerful bass? Space is not important. Burmester 933 or DartZeel NHB-108? Or is there a better alternative? Many thanks for the good tips
Now that's a tough choice. DartZeel is two times more expensive than 933, so getting 3x933 would be significantly cheaper. And DartZeels would be overkill for home cinema. Let's be honest, there's no BDs or streaming services, nor multichannel media (except for some SACD) that would show full DartZeels capabilities. So go for 3x933. And then get 1 DartZeel on top of that purely for stereo music listening :)
Not yet, I need to finishing reviews on all I ordered (including some tube ones!). For now - you cant go wrong with either JC2 clone or Accu C245 clone I've reviewed. Though C245 would be probably better pairing, I still need to hear them together. C245 is excellent, but its elegant and laid back in presentation. And I would very much like to retain this wild and fun 933 signature!
First of all thank you very much for your channel! It's real the RUclips Gem for music lovers, keep going! I got A1 Clone right after your review and it is really amazing amp! How does this Burmester 933 MK2 clone sounds on moderate low level volume? Does it have enough meat/juice and richness? Or does it sound good only at pretty loud levels? (It's very important for listening music or movies at nights) It really worth mentioning quality of low level volume sounding for all reviewed or future review amps. Does it have any white noise/hiss when music is not playing? (A1 clone has not any, and that's great) And how does it sound compares to Sabaj A30a? I got Sabaj A30a previously because of Audiosciencereview forum recommendations, and it is total disappointment for me, because it sounds clinically dead or analitycal or rafinated and uninvolving for my taste (built in presets and bass treble control couldn't help). Don't know how proper describe it, something is wrong with its sound itself (I mean Sabaj A30a), it's like it has no enought juiceness/meat/richness in sound. A1 clone is much more musical to my taste! Also could you please recommend the good musical USB DAC with rich, juicy, warmish sound to pair good with A1 clone or this Burmester 933 MK2? (To play music from PC) I try save for Denafrips PONTUS 15th but its very expensive, maybe you know something really good in lower price range?
Hi, thanks! answering in same order: 1. 933 sounds very good at medium and low levels. I dont usually listen loudly and its important for me that no details will be lost with lower volume setting. Will include that info in future reviews 2. No hiss whatsoever, dead silent even with volume maxed. 3. Your description of A30A is very accurate, its very important to pair it with warmish speakers. I still have mine downstairs, its very precise, detailed and I like it, but I totally get what you're saying - its bad conditions it may be like listening to voltage meter. 933 beats it hands down, same as MFA1 (both with external DAC). 4. As for cheap and excellent DAC (real gem and surprise!) check out this one: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DCDO1cX and take a look at my review. Where do you live to pay only 50 USD for shipping? It comes 250+ 135 ship tu EU + import tax cca 100 = cca 485 Eur in total. I know, I bought a JLH1969 for 135 Eur and it comes in total 300 Eur- But still worth it a lot! The best buy in my hi-fi history by so far! This little amp just sweaps with much, much, much more expensive and heavier amps, particulary in some aspects (not all of them) of presenting the music. Ok, it is also not perfect to drive a heavy load speakers. For 485 Eur you can get... no serious amplification in regular hifi shops :)) perhaps for x5 or x10 the price.
My Ali links this as shipping for 200PLN to Poland (EU) and this is rougly 50USD. Customs are calculated from total invoice price, but then again there is VAT discount (right before the shopping cart payment) as this is in total more than 150EUR. So the VAT (thats included in Ali listed price!) gets discounted and basically covers all shipping and customs fees. And then on top of that I ALWAYS hunt for sale and coupouns as I do buy them with my own money, so every dollar counts!
@@k4syx Sorry, but I do not understad this. Can you write down this on Polish? I will then put this in google translate. Can you you show us a practical calculation with numbers please? For a product costs 250 Eur, there is no way VAT is 150 Eur On Ali invoices is no VAT. Just amounts on their web- cost for amp and cost for shipping. And on that comes import tax or custom fee.
@@majtextwriter1794 ok again. The Ali list price always includes VAT tax. And there is additional shipping fee (unless there's info on free shipping). So the starting price is list price + shipping price. When you actually do pay in AliExpress app, right before the payment, if you are EU based and total value is more than 150EUR, the VAT will be reduced from your price because the rules say that for orders higher than 150eur vat should be collected in your country. So the final price you pay to Ali will be: list price+shipping-(vat*list price). Then the parcel gets through local customs. These guys will add customs fees, these are calculated on the invoice and this is random but lower than vat deduced from the Ali list price. So in effect, in my case, shipping and customs gets covered by the vat amount that Ali deduced from the original price. Meaning that finally, the amount I pay (for everything !) is either the same as starting list price (that includes vat that gets removed) or slightly lower. This can probably vary from county to country, as shipping rates do too. For example one of my viewers from Croatia said that the customs there never look at invoices and they just judge the base value for vat and customs on the prices they see on the internet. So if you order fake AQ Vodka cable for 40USD, they will charge taxes and customs for the price of original and that's just some horrible amounts of money!
Yes! I actually did review a couple of them already (browse through my vids) and I have purchased a few new clones this time with some tube preamps too!

