Here’s a darker song I wrote about propaganda and war. I’ve been so nervous about this one. It’s honestly been one of the most painful songs I've worked on. Thinking through history about so many atrocities. I hate war. I hate loss. I know it's often necessary and to those who've served, I could not be more grateful for your courage. Your protection. I didn't want to share this one. It seemed like it might be offensive/divisive/just be too painful for so many people. But something in me felt like I should. So here it is. Love you all so much. Taking the time to listen to my work means more than you could ever know.
Aww, love you too Nathan! I'm glad you're brave enough to share this because I love this song so much! Im so happy I woke up on time to listen to this masterpiece 😭🥺💕
let me tell you you did an amazing thing this song has strong wording which encapsulate the horrors of war and beg the question what is it all for Really, Thank you 🙏
People get offended easily in this day and age, don't let what others feel make you change what you feel....your music reflects who you are, continue to stay true to yourself and your music
Reminds me of the scene in "All Quiet on the Western Front" when the protagonist injures an enemy soldier only to try in vain to save him when he realizes he also has a family back home...
Speaking as a veteran I can't imagine a better way to put this. I'm currently living in a home for damaged veterans we as a group have seen so much been through the wringer so many times. In war one loses who they are, pointless and unblinking we stand for those we love even if they don't recognize the lose we face. Thank you for this song it gives me such strength to know we're not the only ones who recognize these pointless wars.
"I don't wanna cry no more see another life get torn Tell me what's the point to this pain" I shivered at this line Man you got some strong words in this one really hits 🙏🙌🙏
Something I once read that has always stuck with me is "Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable." I think about that a lot. I'm glad you chose to share this song because as usual, you always put your heart and soul into the music and lyrics. Your songs always shake me to my core, and I'm glad I got to discover this channel. Best wishes and keep up the good work!
If you want "disturb the comfortable", I'd suggest also checking out Citizen Soldier. Their lyrics are nothing but disturbing relatability to anyone suffering mental pain.
it's so touching. My great-grandfather was in WW2 and never dared to tell us about what he went through, he was so scared just thinking about it. thank you for this song nathan, I love it
There's 129 thousand people who look forward to hearing your voice, and the emotional power behind your pain, your loss, and your desire. Thank you for sharing your voice with all of us, I'm so incredibly proud of you. Every single one of us is. I hope you find the courage to keep sharing some with us.
Wow the emotions behind those vocals though! Your music never fails to amaze me dude, honestly, this is just... Wow. War is indeed a terrible thing, it takes and takes and ruins lives. A song through this perspective is truly what needs to be heard. A Beautiful message of pain and sorrow, a plea for it to stop. Simply how beautiful.
War is interesting in a dark way: it’s shaped human history so much, but caused so much pain in the process. It’s easy to forget with films and books that every soldier is someone’s family member or friend. Every combatant has their own name, life, and stories.
I'm glad you chose to share this, not a lot of creators have the courage to cover how messed up humanity can be even though most of the time we aren't all bad. Thank you
And you do it again, Nathan! A masterpiece. I can't explain the great amount of emotions, reflective state and inspiration you bring to me with every single one of your creations. This is truly why you are my constant source of inspiration in music. I love this song as much as all of your other songs. There isn't not even a single one of yours that I don't love as much as the previous ones I've heard. You are seriously OUTSTADNING.
I love how you captured the tragedy that occurs when we do not respect the cost of conflict. It's sometimes necessary to fight, but don't lie to yourself and think it will not have severe consequences.
This song gives me chills, wow. So much emotion and pain. I feel really sad for all those who fight for peace and all those who don't make it. This is not fair. Like seriously, what is all of this for? It's so painful... Thank you so much for making this. This is a masterpiece.❤️🕊️
A war only ends with what people should have done in the first place: with people sitting down and talking. The violence is only adding to the total horrific bodycount and the terror people go through Its an amazing song, thank you for posting this and being brave enough to do so.
Your songs always give me chills. From the way you sing, the strumming of the guitar and the passion of the drums I hear every single emotion and feeling put into the songs you make. There are very few artists out there that I hear anymore that provide that level of passion and care into their work and you sir are absolutely phenomenal. As a little side story I used to play in my churches worship team and the team consisted of my 2 brothers, me and my mom. I since moved far away and can't play with them anymore and your music gives me a little piece of how I would feel when I would play with my family. Thanks for making music man I hope you continue to do more and touch other peoples lives like you do mine.
Omg I came straight here 😍 this is amazing nathan I love it so glad you decided to release it another one of your masterpieces to go in my nathan wagner collection ❤️ xx
Hi, Nathan! I'm listening to this song and trying not to cry. I have my own story. Not that painful and horrifyng as the million stories of people in my country (hello from Ukraine🇺🇦). My brother, my uncle, my classmates, thousands, millions are fighting for our freedom, European freedom, my freedom. I can't stop thinking, worrying about them, I already lost many people. And that's because of only ONE country with imperialism and propaganda inside their heads. I just want my country won this horrible war. Thank you for your masterpieces, they make me happy. This masterpiece is now in my heart forever ❤️
This song captures the essence of war so beautifully, so perfectly I don't have any words for this Masterpiece 🙌🙌 "Killed a man he had a name for what sake i don't know" this line really brought me to tears 🥲 Man you are just amazing 👍🙌
I have listened to a lot of your music and still do, this is definitely one of my favs, simply incredible, emotional, captivating, a perfection of expression, thank you Nathan, It is people like you that got me into music in the first place, music is my lifeline of survival, and you sir add to the hope of a better life
To protect one way of life against another, yet what in the end is protected? and still we must go to the fight 'cause we fear death more than we can believe in trust. I'm both thankful to them and ashamed of myself for the cost our veterans carry. I'm grateful for your beautiful music, thank you🖤
Oh my lord. This is so amazing. You have really touched me with these last few. You never fail to make me think deeper about whatever topic good or bad. Such a wonderful gift you have
Literally chills. I love all the stories and meanings behind the creation of your songs. If the topic of war is delicate, talking about it through music is one of the best ways to deliver a strong message, in my opinion. And I hope yours will resonate even further. Your sincerity behind your words is one of the reasons I love listening to you. I admire the progress you've made, and I have no doubt that you'll get even better in the coming years! Kudos to you, and thank you for your hard work :)
An endless war indeed, just the images of soldiers going through those tough times that no one can imagine, even the other song MEANING has it's meaning, truly a masterpiece. Made a video on the song called meaning I ha be to say it still gives me a feeling of me losing something I couldn't get back.
this is deep man 🥲 i can understand the fear in posting a song like this but it really is the truth, no matter the cause, in war each side believes their own is right and there’s suffering on each side. one day we’ll live in a land with no pain, war and suffering 🖤
