Get the thing running, it's made to work, so let's see it doing some! If they're any good, put them to graft on strenuous work and see how they handle it.
I filmed 001 and 002 being dragged thru Chesterfield and since then they have both sat in Worksop yard for over 2 month 4 million quid each, 2 years behind schedule and sat gathering dust, and when 001 finally makes it to Crewe for tests up to Carlisle, i believe the diagrams were cancelled, someone might correct me on this, and as of yesterday, i passed 001 sat in Basford yard
It’s not the most successful of locos lol however it did complete its test run to Carlisle last week running light on its first run then under load with the mk3 coaching stock.
I know last week they had some issues which is why it didn’t run and far as i know it should be running by itself to Carlisle but it didn’t run last night
Good morning, hope you are well and thank you for the brilliant video.... Please excuse my ignorance, but what was the yellow locomotive and train at the very beginning of your video? Please don't laugh, but it looked similar to a class 66... Many thanks.
@AlexRailwayphotographyandvideo Many, many thanks for your help, kindness and understanding.. Thank you for replying to my message as I was very hesitant to sending you the message incase I was going to get laughed at Alex.

@@bfapple Freightliner have already publicly stated they're interested, but the testing has to be completed first.
@AndrewCowell50 that’s interesting to know. I also hear tfw are interested
@@bfapple They aren't going to sign up to something before it's proved to work...

Is this what it takes to couple up?
One of the faults I’m guessing stopped it from running yesterday night he struggled to get the Air line back on the 93 from the 37
Great video 👍
Many thanks 👍
Can I ask why the class 93 is taking so long passing trials?
@@jamescollins3647 really not sure to be honest with you. I know they have had some issues but it does seem too be taken for ever
Great footage.
Thank you 👍👍
@@AlexRailwayphotographyandvideo Please let me know if it's OK to share it.
@@roddersrail yeah please do 👍
The 56 and 37 will out live anything
What was 423 doing in the brush works?
These new modern locomotives seem to be more hastle to me
Can you get a muffler for your mic, it’s windy
It’s a fair point something I will look into reinvesting
Great video! What camera do you use to film?
@@petergut99 many thanks Currently I’m using a Panasonic HC-VXF1 Camcorder
Is 423 really that rare?
Don’t use your back as a crane!
Ok 👍
So why does class 93 run under its own power?
I know last week they had some issues which is why it didn’t run and far as i know it should be running by itself to Carlisle but it didn’t run last night
@AlexRailwayphotographyandvideo Not a good start, a brand new loco that doesn't run.

Firstly many thanks and believe it or not it’s the first time I’ve seen it running but that is a Rail grinding machine

423 doesn't sound well.
I was thinking that myself if smell o vision was a thing it wasn’t that great ever
And I bet the 37s will still outlive the class 93.... Seems like a complex coupling method on the 93...
Why can’t it run under its own power from the 25kv?
It run under its own power last night/this morning
As Blur once said Everything Modern Is Rubbish!
