    The run to Spain for surgery and a fast recovery has been hashed. Marc isn't the only one who got bit this year by surgery and recovery that didn't go as well as expected. Cal had problems and names slip but BT was talking about Cal, Marc and a few others, and how the doc seems to not be able to pull things together and deliver like he used to.
    This year, Spain used WuFlu panic to nationalize the private healthcare sector, and rolled it into the government controlled care.

    The saddest thing is that a lot of these could apply to dovi, smart overtaking and strategy, giving priority to racecraft over quali pace or practice race pace, in a way he even had a "new" riding style, it wasn't new at all of course but it was something similar it was the old ride with the bike style that by the time he used it in ducati wasn't popular so in a way it was unique and for his time that was THE WAY to tame the monstruos ducati, unfortunately he scores incredibly low in the last aspect, he always mentions how he didn't have that much synergy with engineers and that was probably his downfall

    I think the first one is already wrong. Marquez for example is not only fast in races, but also in qualifying. The fact, the he is able to win from the back if the grid, doesn't mean, he is always slow in qualifying cause 'it doesn't matter". He is always fast, he set the most poles in the last years. Thats what champions differ from the other riders, always being able to ride fast, not only when it matters.

    I do not get how uneaven power pulses enable better torque characteristic, how it helps control power out of corner when it is uneaven? How does it reduce tyre wear? In my logic more regular power pulses are easier to control hah

    • @Toxic88088
      @Toxic88088 3 года назад +3

      You cannot get regular pulses with on a inline 4 engine with a flat plane crank. There'll be two dead spots per 360° of tire rotation which will put extra load when the other two parts where power delivery comes through. Think of a flat plane crank engine as a bicycle pedal. You only pedal it till it reaches a degree, then the inertia brings it back up. You cannot effectively put force on the pedal when they are at the very top or very bottom. Similarly with flat plane crank engine the 2 pistons are always at the very top and 2 pistons are always at the bottom, so when they spark like 1,4 and 2,3. There'll be a time between these two sets of pistons doing nothing but using inertia to move up or down. That'll create two flat spots on the power delivery. Rossi, Burgess and the yamaha crew did the testing on the crossplane crank for the inline 4 engine which set crank throws at every 90° eventually covering the whole 360° of rotation. That combined with an uneven firing order 1,3,2,4 the crank always gets power to rotate from each piston at any given amount of time. This enabled them to have a smooth power delivery. Crossplane i4's are like the best of both worlds. Top end of an i4 and the low end grunt of a V4. There's a lotta video's on the development of crossplane R1/M1. Check it out! Hope you can understand what I've explained!