This song was definitely a song needed especially with the news going on. I wish instead of war people and nations could just work it out. Communication is important.
oftentimes in war, no one measures the "true cost" in battle, from the soldiers on both sides of the conflict, to the civilians caught in the middle, and that true cost is higher than anyone can measure. so when, and if a conflict when all said and done is found based on a lie or for "selfish reasons", those who paid that cost can never look at another conflict without suspicion and disgust. war should be a very, very last option, and only to protect those things worth protecting. great song, you rocked it!
its been some time since i found your music and first i have to say they are all a masterpiece i love how every song tells a story with so much emotions in you voice its just amazing and beautifull you have your very own style of music pls never change that its something special i heard never before thank you for sharing your music with the world greetings from Germany
I came from Spotify to tell you that's it's a really difficult and beautiful song. I got emotional, especially during the bridge. Why do we do this to each other, unfathomable.
It really gave me chills. The words, the rage expressed through the music and your voice... Everything perfectly portrays the brutality and the sadness hidden behind every war
I‘m thankful RUclips brought me here, already found and followed you on Spotify and here. You have a absolutely great voice, I will be looking forward to everything you post!
I'll definitely be listening to this one a lot dude! My novel will have a whole War of unification saga going on in it so this is definitely an inspiration much needed to depict the cruel side of things! Your creativity and emotion will always inspire more art, I hope you know that!😊
Oh I can feel the emotion in this one. War is truly a terrible thing. I think we can definitely all share the feeling and just feel like "what is it for?" I can feel the pain through your voice Nathan. I'm really sorry for anyone that has gone through war, it truly is something horrible that only leaves pain, because no one ever wins. Thanks again man for making deep and touching music. This might be a bit darker but stills brings a message that can touch our souls. Never be afraid to share what you think needs to be shared. You bring a message of peace in so much chaos. We won't fight darkness with darkness and win. Your music is like a light in the fog, it always touches my heart and keeps me fighting. We have wars outside and wars inside. And it's very painful at times, but we are fighting for greater things. God bless you!
An important song in this difficult time. Thank you for sharing this. I like the melodies, the structure and the tension. I also like that you wrote this from the perspective of a soldier.
And congratulations again Nathan with your song and you will send their pain to these poor people. Bravo Nathan congratulations. May the spirits of the great soldiers rise up there from their light for their memories
Like you said it's a darker song... but it's a song worth hearing... the song is honest and from the heart. You never let us down with amazing ans heartfelt words. Xxx keep going. Keep strong. Keep smiling. Keep singing xxxx
You choose very hard theme for this song. Especially at this time. I wake up every day with one thought "is everything okay with my family and my friends?". War is terrible, and the people who start it cannot be forgiven. This time I don't say "Thanks", I'm not sure that listening this song one more time. It's hurt Inspiration to you, waiting for your next song
Oh Nathan.. you don't have to be nervous about giving out artistical creations. They are a representation of what we are, what we experienced, and not only us, that can even be the whole world... but anyway, those remains what they are, beautifull operas made to express feelings, immaginary or even storical things.. keep goin, and be proud, you have another beautifull and very expressive piece of art.
You did amazing job on this keep up the great work the screams was great right on point you should do more like this I love your music it helps me get through the day
sometimes one artist just hit your taste so bad that you binge watch their music videos lol have been hooked to your music since suffocate, like even during doing assignments I just vibe to your music , it's gold tier man! keep it up!
Wow I'm so happy you shared this masterpiece👏👏 I love how real and deep your music is😍 Never be afraid to hide your talent/music. All your songs are very beautiful and should never be hidden. God Bless you Nathan❤️
This song perfectly describes the way I feel about war too, it's a difficult idea to grasp and the reason behind it all often feels out of balance with what it takes to get the job done. Great song tho, keep it up❤
I'M SO SORRY FOR MISSING YOUR PREMIER!! But you never disappoint man. Never. I pray to God you grow to what you want to be and more. I cannot wait to see you even more famous
WOW! You’re such a fantastic singer and songwriter, it’s so heart touching and the emotions in those word’s are powerful. Your music is a wonderful work of art. I hope you get more attention soon :)
Oooh, this is so good! You paint a wonderful story Nathan. I just love all these tales that you tell and the imagery that it inspires for me. During the propaganda part I like to imagine a sinister, plastic looking senator with a large smile speaking at a rally. As a creative person, I have to thank you for inspiring me like this on a regular basis. I'm honestly really grateful. 😊 Edit: I also love the way you sing "toil," "spread," and "devastating!" You can just feel the pain in your voice!
NATHAN OGH MY GOD I CAN GIVING YOU A MILLION COMPLIMENTS EVERYTIME I HEAR ALL YOUR SONGS IT HITS DIFFERENT. ALL. OF. THIS. REALLY OH MY GOD I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAID JUST DONT STOP MAKING ANOTHER MASTERPIECE, NATHAN!
I'm russian, and I think those 2 words alone say everything. I'm sorry it had to come to this. What's happening right now is a tragedy, a tragedy my brother is part of. I want him to come back home alive and safe. I want the war of once brotherly nations to stop as soon as possible.
War don't end on the battle field, it follows soldiers home, I know was to married to a man who ill say was specialist in gathering intelgince, water boarding is a kindness...........enough said. thank you for your song Nathan.
"For years we have waged this endless war, no longer with no end in sight. It started with an assassination, but now there is no reason left in this carnage. All day artillery makes men go mad as men charge across no mans land to push the line by mere meters. Back home the people starve, while those behind the line suffer under enemy occupation. They said we would be home by Christmas, but three have already passed..."
Ah man i really like this one it's dark but it still be very good for it's theme i don't know why but this made me think of your other song "Worthless" but man i think almost cried very good Nathan.
My entire family is a huge military family- my grandad refuses to tell anyone abt his service and the one time he tried to open up to me- he started sobbing. My great uncle served in WW2 and when he got back he never married or had kids- when asked why he said “no woman would love me, after what I did, I don’t deserve that.” I have ptsd from an unrelated incident but bc of that, a lot of my dads military buddies trust me and let me in their inner circle bc we may have suffered different traumas- but the emotional outcome was the same. The stories they’ve told me are nothing short of horrifying. One can’t even eat meat and when his wife cooks he has to leave the house altogether and eat outside or else he starts shaking and vomiting. I’m so grateful for them and the sacrifices they made, but no one should have to suffer like that
I CAN FEEL YOUR PAIN, What is war for? there are only Losers, all those Fathers brothers and friends, dead, the pain, the heart Break, appalling waste of life Bless them and their families 👪
I love the words to this song. One thing is that you don't know what side the singer is on, which makes it all the more impactful. He could be American, German, Russian, Japanese, or Lebanese.

