    That young kid was just tormenting the horse. His parents need to correct that behaviour and fast.

    Why do they insist on crowding around the poor horse and guard? No wonder the horses fidget and bite! They need to put those barriers back up and keep the tourists away from them.

    with rude and ignorant tourists pulling his

    Two comments. I'd like to think that the reason people who grab the reins can't or don't read English. But we know most do...which means most people don't either see the sign, ignore it, or believe they are those special entitled people who believe they are above it all.
    The other comment ...it might make a difference if both sides of the box have no rein signs. Bye from the States

    As a horsewoman who has lived with and bred horses for some 30+ years now, I watch these mostly for the horses. I found it interesting that the horse would move his head constantly with the crowds around him, until the little boy would hold his hand up. Then he would focus on the little boy and his eye would soften and his head would become very still. I've seen this often with horses - they know the difference between an adult who should know better and a child (foal), and respond accordingly. WE may be irritated by the foal, and project that onto the horse, but the horses almost never.

    • @suefrompa2567
      @suefrompa2567 8 месяцев назад +10

      As someone who has also owned and shown horses for appx.25 years, this boy was not simply holding his hand up, several times he was poking at the face of the horse with his fingers - teasing bratty behavior.

      @@suefrompa2567 I get that you want to be outraged. But I'll listen to the horse's body language just as I do with everyone else on these (and everywhere else, come to that). I've learned they are quite honest about what they are thinking and feeling if you can just get yourself and your preconceptions and what YOU would be thinking out of the way.

      @@triciajumonville7741 Want to be outraged? Goodness, if pointing out a child was teasing and tormenting a horse, then you can call it outrage 🙄 No preconceptions, just stating what most in this comment thread are saying. If you would let a horse you own let a child do this sort of taunting and teasing, then I feel sorry for your horse.

      @@suefrompa2567 Past experience has shown that "most" is not a wise way to decide what one should think over the evidence of one's own eyes. Especially in a place where "most" people are clearly engaged for the main purpose of being outraged at how other people are behaving. There's plenty to be outraged about on this site, in fact, that's clearly primarily its purpose, but this is not one of those situations. I stand by what I said.
