- Hooked on ski-doo's SHOT, so this Arctic Cat Hardcore has got a custom e-start that allows the regular gas tank and option mountain seat. With SLP can and bush bash tested option bumper.
I really don’t understand why Cat doesn’t put real bumpers on Mountain sleds...oh NVM I remember they want you by the ‘extras’! Except it’s a necessity. Nice mod!
Adventures This Way: I’m OK with Cat using a basic bumper as stock. Lots of riders don’t go near trees. And remember, this is the brand that gives us high quality shocks as standard so we don’t have to drop two grand on aftermarkets.

How does the engine stack against the 850's at altitude? I'm a little shy about buying this because If I was a betting man I'd say they were about to come out with a whole new engine and line up (with Yam) for 2022. What are your thoughts on the new ski-doo 850 turbo?
Robert Bartholomew I think it’s great that Doo has got a stock turbo but I don’t ride at high altitude so I’m more interested in whether their new spindle geometry has fixed the handling glitches. The C-TEC 2 is grunty. I run out of me before I run out of engine.
What kind of seat is that?
I think it's called the Mountain Seat. From the Arctic Cat catalogue.
How do you like the taller seat? Is it longer than the stock seat?
Like it a lot. Yes, it's a bit longer and firmer at the back. The stock seat is pretty short so I was always off the back of it. Don't sit down a lot but when you do it needs to feel right.
Follow up question! How much longer is the taller seat than the hardcore non-es seat? Will the seat chassis hold if 2 people where sitting on it?
@@Lassejorgens1 Good timing with your question--I just spent two days riding two up a lot while retrieving a broken snow bike. It's only about 50-60mm longer but is much firmer at the rear so you can use all of it. Still better to have the pilot standing at back and passenger sitting in front though. Seat chassis is strong enough.. Has four anchor points.
That's the arctic cat accessory seat right? I seen one similar in the parts catalog.
Yep, that's the one. Couldn't order it in red so had to paint it.
@@AkatarawaJapan You did a good job on the colour match. How do you like the seat? Kind of jealous of your electric start. I had back surgery on christmas eve so i cant pull my sled over yet. Doubt i'll get out riding this year.
Seat is good but have a quibble with the unnecessary hardness of the widest points where your legs rub. I'm done with pull starts even without a crook back. E-start is just so much better if you're trying to ride out of a stuck sideways or upside down or whatever. Good luck with your back for next winter. No hurry. I had knee surgery last April and am still favoring it.

Why the battery?
JB motorsports: After experiencing the brilliant SHOT system on my Doo I’m done with pullstarting a sled 50 times a day. Wanted to fit Cat’s starter without having to use the special seat. Sticking the battery up front means I can have e-start plus whatever seat I like.
