- Drummer Bobby Elliott of The Hollies finds the pocket for "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" during the show's final encore in front of an excited Copenhagen crowd. Typically playing in the U.K., Germany, New Zealand, and Australia, The Hollies make a rare stop at the music venue Docken in Copenhagen some 16 years after playing three shows in Denmark in 2003.
Tony Hicks - guitar, vocals
Bobby Elliott - drums
Peter Howarth - vocals, acoustic guitar
Ian Parker - keyboard, vocals
Steve Lauri - guitar, vocals
Ray Stiles - bass guitar, vocals
The Hollies recorded live in concert at Docken, a music venue located on the Öresund in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 18, 2019, the second last show of A Highway of Hits Tour. Развлечения
In this rare 1966 interview with Milwaukee AM radio jock Bob Barry, Tony Hicks explains the band's issues with US Immigrations, forcing a canceling of their show in Milwaukee at Devines Million Dollar Ballroom, now called the The Rave/Eagles Club. ruclips.net/video/NHZzgJV3OKc/видео.html
Tony Hicks, you are always welcome back anytime to play that missed show!
Most of these guys were born in the early or mid- 40's.
Kudos and respect to them for being out there performing.
no, only 2 originals
Tony Hicks is the best guitar player! And still incredibly good looking!
Tony rocks and so does the drummer Bobby Elliot. Miss Alan's lead vocals man.
Very awes job lots of spirit and one my long time fav songs that Shawn C sings at music night
Still as Crisp as a cold winters morning
Timeless music 🎶 ❣
Damn, he's still got some pipes, Great song.
Well... it's not the same guy. ;-)
@@lrh411doesn’t matter this band is doing better justice to the songs than the original line up could
@@Musicandguitars2745 Well it kind of matters when I am responding to someone that comments "he's still got some pipes" right? It's not "he" but someone else.
Boys and girls this is real music
Still sounds amazing
🔥🔥❤🇹🇷🙋♂️Bobby Elliott, Tony Hicks
Not quite as thrilling as the original, but it's great still to see the Hollies still performing after all these years.
Allan Clarke had the lead with that amazing voice!.
@@RegisWilkinsno era graham nash el vocalista?
Wishing I could have been there....love these guys.
Banda maravilhosa que saudades !!!! Parabéns a banda ouço até hoje e meu filho adora ...curte muito vocês . Para a gente saber que saudade não tem idade.
Of course many of us miss Allan Clarke but I also miss the short lived Rickfors/ Sylvester line up.
Right on!
Excelente canción, felicidades....
Love this song
De .si canciones favoritas.. saludos desde Hidalgo México 🇲🇽👌😉😏
Awesome conser greetings from turkey❤
Nossa isso é a mais pura raiz do Rock in Roll ................... Coisa linda
Que buen grupo me gusta mucho pero me quedo con el otro cantante 🥰🥰😘😘🇨🇱🇨🇱👍
Obviously Allan Clarke’s version is the definitive.. but this sounds really good also! The Hollies rock.
Original studio and their earlier live versions with Alan on lead guitar and vocals are far better, this isn’t bad though, a little bit different beat /rhythm
Exelente!!💪💪💪
Falta la voz de Alan Clarke!
Very competent tribute act
Lol
Not with Tony and Bobby in there it isn't.
Have you seen them live then or listened to the two studio albums that they have manufactured?
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra never have the original artist on stage with them too, I suppose that makes them a Competent tribute act too.
Beat beat in rock and roll
People are commenting so critical of this performance….
It sounded GREAT, and I’d rather have a REAL LIVE performance over lip syncing ANYTIME!!!
I love how he's talking over one of the greatest guitar riffs in all of history. Smh.
Where’s the harmonies ?
Hey Tony Hicks especially has been doing it a long time, I'm sure they're used to it ! But I know what you mean ...
It sucks that Allen Clark left the Hollies.
I may be wrong, but I heard he had a voice problem. The last time I checked, he was still working in music, but behind the scenes.
