I think you actually played it the more complex than the way, Stewart Copeland plays it. I really like Stewart Copeland style however, he uses a lot of delay and does not execute as many notes on the high hat is people think. Essentially one sticky movement is making two sounds
Great cover but overall it's not super difficult. I worked with a reggae band for about 5 years. Once you understand the beat placement in reggae it's pretty easy to improvise this style of stuff.

I would say masterful, which it is in accordance to the album track, but Stewart would say that it's perfect to this particular take, because he claims that he always played each take differently.

"Wrapped around your Finger" is another one where there seems to be no drumming until you see him (or someone) play it. He does not stop and barely sits down for it.

Incredible cover. As a hard-core Police fan. This is one of my favourites and I drum to them almost every day but I cannot get my head around the drums to it. It's the echo that puts me off aswell as not being properly trained. This is the hardest song for me to play. I must level up!! 😂

Great job! Copeland gave us a clinic on hi hat technique- best in the business!
I liked this, but I just wish you were more forward -esp on the snare - rhythmically it seemed a bit heavy- like you were catching up to each note. I think a big part of this drum track is how SC sounds so light and fast - always anticipating the beat and making it feel as a listener that there is movement.
