    Hi, thanks for the video i installed this switch on my car but when i hooked the turn signal nothing came up the reverse camera is working fine but nothing else. Do i need to install a application? Because I didn't.

      I don't have this particular video switcher, but the one I have is a two channel and in order to "turn on" my front bumper camera, it has to have 12v power, I do this with a dashboard switch, in the case of this switcher, I believe the power must be constant, so you can use the control pud and the camera is already powered, I hope I'm explaining clearly, I also want to try this switcher for my pickup truck since it will give me 5 total video inputs instead of 2 as of now, take care

      @JrgMP1 thanks mate! If I understood right, so I need to have a constant 12v to the camera and how do I trigger the camera with the turn signal? I do not want to use the control I just want the side cameras to be on just when I use the turn signals.

      @VehicleVignettes in another video for the same switcher some one mentioned that power should come from the stalk on the steering wheel, such solution seem more problematic then an actual solution, the other solution was to add a relay, something call a time delay relay, I have not look into that yet, sorry if I'm not of more help (if any to begin with)

    When I first turn on my vehicle, and go in to reverse, it does not pick ANY video feed. I've tried all 4 and none are enabled by default. I simply get "no video" until I first wake up the remote, then pick an input. How do I set a default? (note I've tried using the trigger wires, but as you state, that over-rides the remote, which doesn't work for me)

    I hooked up one of these to two backup cameras in my truck. One on the tailgate and one viewing into the bed. The switch nor trigger wires will switch the camera.
    I've tested both camera and they work when connected to the reverse input. But there is no switching happening. Any ideas?

      Hey, mate. Can you check if your cameras have the same format? Could be the issue when working with these switchers.

      @@VhediaVehicleMedia both feeds work fine, when connected to the reverse input. So I don't think it's a format problem.

      I think that in order to switch cameras with the controller pud, all video inputs/ cameras, has to have 12v power already, except for the camera that will be used for reverse, since it will only be powered when the reverse lights come on, hope this help and I'm also looking to purchase this switcher, so please let me know if what I told you is right or wrong or how did you solved the issue, thank you

      @@JrgMP1 so yes they need to have power in order to work (that's fairly obvious). In my case the wireless connection just didn't work so I got a replacement and it worked. However it then presented a new problem where it defaults to null every time it boots. So that's my current issue.
      To be fully fair the unit I have came from a different vendor but looks the same. So I can't be sure if the firmware is identical.
      I wouldn't hesitate to buy from vhedia. They actually support the product.

    thanks for the video, it was very helpful, but I'm having trouble with the side view cameras. I hooked them up to the blinkers, but because the power is only coming in at short intervals the camera keeps blinking on and off. is there a way to activate the camera with the turn signal and keep steady power to it?

    • @VhediaVehicleMedia
      @VhediaVehicleMedia  9 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, it does do that and the reason is the trigger wire should be to the indicator signal from the indicator stalk and not the power to indicator.
      So options are:
      1. We will see if we can change firmware. If we can change firmware so it will work ok even when power off for 3 seconds or so.
      2. www.narva.com.au/blogs/press-release/2017/Aug/14/relay-adjustable-timer-and-reverse-pin-models
      Time delay relay.
      3. Take from indicator stalk

    What if i want to connect my oem back camera(hyundai) and 3 after market cameras? Will it work? Also, what about guide lines?

    • @VhediaVehicleMedia
      @VhediaVehicleMedia  4 месяца назад

      Hey, mate. This depends on your head unit. Wouldn't work on some as the OEM camera does not have the same format as the after market ones.
