- ‘Tribute to Roxanne’ is a cover of the original The Police song ‘Roxanne’. The song was written by Sting in 1977, published by A&M Records. All rights with Sting.
This song and video are recorded by Tributeband The Policed in July 2020 in the great Recording Studio of E&E Productions in Schiedam, The Netherlands.

Roxanne is the most iconic song of the legendary ‘The Police’. We’ve tried to make a sincere tribute to this beautiful track. We added an arrangement for a classic double stringbass (the instrument that was played on dates from 1752!) and an interlude/solo. We went crazy with the small effects, gong drums, chimes, guitar snippets and backing vocals. We ended up with over 60 tracks to be mixed. We had great fun in the studio (yes we miss live playing!) A big thanks to Larissa and Anita and to the studio guys Ermin and Rob, very professional and great fun!

Sorry, but I don't agree. The arrangement works very well to my ears. And the drums are played beautifully.
