- Twists, turns, speed and the Old West are top features of Renegade - our world-class wooden roller coaster. Riders will experience a two minute adventurous ride including a never-before-experienced twisting first drop, a low-to-the-ground high-speed S-turn and a high-speed station fly-by. Built in 2007, this wooden roller coaster has over 3000 feet of track and reaches 104 feet at the highest point. Renegade features a never before experienced twisting first drop, low to the ground high speed S-turn and high speed station fly-by. The song “Renegade” was a 1979 hit for American rock band Styx.
Some people don’t realize how fast this coaster really is until they do it in person
I went on it again yesterday and forgot how fast it was till I went on it
Yea
Even the track before the big hill goes sorta fady
I rode front seat in the rain once, It legit felt like HAIL.
Aydn ride in the back and then talk to me
I rode Millennium Force in the rain. It felt like airsoft pellets.
Evan Johnson LOL
@@evanjohnson7705 Try Fury 325. That thing HURTS!
@@ArtiicXD I bet
Without question one of the most underrated coasters in the country.
Ive personaly never been on this one but i can imagine its pretty good for thrillseekers
Balto Racing i’ve never seen this ride I saw it in the way back with no one at it I think it’s closed down now I don’t know why
Tumble Trouble it’s not closed down. I went in it last summer and it was so much fun.
Danni the Track Runner okay I always see it in the way back and I never go over thetr
Tumble Trouble because of this little known thing called Coronavirus
Renegade is a beast!!!! This POV doesn't do it justice. It's better to experience in person
Ki_Ki's World you get some good airtime on the renegade
agreed but its so rough in person
@@bauerdrums72 at least its not the corkscrew 💀💀
@@itsalyssabtw if u sit in the middle of corkscrew is not that bad
First and on,y time I was on it, it had a MASSIVE line.
Lmao when I was there a group of about 5 people were stuck at the top for 10 minutes I waved at them from Snoopy's rocket express
@@Jevmin 10 MINUTES?! I F*CKING WISH IT WAS 10 MINUTES ME AND MY FAMILY WAITED LIKE AN HOUR
@@I_Like_Ike53 stuck on the ride?
yikes haha I rode that shit today.
This ride has some insane airtime, some of the best I have ever experienced. Worth the long af trip just to experience it
such a kickass ride
So lucky to have this coaster at my home park!! Definitely one of the most underrated! Airtime is crazy, and this ride is so well-paced. It keeps throwing elements at you, and even during a longer one you're still entertained by the insane airtime. The blue train is rougher in my opinion than the red one, but they're both so hecking good it's hard to complain because you aren't focused on the roughness. If you ever get a chance to ride it, definitely take the time! It's soooo worth it!
best seat to sit in?
@@johnbolanos483 Definitely the back row!! Front row is good too, but the back gives you more airtime and the first drop is absolutely insane!!
@@corvid.canvas i sat in the very back row earlier today and it was hella fun‼️
@@johnbolanos483 Aw heck yeah!!! :D
hey do you think that the drop is very scary? i wasnt sure about going on it today but il building up the coursge for next time
This looks amazing, I used to live in Shakopee but we never went to valleyfair because I was too small and we moved to Ohio when I was 6. At least I have cedar point here but I’d love to come experience valleyfair.
Gray Shaneson lol cedar point is 100x times better than valleyfair
What Are Those? Well yeah I can tell but VALLEYFAIR still looks fun. I’m going to cedar point today actually!
Gray Shaneson lucky that’s my dream to go there, kings island and carowinds
How do you know that Cedar point is better if you never went there
steve blake you have to be blind to not know that cedar point is way better than valleyfair. Lmao how is it even close. Valleyfair has like 7 credits and cedar point has like 18 or something like that. And almost all their rides are better than valleyfair best. People always rank valleyfair as the 10th best cedar fair park out of 11 but cedar point is always 1. I can’t believe you asked that lol you must be blind or something. Gp are def annoying
The only downside (depending on the person) to this coaster is that you get thrashed around a bit and it can be a little jerky.
Renegade is such a good coaster
To describe this ride, I would say… Pure awesome! Literally tries to throw you out of the seat! Best ride at the park! This is my favorite wooden coaster!
Looks like an amazing GCI, never gets talked about enough.
It's the best GCI I've ever ridden lol
RemixedVoice yep it’s the best, 2nd being Mystic Timbers
Because cedar fair is basically leaving this thing to rot
This is genuinely the best ride I’ve been on GCI worked a miracle here. Night ride is amazing.
I went to Valleyfair last year. Renegade was my favorite ride in the park. I love a great wooden twister roller coaster! :)
Same here!
This POV just cannot capture how effing fast this ride feels when on it!
Clear, all clear, that all clear means your outta here! So sit up right, hold on tight and envoy the renegade ! YEHAW!!!!!