Not even run in yet!!!! 2nd amp I repaired with genuine SANKEN power transistors but ai dont know for how long as the other components on the power pcb may not be of high quality???
Aaaaahhh if you are using this to drive planars, thats completely different story. You may experience bad things as this was never meant to deal with that kind of load. I'm usung some of these amps that I review to drive my HE6seV2 (via speaker tap to balanced XLR cable) and you always have to be very careful, as no amp like this was designed to drive 50Ohm loads with sensitivity as low as 83dB. @@sonusancti yes the replace was higher value, the idea was to get more treble to the tweeter but I don't remember exact values - I think you can see them in the vid as I got both caps in front of the camera :) I got that particular value from guy that had his Evos modded in some speaker workshop in Italy - I haven't checked out calculated this value on my own

Its fabulous as a power amp. I will be bypassing volume on it anyway, to use it as pure power stage. If you need more analog inputs then yes, some preamp is needed. For digital inputs DAC with volume control may be simple answer.
@@k4syx maybe the new wiim pro. It even has a subwoofer out. That's a good system for short money. That amp is nice thick aluminum and 100 watts is all I need especially with a high damping factor.
@@k4syx how does one adjust the volume on the 933 if there's also volume control on a connected preamp or dac? Do they need to be roughly balanced or one more than the other?
@@gerardjoye5033 My way of doing this is to get as close to max on source, but leaving room for changing the volume vie remote. Like this: if my DAC allows me to set volume anywhere between 0 and 100, I would set volume on DAC to ~90, then set pot on amp to my normal listening level. This way I dont have to adjust the amp later and fine tuning the volume (a little bit up and down) can be done in source. As a rule you want to have your source set to as close to maximum to have best DNR and SNR. If my amp or pre has a remote then source always goes to fixed at max and I'm changing volume in amp or pre.
@@robertm8518 another difficult question:) I'm still in the process of reviewing everything I ordered (including some preamps, solid state and tube based) separately and then there will be time for pairing them for the best setups. Hello Hifizone! 🙂 Really enjoy your vids and the fact that you u give the clones a real, fair shot here 👍 Nobody has asked yet how this 933 compare to the (reference) K5? I know it's double the price. But is it a whole new ballgame, or is it just nuances? @@jonnybech4758 Hi there! What K5 you have on your mind? (Link or offer name if link gets censored). My experience with the clones so far is that as with other things in audio law of diminishing returns works here too. So for example DartZeel D5PRO clone is better than 933, no question about it, but it's twice as expensive. Is 933 twice worse? It's not, but DartZeel IS clearly superior.
Thats power amp - these are usually used with preamps that have plenty of inputs. BrzHifi added simple volume control for folks connecting just one source like DAC - that would give you a full set of digital inputs.
Loving the Chi Fi and seeing how much the industry is 80 % Profits on low cost parts made in china anyway oh like Ps Audio that paul is a con man i know first hand . 😮😊
Yes most of the price is brand name, and fancy chassis (sometimes). To be fair I am all for proper charging for excellent design and R&D. But I think that most of R&D is happening now in DIY community and China, I think - may be wrong - that most of the established brands are quite happy with small incremental increases to last year builds and earning on repeatable sales, almost like in subscription model ;) Paul - I wont comment on that, I dont know anything more than that he is sharing his knowledge here on RUclips (and for that stuff I saw, he says good and true things)

@@777gordini can you give a link where one can get the op03. Thanks
OP03?
I think is OP37
[ The OP37 provides the same high performance as the OP27, but the design is optimized for circuits with gains greater than five.
@@k4syx

@@mddawson1 wow what was the price for these? Cause I think we're not in the same league here? :)
@@k4syx The Hypex Nilai stereo amp kit is EU1225 and the additional PSU is EU250 from diyclassd. Building the kit is straight forward as it all screws together, no soldering required. Hi! My plan is to finish with the single reviews and then do something exactly like you ask - but with some scores for bass, mids, treble etc, so you guys will be able to pick whats best for you. So thats definetely coming to my channel, and same goes for the cables - speaker, XLRs, power cords, for which I already have that table but I need to test a few that I bought after a first round to have that complete.

I'm looking at this at the moment..

(A1 clone has not any, and that's great)
And how does it sound compares to Sabaj A30a?
(To play music from PC)
I try save for Denafrips PONTUS 15th but its very expensive, maybe you know something really good in lower price range?
Hi, thanks! answering in same order:
1. 933 sounds very good at medium and low levels. I dont usually listen loudly and its important for me that no details will be lost with lower volume setting. Will include that info in future reviews
Get a 12V LPS for it and enjoy excellent AK4499EX sound (beware, opamp rolling may be addictive).
Same here. My end price would be $490, not $300
@@ABC-rh7zc yes, I wrote cca 485 for this amp. But still a bargain, I think, we can trust to some reviewers,
My Ali links this as shipping for 200PLN to Poland (EU) and this is rougly 50USD.
For a product costs 250 Eur, there is no way VAT is 150 Eur
On Ali invoices is no VAT.
Just wondering if you have planned reviewing of some of the inexpensive preamps in this category?
Yes! I actually did review a couple of them already (browse through my vids) and I have purchased a few new clones this time with some tube preamps too!

1st amp blew power transistors on 1 channel after 48 hrs fr delivery!
That would also explain the heat...

Its burning in now, its waiting in line - probably after Gryphon and a Cary LS90 tube preamp. A month? Maybe sooner?
I'm seriously thinking about ordering this after seeing what quality for the money, I see it has a volume but it must need a pre amp.
