- We went to a real Amish family dinner. This is always a treat. We have a big Amish community not far from our house and we go once a year to this dinner. The Amish have a business where they cook for the community. Amish food is the best! Homemade Amish Dinner.

I love the Amish and the fellowship you guys have. It's so interesting seeing how they live. People need to get back to the basics. Where everything is locally sourced or homemade. It's a dying way of life that we need to revive in America.

Devo Delgado I agree, it’s overwhelming and so much immorality. I miss my quiet slow paced home town. Where you can sit outside in a beautiful field alone to talk to God. To read a book with only the sounds of the wind coming thru the wheat.
I went to this place called the Essenhaus, in Middleville Indiana..and they bring the food to the table like that. The food is some of the best restaurant food I have ever had! The Amish people really know how to cook!

I live in Elkhart Indiana which is only about 20 miles from Middlebury Indiana I have been at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant so many times and it's my favorite restaurant my sil and bil lives in Middlebury a very nice Amish community. The Amish sure knows how to cook.

Hi Dutch thanks for the video it's really nice to see people come together and sit down and have a dinner and enjoy their fellow man's company. The Amish are good honest hard-working people and you can't get no better than that. And their food is 100% natural and made from scratch that's the way it should be. That's very nice of them to open themselves up and to serve dinner with the church. Keep up the good work Dutch and I keep my eye out for your new videos 👀😉😊

I grew up in central Pa and miss the Amish people so much! They are so welcoming and amazing people.
The dinner looked so delicious. I noticed they even put second helpings out on a table.
Tons of food. Not glutenous but they definitely don't leave anyone hungry

This was interesting to watch and I am very glad that you did ask about filming which is very respectful. Many English ( as they call us) have never experienced this and many will never experience it either. I myself have been blessed to eat with the Amish often. My father's family was Amish. We visited quite often and were invited to eat with the families. I was asked once by my relatives if I wanted to be Amish could I and at that time I said yes but now I don't think so.I loved my time with them.
You have to be born into the community you can not just join . they are an amazing people , their population is growing at an amazing rate average family is 5 to 6 kids
@@MrJlove67 It was my great aunt on my father's side that asked me if I wanted to accept the Amish way of life. I know that many of the families have 5 to 6 kids. Most of the families I visited in my youth had an average of 8 to 10 kids. I knew I would have been allowed because my relatives were deacons in the Amish church. Since it was my great aunt technically I was born into the community.

Only thing is, there was an ad right in the middle of the prayer before the dinner so I was kinda bummed by that lol but all in all, a great video! Much love from my family to yours! I enjoyed this video. The food looked delicious. I am from Pennsylvania and I have gone to Amish farms in Lancaster, PA for meals and they were delicious as well. I live in Florida now and I miss going to the Amish meals a few times a year. When I visit PA, I am going to have to do this again. This video brought back tasty meals. Thanks.
There is an Amish/Mennonite community in Sarasota, Florida. There are a couple of Amish restaurants there.

Most my neighbors are Mennonite. They have some of the cleanest farms around here. My favorite thing is they keep to themselves, and I keep to myself. I've been wanting to attend their church and check out their services since part of their faith is based on the teachings of my 10th great grandfather Hans "The Martyr" Landis.

It was wonderful to see a family style Amish dinner and celebration of how great our Lord is and praising him on his birthday. What a kind service they are providing to the community. You all are really blessed to be near each other and share the holiday together each year. The meal looked so delicious I wanted to get a plate too. We have Amish who have a store not to far. I hope my health gets better so I can walk better. I'm disabled now and my mobility and other health issues make me high risk. I'm so happy for your family that your new off-grid home and all your plans are making progress. God bless you and your family and community. We live in Arkansas and have family in Oklahoma too.

Years ago our family went to a Amish familydinner , they served it to people they had great food! All natural! This is where I tried my first piece of shoo fly pie! Soooo good!❤️🇺🇸🌻🌷
I visit Holmes County Ohio 2 or 3 times a year where there is a large Amish community. It is just a couple of hours from me but I always stay several days and shop. There is a family that serves dinner to about 20 people at a time by reservations with a local business. Wonderful food, served in their home and afterwards the family entertains with songs and yodeling. They also have some homemade aprons, potholders and towels for sale made by their young girls. Beautiful farm setting and spotless clean, the children are so adorable.
Did you have to roll yourselves home. Wow---that was some food there.

If you go away hungry its your own fault. Ive had the distinct honor of eating many meals with my Amish friends. Very down to earth and gentle people. Love God and family. We could all learn how to love our neighbor from these fine folks.

My church was allowed to dine with the Amish. Chouteau Oklahoma. My. Family John Deere Agricultural Dealership sold
farm equipment to the Amish. It was a real pleasure driving them home. No business talk. Just people visiting.

We have an Amish family in our town where I live in Maine. They are very nice and warm. And they always each summer have a vegetable stand where they sell everything from vegetables from their garden to loads of breads and various pies, and these women know how to cook!

My husband works for the Amish in Salem Indiana. Tonight is their company Christmas dinner. I cant wait to eat their home cooked food. It is the best!! This will be our 7th Christmas dinner with the Amish.
The food looked delicious! I truly admire Amish & their devotion to their faith. Little dogs have lion hearts. I had a Pekingese who would regularly try to fight with a Rottweiler. The Rottie (Tia) just used her nose & rolled Abby out of the way. God bless you & thank you for your service. ❤&🙏🇺🇸
