No, unfortunately I don't have the immersion heater. Which is making me think I need to get it because I've tried their hyper heater and a hot shower in the wilderness is amazing. But the hyper heater plus the Pro or Cube is a lot of stuff and doesn't fit for most trips. The immersion heater would be great because of the compact size.
Wow! Thank you for sharing a wonderful video! When we were there in June, trails were closed with snow. So, it is wonderful to go through trail and see the view! Thank you!
I didn't realize that Tina giving Jerry the finger (twice) while hiking was the content I needed tonight, but here we are! Ha ha! Seriously, this is a beautiful hike and a place that I never knew about. So gorgeous. I hope we get a video about the campsite and further adventure?! Once again, Thank you both!
Unfortunately, Tina got sick on this hike and we ended up going home. So we're gonna have to reschedule the bigger trip we had planned after. But better to get sick on a short trail than in the middle of nowhere on a backpacking trip.
I visited Cedar Breaks maybe 30 years ago & your video brought back some great memories....Kudos! I also remember a short walk to an Alpine Pond which I found uniquely beautiful. Thanks for the flashbacks!
I hope Tina is doing well. Ever since the health scare she has been appearing in less and less videos and we are rooting for her recovery. She is a strong cookie and I hope many future travels await. Hiking is in her blood.
She seems to have a good handle on the health issue. She's actually had some work changes that have made it more difficult for her to get out as much. But we're figuring it out. Appreciate the concern.
Wow!....so majestic...the complete opposite of my swampy environment...but both areas are beautiful in their own ways...great cinematography and soundtrack!
I really hope you saw the start of the Narrows while there?!?! It's a super short hike and it's where the water in Navajo Lake goes underground and comes out of a hole into a cascade. That's where the Zion Narrows officially begins.
Stunning vistas and nice to see that the crowds didn't change since 2017. We also went to the alpine pond but didn't go to ramparts overlook. Thanks for showing it
Cedar Breaks was on our list when we were in Bryce and Zion last November. However, I’d read something about it being closed for parking lot maintenance and didn’t look into trying to get there. After seeing this video, I definitely want to go sometime. Looks like a decent amount of eye candy for a fairly easy hike. Thank you both for another enjoyable video adventure. We always appreciate the views and the humor, especially the outtakes. BTW, if we’re ever hiking somewhere and happen upon a life size cutout of Tina “gesturing”, may I tell her to keep walking?
The image alone on hats and T-shirts would would be something. You might also have ones printed with the caption, “I wonder what Tina thinks of switchbacks?”
Hopefully Paula's Mexican in St George is still making their refried beans the same way. Re-seasoned with spices and honey and fried crispy. Kodachrome basin is also a favorite of mine...
Just wanted to say thanks for these great videos. The wife and I are heading out for the Southwest in a few weeks, for the balloon fest and eclipse. Our plans are to start at Big Bend and work our way thru New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. Your videos have provided us with countless ideas on what to see and do.
I went in 2022, late spring. Traveling with 2 cats is an adventure in itself finding great temps. Cedar Breaks had beautiful weather, loved being at such a high elevation and driving from there to Cedar Rapids was simply gorgeous. Did you guys go to Duck Creek Village or Navajo lake? Some of my fave Utah spots!
In your first or one of your vlogs there were shots of Bryce, but you don't have vlogs from there. I've always wondered why? Don't they have back country hiking and camping there? Bryce is my favorite is why i asked... I will definitely add this to my Utah list. Thx Jerry.
We've gone to Bryce a few times. The footage was.....less than stellar since I was just starting out. We were actually on our way there in this trip, but Tina ended up getting sick and we weren't able to make it. Hopefully be back there soon though.
@@JerryArizona oh no.. Hope Tina is feeling better. I'm heading up to Bryce the first week of October. Love the channel, you always have great content. Get Well Tina!
Thanks Jerry! Now we've got to add another place to our list for 2024... But, I have a question for Tina. What brand of hiking pants are you wearing? I'm looking for something for backpacking and scrambling, and in this (and other) videos Tina has great gear pants. Thanks! Tina
@@JerryArizona We are big fans of Arc'teryx. Pricey, but worth it. I'll check them out, and I appreciate the reply. My wife and I are planning a 3 month camping/backpacking trip to celebrate our 5th Anniversary, and I just added this trail to our list of must dos! Thanks so much to you both.
This is a point of contention in the household. I say she's doing it wrong. You should curl all but the middle finger in a tight fist to accentuate that middle finger. She says you're supposed to extend the other fingers partially and bend at the first knuckle. Given this, I have to respectfully disagree with your middle finger technique appraisal.
No permits, but you pay a fee to enter the park. (Or we used our America the Beautiful cards.) There is a campground pretty close to the trailhead. I'm not sure how you get spots, but I'm assuming you reserve them in advance. (Look up Point Supreme Campground and you can get more info.)
I think it was some type of food poisoning. It is higher elevation than here in Phoenix, but not that high. I'm still bummed we couldn't make our other hike, but better safe than sorry.
2:21 Hey Tina, with the utmost respect and admiration, allow me to respond to your greeting in a similar fashion: 🖕 It looks like you both had fun out there.
Agreed. They do need to get some trails going down into the canyon here though. But one of these days I want to get a campsite at Cedar Breaks and be there for the sunset.
I love mini-Bryce. Great spot for stargazing too. I spent a whole night at the North View overlook staring at the sky and taking pictures.
Excellent video. Great to see Tina again
Wow. 5:45am here in Atlanta and I wake to see a new video and Tina is back! It’s gonna be a great day. Such a joy to watch you guys.
No, unfortunately I don't have the immersion heater. Which is making me think I need to get it because I've tried their hyper heater and a hot shower in the wilderness is amazing. Good to see Mrs. Arizona again!
I really enjoyed the double arch 😊. Thanks for sharing. CEDAR BREAKS is on my bucket list. I enjoy hiking with you 😊.
Wow! Thank you for sharing a wonderful video! When we were there in June, trails were closed with snow. So, it is wonderful to go through trail and see the view! Thank you!
What a powerful upload, this was filmed brilliantly! Shots are somehow full of detail and life! Love it!

