So it is rendering over a camera feed located in front of the vr headset they are wearing playing a game where the circles are placed in locations and set up to indicate which head is for what such as the snare and so on and then the midi feed is confirming those certain ones got hit while playing a guitar hero esque game
This really is a great piece of work and i really enjoy the way of learning through this. In fact I tried out to connect my Alesis Mesh Drum Kit to Oculus PCVR and it also works!🎉 So for practicing without headset I would love to see your notehighway once as a kind of standalone/spin-off App for Phone or ipad. 🙏👨🏭
Thats a really good idea, being able to see the note highway simply on a phone or a tablet would be great. I'm also planning on buying an actual e kit soon. Any recommendations? I've heard pretty good things about the Alesis Mesh kit so I might go for that or maybe a Roland TD-07kv.
Yes, we have a huge custom song ecosystem with pretty much all popular songs with drum parts mapped already. You can find out more on our Discord, in the note-highway channel: discord.gg/paradiddle
will this usher in a decline in support for regular quest 2 and only a focus for quest pro? I don't see myself being able to get a quest pro in the near or far future.
The quest 2 has a demo for AR like this. If I remember correctly, the mixed reality stuff is colored, while anything else is black and white due to passthrough limitations. Since most, if not all electric drumsets have a black and white color scheme, I assume this will still be completely supported on the quest 2, albeit not quite as good as this video shows it. The comment under me by Dota 2 (what a name lol) has a reply from the dev that says Quest 2, and any headset with passthrough, will be supported
Any headset with Passthrough AR support (including Quest 2) will support this feature! We're still targeting Quest 2 as one of our main platforms, nothing has changed there.
@@ParadiddleXRit doesn’t allow me to change to hand tracking/drumsticks even when I put my controllers down. It continues to wait for my controllers. Are there special settings to be able to do this?
OMG. I get out of work and set this up. If this works and helps me learn. I am going to personally tip you $75.00 I have real kit and having hard time with certain rudimentary.
Incredible work as always!
Wow you guys are really on top of this game project. Top-notch dev team
This video is amazing this is my favorite band and probably my favorite song😊
This is awesome! Really glad the plugin we made for UE works well!
Looking forward to this! I've already been overlaying paradiddle onto my ekit, but the midi integration will be awesome.
Amazing! Keep going!
Wow... This is definitely worth buying 😍
Will there be a tutorial on how to set this up?
This is really awesome! I'm buying the game today so I'm looking forward to this coming out in the future.
awesome🔥
This is sick
Omg this is amazing! I hope the new quest 3 will have good cameras for AR
Bro, it was amazing
So the playing is on the drum set, but the augmented reality is picking up the accuracy and helping learn the song?

How did u connect it?
Does this only work with electronic sets and/or acoustic sets with triggers?
God bless❤
So I can usb a kit to my quest and it registers the stick hits?
dude that's so cool omg
Where do I find the plugins I need?
Hey Paradiddle devs, is there a way to import custom songs without a computer?
I might be special but I am having trouble with hooking this up with my drum kit. any tips

I need to get this for my son. What all do I need? He has a high end Alesis kit. What vr setup does he need?
i have a valve index but that’s a expensive option. the newest meta quest i heard has the best compatibility
Dónde encuentro canciones y como las introduzco al juego
i want to ask if u can add songs to the game like connecting it to a pc and manually putting a song in there

@ParadiddleXR could you add techno drums to the games?
Is the drum set somehow connected to the HMD? Or does it recognise hits using the HMDs cameras?
In this specific video, the e-drum is connected to the HMD directly via the USB-C port. Hit detection is done using MIDI.
This is nice. I assume this is with the new Quest?
Yep this is recorded on a Quest Pro, though it'll work on any headset with Passthrough AR support (like Quest 2, Pico 4, Vive XR Elite etc)
@@ParadiddleXR I appreciate your reply. Thanks for the information, best wishes!