Almost died after that but 10/10
This is one of my favorite rides at valley fair.
This deserves WAY more attention then it gets
I went here I wasn’t expecting this it was so fast
(edit ew the emojis i used)
Yah i feel u
Reddit moment
I had no idea this thing's pacing was so good. Definitely a bucket list coaster for me.
if you think its good in the video just WAIT for when you go in person its insane.
I have been to parks all over the country, even the bigger more famous parks yet this coaster is BY FAR my most favorite of all time! I live about 3 hours away from this place so I go about 3 or 4 times a year
@@thrawl3 to 4 times a year and you live three hours away! I only go at most 2 times a year and I only live 30 minutes away
@@freddyfax I haven't done it for years, but used to get season passes and just randomly stop by in evening with a buddy who also got one. Wild Thing 10 times in a row (when lines were short, we took advantage) was wonderful for cracking my back. :D
I went on this roller coaster yesterday at night and it was so pretty with all of the lights! This coaster was so fun definitely on my favs at Valleyfair 😁
Lights? You sure this is the ride you rode? Lol this is my home park and renegade at night is one of the darkest coasters I’ve ever been on. Lol it’s hidden from the rest of the park so after that first drop you can barely see anything the rest of the ride.
@@DiddyKong41 yes I’m 100% sure it’s my home park too I went last year and I remembered this one part where you go down and you can see the lights.
Bucket list coaster ever since I saw a POV in 2008, can’t wait to finally give it a go in June
my mother told me this was a kid coaster.
i cried that day
dude me and my friend went to valley fair for a church trip and we no joke rode this ride 10 times (we counted) in a row... 😂 We sat in the front, the back, and the middle all at least two times each... we went a little crazy 😜
It might not seem like it from the vid, but this is one of the funnest roller coasters out there!!
This ride is so fucking rough but fun
Dude, I've never seen this coaster in person but man does it look fun! I love the way it keeps its speed and practically slings you into the Brake run. Looks awesome.
Oh, it's a dream to ride. I've only done it maybe 30 times, which isn't a lot when you consider how often I went. It is easily in my top 3 coasters of all time, though.
Valleyfair can you add a bm invert????
Phantom Triforce yeah. That would be nice.
Steel venom is a invert
Agreed...
@@javafloof Yeh but like a full circuit invert would be cool especially a B&M since we don't have one yet...
@@steeltricyclehorn Agreed. My theory is that we're getting a new coaster in the future because since the Dinosaur Alive thing is gone, there's enough room for a new coaster. Or they could just take my suggestion and put a B&M Invert over the water replacing Corkscrew since Corkscrew sucks lol. I get the nostalgia, but Cedar Point has Corkscrew as well. There only needs to be one, especially since ours here is rough and has a lotta headbanging. (And I'm one that normally doesn't complain about the roughness of a ride.) If the new invert was over the water...that'd just be sick and it's a perfect opportunity. The hardest part would be building the dang ride and matinence. I really hope they're gonna give us a coaster soon. Heck, even the new Vekoma "Intamin-style" launch coasters are looking really good, so that's always an option that I'd be down for. Cedar Fair isn't working with Intamin anymore after I305 happened, so that's out of the question. Maybe a Mack coaster would be good? Yes, they're pricy, but they are reliable, and that's what matters more than a crazy ride to the parks. Also if we got something like Copperhead Strike, that'd be so cool. Idk what they have in store for the park, but I hope we just get something good in the near future.
When I went on this I never sat on my seat that's how crazy fast it was I thought it would be a small kindergarten ride BUT NO
Of
I just went on this for the first time today. Wow what a thriller! It’s actually pretty smooth for a wooden rollercoaster, I thought. It’s more that it makes such crazy turns/ups and downs so quickly that can make it feel very intense. You definitely feel lots of negative Gs at those speeds. I was not expecting that. It was pretty scary honestly. No part of the track is wasted.
That is a well paced and intense GCI right there. Mystic Timbers is nothing against this
So storytime:
Me and my family waited in line for like an hour and all we saw was that it went up high so when we were finally on it we were expecting a normal drop but then I heard my dad shout "OH IT TURNS" and I look and nearly pass out
Underrated im looking at all the coaster RUclipsrs do a vid on valleyfair
I remember when I went on the renegade, I passed out...

Best ride in the park for sure! This ride is insane.
Elite GCI!
Renegade feels intense but isn’t I love it
Thanks for a awesome ride!
Great layout and pacing!
I go here almost every single day, Renegade is really underrated and this is one of my favorite rides
i rode front on time when it started storming, it was wack
This coaster is sooooooo underrated!
Such an awesome roller coaster.
Best gci.
Oh, man, I need to go on this again.
i went on this a few days ago,it’s so fun
This is a great coaster. I'm not a loop the loop guy. I like speed and turns!