Thank you crew , had that place pinned but not seen a video with that great a quality
Love cedar breaks! We didn’t know about the trail!Next time! Glad to see Tina too! 🥾
Good to know! We'll have to visit this majestic place. Hi Tina!
I visited Cedar Breaks maybe 30 years ago & your video brought back some great memories....Kudos! I also remember a short walk to an Alpine Pond which I found uniquely beautiful. Thanks for the flashbacks!
Awesome video , thanks for sharing
That's awesome the views and Tina's "two Fer fingers " shots 😅😂😊
Tina!!
We hiked there during the wildflower festival a few years ago. Another beautiful place in southern Utah.
I high school I skied into Cedar Breaks and it was rad. Pretty sweet place.
Definitely a beautiful area. We need to get back and explore when we have more time.
That double arch is sick!!! Another beautiful video my friend
Thanks, man. Good to see some new Matt Nowell vids, finally.
Awesome. I went there nine years ago…
One of my absolute favorite places….sunset is the best! PS I love your video/vlog description 😅

I loved this hike!! Thank you for sharing. It makes me miss Utah and Arizona hiking.
I give that same middle finger to Debt, Stress, and Scottsdale Princesses! 😅

We didn't, but I am going to research this now. Sounds amazing.
Now I want to go back to Utah

I need to get some Tina giving the finger T-shirts or hats made. No life size cutouts since I have the real thing at home.
The image alone on hats and T-shirts would would be something. You might also have ones printed with the caption, “I wonder what Tina thinks of switchbacks?”
Stickers!😅
Great video. You are lucky to have her as your wife.
Very lucky.
Family grievance hike at Cedar Breaks
Hopefully Paula's Mexican in St George is still making their refried beans the same way. Re-seasoned with spices and honey and fried crispy. Kodachrome basin is also a favorite of mine...
Adding Paula's to the list.....I don't have a Mexican food place in St. George.

I am hoping the weather looks as spectacular when I get there on October 6th!!!!
I bet it's beautiful up there at that time with all the aspen. Enjoy!
Beautiful spot. Let's not tell anybody else about this place, OK?

She says they are Arc'teryx tights. Not sure the exact ones though, but she loves them. They make great hiking clothes.

What is the brand of Tina's socks? I want some!!
They’re Darn Tough brand. Lightweight wool socks. They’re definitely my favorite hiking socks.
👍💯
😘
U missed the little pond!
nice place to hang out....
I'm gonna have to research that. This was a short stop over on the way to another hike, so I didn't do much homework.
Great middle finger technique
This is a point of contention in the household. I say she's doing it wrong. You should curl all but the middle finger in a tight fist to accentuate that middle finger. She says you're supposed to extend the other fingers partially and bend at the first knuckle. Given this, I have to respectfully disagree with your middle finger technique appraisal.
Somewhere I never visited... sadly... reminds me of Bryce Canyon. Ps., that middle finger would be useful checking your Prostate Jerry ?
Don't give her any ideas.
And with one middle finger all is right in the world again.
Do you need permits for this hike? Is there a place to camp for this place if someone is planning to hike this?
No permits, but you pay a fee to enter the park. (Or we used our America the Beautiful cards.) There is a campground pretty close to the trailhead. I'm not sure how you get spots, but I'm assuming you reserve them in advance. (Look up Point Supreme Campground and you can get more info.)
That upper arch is shaped a little bit like Texas
The elevation is rather high there isn’t it? Maybe Tina got altitude sickness.
I think it was some type of food poisoning. It is higher elevation than here in Phoenix, but not that high. I'm still bummed we couldn't make our other hike, but better safe than sorry.
2:21 Hey Tina, with the utmost respect and admiration, allow me to respond to your greeting in a similar fashion: 🖕

Cedar Breaks is like Bryce except there's no people. If you like crowds go to Bryce.
Agreed. They do need to get some trails going down into the canyon here though. But one of these days I want to get a campsite at Cedar Breaks and be there for the sunset.
Ya lost us at flipping the bird.
