We screwed up by forcing Amorim out of Sporting before he wanted to leave and not be backed immediately after he's been here for enough time to see which players he doesn't want. He needs the backing ffs

I've watched this show (1:00:09) , and the idea of "Free Pass" for the manager is bullshit . Amorim is doing bad and he should do better because this is shit
They’ll all turn on Amorim at the same time for the algo
Amorim is far more complicated than just giving him a free pass. If we keep losing, it makes it very difficult to invest in changing the team composition to suit his style. You need something to hang your hat on, because if it doesn't work out we aren't bringing in another manager who plays close to the same system, we'd have to rebuild half the squad again.
I think we'll bring in a couple of young players, limp on to the end of the season and then make another change if things don't improve. And if his flip out was as bad as some are reporting, then they have an excuse to sack him for free.

If I was Napoli, 100%. He’d thrive under conte in that league. He’s not built for the Amorim system but is obviously a good player. Since his debut NO player under 21 in Europe has as much output as him. And he’s played in a disjointed club in the hardest league in Europe.

Our last three before Amorim all played that system, how did that work out.
@MysteryInc01 excluding interim managers, the last 3 managers all played different systems, and all did better than Amorim is right now. One even finished 2nd and won an European trophy.
@pgc99 well I would count Ragnick as part of our last three managers. He played variations of the 4-3-3, so did Solksjaer and so did ten hag. Yes they tweaked the formation around depending on games like Ole playing a 4-1-2-3 or a 4-2-3-1 in the beginning which changed to a 4-2-1-3 or the infamous 5-3-1-1 by the end of his run. This mess is solely on the back of Ineos because they gave the Glazers a way out of selling the club outright.

yoro is on 120,000£ a month (he was at ~6,000 at lille) and he is 19 | he would NOT have gotten anywhere close to 120,000£ even at RM (which is why he didn't go there) | you paid ~50m for ugarte who is a hatchet man who beside running people down and tackling offers NOTHING and even that aspect is very hit/miss with him. you could have signed a random player from brazil or anywhere in south america who is somewhat athletic to do the same job for a FRACTION of the cost.

biggest issue is even if he did that, that is a ~50 million loss for you against FFP/PSR you cannot just release players from contracts or 'buy them out' without it counting as a PSR/FFP loss.

@doryissa403 last season he scored 7 goals in 4 leauge matches despite playing 36 times in the leauge starting 30+ consecutive games. He's not good at football and his game has not improved since his debut. He struggles with technical fundamentals and in game intelligence. Regularly running the ball of the pitch, missing open goals and his shots to goal conversion is pitiful. If you can't see how limited his game is that's on you....
