Great video! Thanks for demonstrating AudioBox and Studio One!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and drop a comment! 🙏 I’m a big fan! 😄
GREAT TUT SIR!!! very clear and well explained!
Thank you! 🙂
Very informative. I've been recording piano tracks for 10 years running my keyboard directly into my keyboard into my laptop into audacity, and then mixing tracks. My laptop is dying. I got a new one but there isn't a line in from piano to computer without a lot of noise. So it's time to upgrade how I do things. In my research, this seems to be a good, affordable place to start that even this senior citizem could figure out who knows very little about engineering sound and mixing. I'm looking forward to upgrading my knowledge and my sound. I subscribed to your channel. I will be back.
great video! 🤩🙌
Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to record both audio and video with an Audiobox 96?
What was the gain setting on Audiobox USB96 when the electric guitar was recorded (It was DI, right?)? Was the volume control on the guitar turned to full?
I usually always have the guitar volume at 100% and yes it was a DI with no effects or amp simulator 😅 not sure what the Audiobox gain was at, usually don’t have to turn it up past the 50% position. Aim for -18db on your input meter in Studio One. Thanks for asking! Hope it helps 🙏
Look for the video “How to Record & Mix” your first song in Studio One video and MORE on my channel! Thanks for watching! 🙂
My computer doesn't detect the sound card... and therefore I can't change the out and input... what should I do?
sorry for my english...
If you have an Audiobox from Presonus you should download Universal Control from the Presonus website.. it’s in their downloads section and just download whatever version goes with your operating system. After it downloads you should see lots of Presonus products to choose. I’ll post the link shortly 🙏

can you use third party plugins in studio one Artist?
Yes! 😁
@@heychrisgreen but i can't do that mime is Studio one Artist 4 .5
what if the audiobox isnt coming up in your playbacks list
I recommend downloading Universal Control. Once it is installed, restart Studio One and you should see multiple audio devices to choose from.. if that doesn’t work try a different USB cable if you’re not using the included one.

Hi, I have a problem when I connect my audio interface to my PC. It generates a lot of noise, like electrical interference, which is very annoying and prevents me from making clean recordings. I am using the AUDIOBOX USB 96 interface and the RODE PODMIC dynamic microphone, but nothing I do seems to work. Thanks and regards.
Hello! Great question! Noise plagues most of us 😅 I wouldn’t say it’s primarily related to your Audiobox.. do you use a power conditioner? I can’t emphasize enough it’s very important to have everything in your circuit (Pc, interface, guitar pedals, speakers, monitor, etc..) on the same power strip.. I also would try separating your power cables from your signal cables.. power blocks that are commonly found on electronics are really really noisy around microphones and audio equipment..
As far as your Audiobox I would try a different USB cable. They make an adapter for usb cables that supposedly works like a ground lift.. try setting your interface away from power sources if possible.. make sure phantom power is off if you don’t need it.. try recording audio and bounce your tracks out.. you should be able to tell if it’s noise effecting your recording or just your listening position..
If it’s printed to your recordings (you hear the same noise when listening to recordings in your car, AirPods, etc) then you may have a bad mic or mic cable.
Sorry for being long winded! I know your frustrations but I have not had noise problems with my Audiobox if that is any consolation 😅
@@heychrisgreen thank you so much, I am going to try everything is possible. Regards.
I do have one but I am sick & tired of using it since i am always experiencing some crackling noise often. I had gone through all the settings from youtube then i literally stopped using it after few days
I understand! 😅 You might have already tried it but it sounds like the buffer settings need to be higher? Pops and clicks are usually issues with buffering. Having 1028 or higher should keep things clean but you’d have more latency
@@heychrisgreen Yeah i did try that even but as you mentioned latency issues. SO no other option ???
@@vinodhsinger The playback knob on the front of the interface that blends from inputs to playback is there so you can avoid the latency issues when recording. Most cheaper interfaces have that available. It could also be your computer? I don’t work at Presonus 😅 that’s all I can think of.. I’m using an RME interface as my main device but this Audiobox is still usable to me
@@heychrisgreen Thanks a lot, i am using a pc with 12gb ram, 1TB SDD Lenovo laptop
Bought it second hand, the serial number is rubbed out. Is there any other way to get the software or this thing useless now?
😬 yeah that is usually something that is transferred from the previous owner.. if you can still massage the person, they can transfer their ownership from their Presonus account over to you.. basically it will ask the seller to provide the email address associated with the buyer.. I’m not sure you need a serial number necessarily.. the interface should work with other DAWs or if you get a copy of Studio One Prime or Plus
@@heychrisgreen haha thanks for the reply, I bought it at the op shop😭 not looking good for me. I think you can use it without the software. It sucks that presonus does this honestly but it is what it is🤷♂️
@@heychrisgreen My serial number isnt 20-28 characters long and it wont let me enter it in, its only 11
