Today's update adds unique Skillsets for Wolfgang, Wormwood and Woodie along with new craftable items and equipment. Check out the full details here: klei.gg/DSTCurrentUpdate
Hey Klei! There is a bug currently within Don't Starve Together at least on consoles where the garden digamajig is broken. When you place it the detritus appears but not the dirt turf to actually garden on, thus making gardening pretty much impossible.
@@LordAdriox Similar to Wilson's character update, Wolfgang, Woodie and Wormwood now have unique skills they can each unlock and learn while playing the game.
What's hilarious is that although wormwood loses 15 Sanity from seeing trees get chopped down, They actually gain 20 Sanity for replanting. So wormwood running a forestry (Which I assume but seem like factory farming for them) Actually is a great way to boost their sanity XD
@@andrerossi1091 the notification for your reply was enough of a fun reference, then I see you ARE Donovan, kudos to you my friend, and keep Reize safe
Yeah after all the years of solitude and suffering (like, ten years? More? All i know is that he was alone for a LONG time right?) Seeing him basically enjoying quality time and having some fun is so rewarding in a way.
This animation was great, it was goofy in a perfectly Don't Starve way. Also, I really hope showing a young Wagstaff is Klei's way of disproving the "Wagstaff is Wilson" theory
I feel like this is a nundge in the direction of the "Wagstaff is Wilson's father" theory. Now, using full disclosure, this theory has a big hole, Wilson's quote regarding Wagstaff, he just says "As a fellow man of science, i feel compelled to help him!" Not something a son would say about he's long absent father, it sounds like the thoughts of a stranger. Nonetheless, suppose this was an camara Wilson brought along (or was provided by Wagstaff), the video shows a carnival from the point of view of someone of small stature, that plus the attention payed to the balloons, the camera person is , most likely, a child. Now think about Wilson first arriving to Wagstaff's old cabin, he has an old photograph of the place. It makes sense that someone selling a house would have photo of it to provide the buyer a look of the house, but why would it be an old photo and not a new one. My idea, is that Wilson inherited the house after Wagstaffs disapperence, being the only relative they could find, and he always had a photo of the house. This, plus the fact that they both look very similar, makes me think they are blood relatives. Maybe not father and son, but maybe a stranged uncle, who he never actually met in person. (Sound familiar?)
I like how Wilson was not expecting Woodie to be the only character to follow the rules, he didn't even bother to make a cut for when he showed up Wolfgang's text thing which i find very funny
I think the joke is that Wolfgang was supposed to use the axe to chop down the tree which would play the “You really gave it the axe!” title card. But since Wolfgang obviously didn’t follow the instructions ( using the axe ), Wilson had to quickly improvise.
Finally I can learn how to play the game No but really the style, the way its a video presented by wilson and how each character interacts with each other is amazing. I hope klei makes more animationslike this one
At first, we were all a little sad to see Wilson was no longer unique for having a skilltree.. but it’s really sweet that apparently he decided to try and teach the others how to have one! (Or something like that.) At least, that’s what I’m getting from this short. What a selfless fella :)
this is why I don't feel good about a theory that Wilson = Wagstaff... Wilson, apart from being scientist is a good person and Wagstaff, well... he is efficient
@@paxtonl1330maybe because he tried to keep it clean and professional looking And most probably did a mistake Y'know he being the usual scientist that makes everything explode somehow and by accident Even just plain water lol

Great work on the animation Klei Team! I love how expressive and "cartoon styled" every character looked on this short, Specially wormwood haha! Poor thing.

This was so cute, one of my favorite shorts so far, seeing how they are tying to not only survive but live in the Constant, helping and teaching each other, making silly competitions. And then it ends and you have so many questions.
One of the rare times nothing bad happened, I thought that a tree guard was going to appear at the end when Wolfgang lifted that thing. Glad that Wilson's first movie from the constant went so well!
Wilson moving the the camera is a great creative decision. I hope this becomes some sort of series, especially for updates or any other stuff planned or covered in the game. Like recognizing if your friends are being attacked by them (introducing Maxwell), How to take care of rock plants (with Wes), Winfred teaching Wendy how to sing footage, or We took your camera as you are being creepy Wilson (enjoy this reel of you sleeping).
Important notice: The last few moments depict wagstaff at the chicago world's fair of 1893, implying that the film wilson is using is either spliced with that reel, or he is somehow filming over said reel. The clues that give away specifically what worlds fair is the statue on top of the arch, as well as the ferris wheel, which debuted at the chicago worlds fair. Wagstaff seems somewhat younger in that as well, and given the ties between fairs/circus and dark magic (William/Maxwell first using the codex umbra while on a train populated with traveling circus members) it is possible wagstaff first learned of the constant around this time.
Wilson having to re-write Wolfgang's card implies all the cards were pre-written, also implying he fully intended for Wormwood to fail to chop a tree down and also witness Woody murder one.
In almost a decade of playing games I've never seen a game so well maintained, and a company that cares as much about public opinion and feedback as Klei and the entire Don't Starve Series, that's rare to find today In the gaming world, I think it's because of this behavior and affection for its games that don't starve only grows and klei is increasingly well regarded by players... s2

I love how the text screens you see in old cartoons are actually just Wilson sticking (what I’m guessing is) decorated papyrus paper onto the camera, with Wilson having to change his message when the tree gets lifted. Even in a pinch, Wilson has GREAT handwriting. (Now I’m wondering if there could be a small update one day that gives signs a specific font depending on who wrote it. Wilson would be cursive, while someone like Wormwood would look more sloppy, but legible. That’d be a cool detail! Maybe it even changes the sign graphic, going from straight lines to a few squiggles to lots of squiggles to literally just a giant scribble. Klei, feel free to consider this, I won’t sue you. 😅🤔)
What I love the most about this animation, not only that is just so cute and adorable but also it feels so much like the good old Don't Stave style trailers! Awesome work, time to try the new skill sets!
It’s been so long since we last had a chill animation with no serious danger or world changing lore (outside of what the end indicates) it is pretty refreshing to just have an animation that just shows a normal scenario without world changing affects for an update
Woodie breaks Wormwood's heart when he chops down trees, but then he mends it by helping him plant new ones. Say what you will about the lumberjack, but he has a deep respect for nature... except when it comes to birds.

As an example of what NOT to do
Just gotta put him in charge of replanting.
I love seeing the survivors interacting with each other so much!
holy crap they're adding the tutorial animations from oxygen not included!
Wilson must've been taking a SELFIE at the end.
Can we all just talk about the fact that Wilson is a fan of puns? Because that's really AXE-ELENT.
I LOVE the panoramic? the depth of the bg that shifts with the shaky camera. Lovely short
hahaha gostei demaissss da nova animação ❤❤❤
e esse final heim... mais enigmas!
I cannot express how much I love Wormwood. He's (or it's) so pure and loving... At least for nature.
I really like the update and the animation is, as always, absolutely amazing.
Great job Klei ❤❤❤
there's no way the whole thing is recorded before entry into the Constant... right?
Yeah, there is no way. Wormwood is constant native. Unless klei does a funny.
In the original game, Maxwell says that time works differently in the constant. Maybe that's what's happening here?
Could be, my guess is that they recorded over old footage or something
Wolfgang Woodie and Wilson are from completly different countries so its 100% recorded in the constant
Wormwood never existed outside the constant, that's a definitive no