Why keep going on about Alan Clarke, he left the Hollies in 1999 !
Peter Howarth is a great singer and talented guitarist, with Bobby Elliott on drums and Tony Hicks on guitar absolute original members, not forgetting Ray Stiles on Bass, Steve Lauri on second guitar and Ian Parker on keyboards, all excellent musicians.
@@skipdow3 His voice went late 1990's and he could no longer sing. However, he has recovered and released a solo CD called Resurgence in 2019(I have it) and the good news for all the old guard is that Allen and Graham Nash are intending working together....they need to do it pretty soon as they are both knocking on the door of being 80 years young !!!!!!!!
😎💖💖💖
If I was the guitarist I would tell the singer to stop talking over my playing. Or it’s El Kabong time!
Agree!!!!
Yesssss
Allan’s missed….. this is not the Hollies!!
Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Without Alan Clarke singing the lead, it's not the same. Like having some other guy singing the Stones' Satisfaction. ...It blows. Need to leave the keyboard off.
🎤🎵Totally agree and lose the key board, piano overload because 3 guitars played raw is the sound they had 45 yrs. ago. At least
on this particular cut....🎼🎶
Bingo Bill!
Couldn't agree with you more... Stay safe... Rico
Nothing beats the original, but time, death, kinda fucks with that. It's like Queen. NOBODY can replace a Freddy Mercury, but we just have to be thankful that somebody is trying to preserve the original sounds. I'm a hiphop head, but a REAL ONE...and real HipHop heads have a massive love for genuine Rock. I feel you though my friend.
Mad Max interceptor V8 theme
Wheres Alan?
😎😎😎😎😎😎
PRS city !
this is not the hollies ....i see 1 hollie original
Two
The drummer also
Strictly speaking Bobby Elliott wasn’t the original drummer. Don Rathbone played on their first 2 hits
I thought Graham Nash was in this band
The lead singer spoiled the is great intro by his verbal!!!
Don’t know who the lead singer is but he’s no Allan Clarke. His attempt to get audience involvement really sucks. He ruined one of the Hollie’s best songs.
Sounds like he's at Butlins. Saves me buying a ticket for next year watching this
@@youtubesucks4197 I totally agree with you this is absolute shite !!!!!!
@@youtubesucks4197 I'm thinking the same thing..
Looks like the harmonies have gone
How dare you talk during that intro.
Без алана Кларка,!это конечно не то,!но что есть,то есть,!😊,
ES UN COVER .
Sorry but you can’t beat the original Hollies..
This isn’t the original band members ?
@@FSU92grad No. One of the original members was Alan Clark who I am pretty sure helped to write “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress.” There are loads of videos on the Hollies
Dont sound the same without the 3 guitar attack. Instead lets throw a piano in to screw up the heartbeat of the song.
Dummy had to keep blabbering until you completely missed the best part of the whole song. Even the guitarist was like...bro...shut up!
WoW wat slecht,waar is Alan🥰
Sitting in a nest of bad men..can't do that any more.
Dont know who singer is but hes not half as good as original can't really call it the hollies only 2 original remaining
I’d love to see bands with original members in the line up, unfortunately some members are too ill, don’t want, don’t need to, have lost vocal ability to or have left this world. Just like my doctor, dentist, pub landlord and many other professionals that were part of my growing up and my youth experiences.
On the subject of only Two original members.... Don’t mention Mick and Keith (Stones) Roger and Pete (who) and a few more, that keep the music alive.
I did find Pete Hogarth talking all the way through Tony Hicks intro, very rude and unnecessary.
Keep rocking Folks.
sucks gas
Not as good as Allan Clarke. Feels like he is running out of breath.
Graham Nash should rejoin the band.
NO 🤢🤮
Where’s Graham Nash. This ain’t the Hollies. Just like the bullshit reunion of the guess Who. No Burton No Randy. Why Bother
It’s their career dumbass! Every musician has a right to carry on earning a living even after their heyday Are you saying they curl up and die once one of the original members has departed? Would’ve been a pity if they’d done that after GN left.