My great grandpa was a pilot and prisoner of war in WW2. He had so many heartbreaking stories and memories of his experiences.
Your great grandpa must be a good person, he can teach you many things about how hard life is and what sacrifice you have to give.

God bless you also
Honestly one of best songs I've every heard. Keep up the good work mate!
Thank you!
An important song in this difficult time. Thank you for sharing this. I like the melodies, the structure and the tension. I also like that you wrote this from the perspective of a soldier.
❤️
And congratulations again Nathan with your song and you will send their pain to these poor people. Bravo Nathan congratulations. May the spirits of the great soldiers rise up there from their light for their memories
Thank you
the first few verses gave me shivers for some reason, hard to explain why. as usual looking forward to the next one
Thank you
Like you said it's a darker song... but it's a song worth hearing... the song is honest and from the heart. You never let us down with amazing ans heartfelt words. Xxx keep going. Keep strong. Keep smiling. Keep singing xxxx
Thank you
You choose very hard theme for this song. Especially at this time.
I wake up every day with one thought "is everything okay with my family and my friends?". War is terrible, and the people who start it cannot be forgiven.
This time I don't say "Thanks", I'm not sure that listening this song one more time. It's hurt
Inspiration to you, waiting for your next song
Wishing your family and friends safety, much love.
Wow, this is really good, though very emotional! I really liked the audio-talking thing near the end, it was a good touch and really fit for the song.
Thank you
One of the most epic music i ever heard, thank You as always Nathan
Honored you think so! Thank you
Oh Nathan.. you don't have to be nervous about giving out artistical creations. They are a representation of what we are, what we experienced, and not only us, that can even be the whole world... but anyway, those remains what they are, beautifull operas made to express feelings, immaginary or even storical things.. keep goin, and be proud, you have another beautifull and very expressive piece of art.
I appreciate it, thank you
You did amazing job on this keep up the great work the screams was great right on point you should do more like this I love your music it helps me get through the day
❤️
"It's not the dying that gets ya, it's the killing that does ya in."

