This pilot and his crew so talented, this plane so magnificent, what a masterpiece of the art of flying in an airshow! A big thank for this beautiful video!⭐⭐⭐
Remember these back in the fifties & sixties flying over the house every day. I've flown on the Constellations but no DC-6s. The Connie was great & I'm sure the DC-6 is just as good. Both sound fabulous & do miss them. Air travel today isn't the same as back then. Not even close. Thanks so much for posting. P.S. This is a beauty too. Very nice.
Excellent come back and good presentation. And remember to monitor those engine driven hydraulic pumps every chance feasible. Over the years part 121 I've had several EDHP failures and once had an aux pump failure. We always try to be prepared to the best of our ability..
I've good memories from this event, great to see Julian. This DC6 was painted in KL livery for the movie Bride Flight during which they were guest at the Dutch Aviation Museum in Lelystad which is where I met Julian and the crew. During this time we did some flying with a French DC3, the 6 both in KL livery and our DC2 all together of which photos can be found on the internet, because I put them there 😉 Later that year we went with the Dutch DC2 to the airshow in Hamburg and teamed up with the 6 somewhere halfway to continue our way together. This video is from this event at Hamburg Germany of which also photos are also available on the internet because........ 😉 At the end of this airshow we did a large formation flight with the Swiss Connie, the 6, our 2 and a whole bunch of DC3s, must have been 12 or so aircraft all at once in the air. Didn't know the existence of this video before but better late than never I guess.

Couldn't agree more! And thank you!
What a beauty! I remember flying on them as a child. Thanks for the preservation.
Glad you enjoyed it!

@Aviopic Hello Willem! Long time, Thanks for your help at Lelystad!
Very nice painted in old KLM colours. This one is in a much better condition than the one I flew in. See my video of HK-1700
