    The best part about learning to build is the amazing amount of common sense & creative solutions everyone has to find on their own, or tweak for their own preferences. Build a guitar for a guitarist = building a light saber. A true challenge that lasts a lifetime.

    Thank you Gabi for taking the time to make this video for us. I've been researching this topic a lot lately and was not aware of this alternate method.

    A very useful tip. I have just made a mold and a bending form ready for my first attempt at building a guitar. Thanks Gabi.

    I love the way you do things & the way you use hand tools. Are you self taught?

    I cut out the side profiles with a router and a profile template before bending them. Have you tried this method? Do you see any problems with it?

    • @GabiM3112
      @GabiM3112  2 месяца назад

      No, I haven't and I do see problems for my workflow since you don't have much room to wiggle around. I also use the straight edge of the sides to line them up with my bending jig, so that I can make as sure as possible that the sides are not "twisted" and aligned parallelly, if that makes sense. Others do it, though, and they are doing fine with it.

      @@GabiM3112 I also use the straight, top edge, of the side lined up against my bending jig to keep it straight. Any ways, it works for me. Enjoy
