Thank you for this helpful video and insight on traveling to Cuba! Love the idea of going and supporting locals and their businesses and glad to hear that's a legal way to go. Thanks again!
Let me explain something: The tourist visa means that you go to a country as a white settler with the same privileges that the black slavers had in the time of slavery. .Why does she say is coming back? Sure, Cubans in Cuba are worth less than the feces she flushes down the toilet. But for this young lady and those who come to Cuba, I warn you not to continue with these advertisements, because the money that these accomplices of the dictatorship: the military they spend in Cuba for to buy instruments of torture, instruments of social control and keep black Cubans in the more than 5,000 concentration camps and 226 prisons that the communists use to imprison black Cuban women who are prettier than she is and need to prostitute themselves to eat. Cuba is the most horrible country in the world in everything. And this woman is a scoundrel, She knows everything very well, but they don,t care the people of Cuba die of hunger.
I have seen tons of Cuban Video, this is so far the Best I have seen, thanks for the info. I'm planning on going to cuba this year around September or october. I really look forward for this adventure.
@@simplefashionstylebyjohann1310 Jet Blue In Orlando International Airport. I'm heading there in August 2019. Maybe we can plan and meet up and go together. That would be Fun.
Very informative. I am a retiree living in Costa Rica. I have traveled around the world, and plan on making a trip to Cuba in the near future. You are correct, I have found the Latin people to be the friendliest and most helpful in the world! As we say in Costa Rica, Pura Vida.
Hello Jenn. Traveling there coming up soon. What kind of documentation are you required to maintain by the US. I know they require you keep receipts and an itinerary. Did US customs ask you for anything coming back into the US?
Hello! I think receipts and itinerary but you'd have to check for the latest regulations. I wasn't checked by US customs because I flew to Germany on the way out, but my bf who re-entered the US did not have anything checked on the way back. Friends also reported not having to be checked on the way back either.
Thanks! The small towns were gems. And yes, Europeans can freely visit with no issues. A good number of the tourists visiting when I was there were European. Glad you got a chance to see Cuba! :)
Great video Jen. You mentioned that you had an itinerary , pre-made before your trip. How detailed was it? and Did you have to show your itinerary to US customs? I am planning on taking the family (3 teenagers) and I think I will use the "Support the Cuba People" visa option
Thanks Arturo! My itinerary was quite detailed since it was created via a guide from Viahero, but we didn't even have to show our itinerary to US customs and no one ever checked. Honestly I think if you note staying at casa particulares, list of paladares you'll be eating at, and possibly tours by local guides such as visiting planatation/art galleries you'll be fine. My friend made her own itinerary through internet research with "support for cuban people" and had no issues. Have a great trip!
I’ve had watched so many videos on traveling to Cuba. This is one of 2 that I saved, Jen. Been there twice about more than ten years ago. And this year. I’d like to go back with hubby. I was only in Havana. But this time, I’d like to venture to the provinces. Vinales seem a pretty cool place. Is there anyway I could email you and ask for the casa particulares you’ve stayed? Thanks Jen. Looking forward to hear from you.
Hi Almira, so glad to hear you will go again! :) I won't be able to provide an email but did answer your question about the Casa Particulares in the video description of this video. I added direct links to the Airbnbs that we stayed at. Hope it helps and have a great trip!
Great video on eloquently discussing the "2 Worlds" of Cuba without harsh criticism of the type of Gov't the resilient people have to live with ! Young Americans need to visit places such as Cuba in order to SEE how the people in Socialist/Communist countries are forced to live !
Haha thanks for acknowledging that. There's a lot one can say about the government but I felt it wasn't my place to do it as a visitor. I absolutely agree with you in that people should visit and SEE for themselves how people in different countries live. The Cubans are such kind and resilient people. I was impressed by their spirit in spite of the hardship.
Nice video, I'm getting excited to go. So you just fill out the tourist card at the airport? Did you pre buy it? I'm questioning whether I need to go to mexico and then cuba or if I can still get the "non-tourist" visa.
cjwebco Thanks! Delighted to hear you’ll be going. :) For us, we were able to fill out and buy the tourist card for $100 at the Miami airport in the US literally right before departure. Miami is a huge Cuba hub so there is even a Cuba Ready Kiosk. No need to buy in advance in our case but you might want to research on your specific departure airport as it may vary from airport to airport. A few of my friends went through Mexico but I found it unnecessary as long as I had an itinerary showing I was going to support local Cuban people and culture.
Hey guys, just a note that if you're American, Trump just reinstated a ban for travel under the "People to People" category as of June 2019, but you should still be able to go via "Support for The Cuban People" as discussed in this video.

peacevalleyclinic Hi, I went through Viahero (you can pick how many days you want help with an itinerary.) Otherwise if you book a stay at a Casa Particular they have connections to local guides so that’s another way.
Really couldn't have summed it up better than your theme of "two worlds" - I think it's hard to fully understand life on the Communist island until you've seen both sides.