The first time when I went on this ride, I was having a blast, and my dad right beside me was screaming cuss words and such.
once it crosses the road and gets out of the park, it just does whatever it wants!
🤪
i used to hate this ride and stopped riding it bc it was just to rough ive probably had a concussion on that thing
Line was long asf but definitely worth it!!
Minus The Sore Neck You Get From It....It's A Pretty Fun Ride
Bro I’m srs this is my favorite roller coaster at valley fair that isn’t the corkscrew
The renegade goes so fast
Valleyfair, youre lucky you got this.
One of the roughest coasters I’ve ever ridden, but also one of the best. The airtime you get in the back row is insane for a GCI!
That looks like fun!
I remember my friend didn’t like rollercoasters so I told him that he should go on this and it’s not even that bad… it was a big mistake
you go real zoom on this coaster
this ride is freaking scarey but it fun
Can someone explain what those two long strips of wood running in the middle of the track are???
I would think they would be used for maintenance workers so they can stand on the boards and fix the track.
this is the best ride there, periodt
Looks like it could use a re-tracking... and not RMC, or Titan, a full wood retracking
Happy to have my number one Coaster at my home park but we do need a new Coaster at valleyfair
Perhaps a B&M Invert would be nice. I also would like to have a Giga but I don't know how that would affect the park...
Invert or RMC Raptor are most likely.
@@steeltricyclehorn I don’t think we got room for a giga lol
@@noncreativearts5360 Yeah... Just really wish we did...
2 years later all we got was delirious 😭
Light work no reaction
I love this ride don't get me wrong but it's so SHAKEY
It's not rough
By far the roughest and most intense coaster
That’s the best one they have
I don't do coasters because I'm scared of heights and for some reason this one didn't really intimidate me much until I saw this video. Mostly because Renegade isn't nearly as high up as wild thing but this still looks insanely fast and I'm not good with that.
The first time I went on this coaster I had no idea what it did, except for being told that it was fast. I was expecting a straight drop after the big hill, but the turn to the side took me by complete surprise. 3 seconds of terror followed by some of the most fun I have ever had. Oh, and this coaster isn't fast. It is FAST
My first time on Renegade years and years ago was super memorable because most of the coaster is hidden from view of the park when you're at ground level, so you don't really realize what you're in for until you reach the top of the first hill.
Coming from a person who lives in Ohio and has only ever really been to kings island and has never rode this ride, this ride reminds me a lot of mystic timbers
Same manufacturer but built a decade before Mystic Timbers
Didn't like this ride at all in the back of the train but rode again in front and found it to be really fun while still very intense
back of the train sounds terrible
My all time favorite roller coaster at valley fair. I love it…it is super bumpy and rough though
Alright let's try re-wording my comment again so people don't say 'big gp' whatever the hell a GP is. This doesn't have the loops like corkscrew does nor does it drop you like wild thing does at the start but it's probably more enjoyable than both of them. This thing just whips you around like a ragdoll.
glad i live here (in the city ofc) so im not far
Amazing coaster but my ride was very rough and i got my elbow bruised
I been on Renegade outlaw coaster but on Valleyscare I like to call it The ghost train.
Renegade is the Fastest Rollercoaster of all at ValleyFair. Super Fun.
The hill at 1:13 provides some really good sustained airtime. I rode this ride like 10 times yesterday haha.
Warning: scaryer then it looks
You can see why this is my favorite ride in the park right?
Did they take this down? I don't remember seeing this last time I went.
Bro when i went on it the drop caught me off guard and i panicked but overall it was a fun ride
this is my FAVROTE coaster at valley fair
I actually havent ever ridden this one, needa try it this year
This looks like a rmc without inversions
Build it Bigger brought me here
for people who havent been on it, it is WAY faster than it looks
Tied with steel venom for best valleyfair coaster
I do not like this roller coaster it is to loud and rough+ wild thang is better
You searched renegade raider. Not this but this is cool
When I rode this ride I went BM in my pants. Train 2 row 4 seat 1.

You can't it's against the rules
@@imbored7640 that’s the joke
I've not ridden this but it looks super fast, super smooth, and super short.
Its way faster than it looks! I recommend not eating right before it.. i've had some uh.. experience
Just rode it today for the first time, not much experience with coasters prior to today but that ride was insanely fun. Definitely not the smoothest but that's a given with a wooden, especially at that speed. The thing feels like the fastest ride in the park for some reason.
@@feistybill8583 Very cool! Did the park just open yesterday (for the season)? I have to figure out a trip up to MN somehow in my travel plans.
would anyone recommend this for a beginner lmao? i’ve only been on high roller and i almost shit myself. mad mouse was scarish
If that's the case then perhaps you should try Excalibur first. Renegade is amazing but it feels a lot faster than High Roller. Excalibur is somewhere in between I'd say. Excalibur is just very jerky is the problem.
Ehhh i ima try it comeing on the 21 with the boys