God bless you
This song perfectly describes the way I feel about war too, it's a difficult idea to grasp and the reason behind it all often feels out of balance with what it takes to get the job done. Great song tho, keep it up❤
Thank you so much
Oh man i didn't realize this JUST posted, its so good!!!
Thank you
Currently listening and It's amazing. Good job

Your music and voice are simply breathtaking.

Great Man.. Like the way you portrait your thoughts🙌
means a lot
WOW! You’re such a fantastic singer and songwriter, it’s so heart touching and the emotions in those word’s are powerful. Your music is a wonderful work of art. I hope you get more attention soon :)
Thank you so much!
Edit: I also love the way you sing "toil," "spread," and "devastating!" You can just feel the pain in your voice!
❤️
NATHAN OGH MY GOD I CAN GIVING YOU A MILLION COMPLIMENTS EVERYTIME I HEAR ALL YOUR SONGS IT HITS DIFFERENT. ALL. OF. THIS. REALLY OH MY GOD I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAID JUST DONT STOP MAKING ANOTHER MASTERPIECE, NATHAN!
Means the world😭❤️
this is so powerful, you captured the essence perfectly

I'm russian, and I think those 2 words alone say everything. I'm sorry it had to come to this. What's happening right now is a tragedy, a tragedy my brother is part of. I want him to come back home alive and safe. I want the war of once brotherly nations to stop as soon as possible.
Hope your brother comes home safe🙏 wishing your family the best❤️
@@nathanwagner762 thank you ❤️
Mate that's REALLY GOOD created work 【SONG】︎💪 I'm LIKED it 🔥❤
Thank you
Goosebumps! Love it!
Thank you
Beautifully done and I think it's fitting for what's going on in the world right now
Thank you😊
War don't end on the battle field, it follows soldiers home, I know was to married to a man who ill say was specialist in gathering intelgince, water boarding is a kindness...........enough said. thank you for your song Nathan.
of course
"For years we have waged this endless war, no longer with no end in sight. It started with an assassination, but now there is no reason left in this carnage. All day artillery makes men go mad as men charge across no mans land to push the line by mere meters. Back home the people starve, while those behind the line suffer under enemy occupation. They said we would be home by Christmas, but three have already passed..."
🙏
This song is a brilliant masterpiece. Great work brotherman 🤘🤘🤘

Man your music is incredible
Thank you
This is the definition of epic. It's INCREDIBLE !
Thank you
My entire family is a huge military family- my grandad refuses to tell anyone abt his service and the one time he tried to open up to me- he started sobbing. I’m so grateful for them and the sacrifices they made, but no one should have to suffer like that
Stay strong man. Their stories are something not everyone could handle
🙏
Couldn’t be a more relevant time for a good song like this
🙏🙏
I CAN FEEL YOUR PAIN, What is war for? there are only Losers, all those Fathers brothers and friends, dead, the pain, the heart Break, appalling waste of life Bless them and their families 👪
🙏🙏
O my gosh I love it ❤️
Ahhh so glad you do😭🙌😊
@@nathanwagner762Keep up the great work. It helps me so much 🙌
I love the words to this song. One thing is that you don't know what side the singer is on, which makes it all the more impactful. He could be American, German, Russian, Japanese, or Lebanese.
🙏
.... wow... all I have to say. Just.. Wow. KEEP ROCKING!
Thank you so much
This is my favorite song by far!!!
😊
