moostang09 Man I would but my son has a theater play May 5. But I'm planning to get out there soon and see if I can redeem my time from last year. I need to learn how to launch without wheel hopping 😂 I only ran a 13.8 👎🏼 I should be low 13's or high 12's on a stock GT.
There will be plenty more test n tune days to join in on. Yes high 12's for sure. Are you auto or manual? I cant remember... What play is he in? My wife and I met in Theater appreciation class in college, fun fact!
moostang09 Mines a manual. That was the first and only time I've raced my car (.......at a track...) and I tried using launch control at 3500 rpm but just wheel hopped like a mug all thru 1st gear. Scary. Thankfully nothing broke! 😂 He's got the lead role in Willy Wonka. He's in 8th grade. He loves theater and is really good. 😊
I know this is an old video but I noticed that you check your pinion angle with your car on jack stands. The pinion angle will only be correct if the wheels are on the ground
As per the ford work shop manual the suspension hardware is a one time use torque to yield and should not be reused So there would be no need to put locktite on brand new hardware Also the upper control arm has the ride height preset at the factory and when servicing should be torqued with the vehicle in the normal ride hight position so that rubber bushings are not twisted when the vehicle is let down into the normal ride height
Bro same man! Haha. He makes it looks so easy, therefore, we like to poke fun about it. Without his videos though there would be many times installs would have taken so much longer!
Did the old upper control arm cause squeaks because my car makes squeaking noises when I go over bumps but it’s not as aggressive as other videos I’ve seen
Hey HD did you ever figure out the source of your squeak? I have a 2014 Gt and I've had all of my bushing checked and greased and for the life of me can not figure out where the squeak is co.i g from. Its sooo annoying.
JDOT KILL at first I thought it was my brakes but it was clearly not. I lubed up all my rubber bushings on my Rear Sway Bar and the noise went away for about 2-3 days. It comes back because the bushings are pretty much shot and grease wears off. Still never had the time to replace the whole sway bar bushings.
we got a cruise to the beach may 7th. our mustang club from houston where i am and our austin, and san Antonio chapters will b there. its also our houston chapter presidents bday so ye. would love more stangs. but we love everything.
Is that a pittsburg floor jack? It looks just like the one I just picked up from harborfreight, I was skeptical because it's cheap but it seems decent.
Yes sir it is. Its actually a buddy's but he said I use it more than him so he is letting me hold onto it until he needs it back. I love it, makes life so much easier with the longer handle and the flat surface to put under the car. You will enjoy it!
@11:37, would the large torque wrench not fit while the car was on jack stands to torque to 129 ft/lbs? Long story short, I have an aftermarket UCA and mount as well, and need to make sure the bolts are torqued to spec. (will be doing it in my garage also)
Nice tutorial man! A couple questions. Where did you place the jackstands in this install? Also where did you place the angle finder on the second measurement you took after the driveshaft?
awesome video bro, over the time have you had any noise from it? because im in the market for upper control arm but it seems like every brand develops some noise. i hope to hear from you.
I would recommend a family trip with that little girl of yours to disney (and a side trip for you to see @mustanglifestyle - they are about 45 minutes northeast) - I dont know them personally just a huge fan :D
Sick install bro 👍🏼 Looks like you're really getting your car ready for some track time!
+mikestangs550 I am trying to brother. May 5th at Ennis, you should come out and run! Just a fun time testing out the cars.

Bill is a cool dude...his videos, soooo educational.
+Mark le he is, we like to give him a hard time bc very install is sooo easy in his videos. We like Bill!
Any clunking from those arms?
Great video thank you .all my setup is whiteline except the upper arm.
What about the stock axle bushing? Seems like that will degrade quickly now you stiffened the other bushing.
Great video .but upr manual suggest the inside bolt with the 18mm should torque to 140ft/lb .you said 240 so whats the correct torque?
is your car lowered? if so how much?

Doest the car needs to be as level as possible and the suspension loaded ??
Yes
Ahaha I feel like every install I go to bill and half way thru the install I'm cussing at him asking why my bolts are so rusty ahha
Bro same man! Haha. He makes it looks so easy, therefore, we like to poke fun about it. Without his videos though there would be many times installs would have taken so much longer!
Tremec garage app doesn't exist. Do you have an alternative?

Mine does not squeak. I greased it up and haven’t had any issues.

Dope video man! Lmao! Hilarious when you input Bill introducing himself 😂😂
Thanks Alberto! We love Bill, he helps make installs easier!

How did you check pinion angle correctly with the stands on the frame and not the axle to simulate ride height?
We rechecked it by moving the jack stands. Just never showed it in the video..

Does anyone know the thread pitch to the 2 rearward bolts on mount itself?
Would love to see a colab with @mustanglifestyle - you have done some awesome work!
Tell them whats up!!! LoL! I appreciate the compliment man!

Love the video!
12:59 Your torque here is not accurate because you were applying effort on two areas of the torque wrench.
I HATE when I lose sense of direction and realize I was tightening it!!!
You look like sal from impractical jokers
You didn't have that child seat latched to the back?
+Coool Breeez I had already undone those to speed up the video. 👍🏻
lefty loosey ... righty tighty.. lol
Hi bill!!!! lol
LOL!
