There are openings on the suite door where someone can look inside. But yes, the fact that the suite doors are closed adds to the privacy, but also restricts cabin crew from seeing you
I agree with you. SQ 777 offers a better seat and comfort when sleeping and resting is a point. I am 1,93m tall and the suit‘s bed is too small and narrow for me. So on a red eye flight I would always prefer the 777. Never had issues with the service though.
I noticed when you showed your second leg being upgraded to the A380 the mileage amounts needed for both saver and advantage. It noted “waitlisted” on the chart. Did that mean you were not confirmed in first but actually waitlisted?
Not flown SQ 777 First (that's why I'm here), but have flown the Suites twice, FRA SIN. You got a 'bad' crew (not really such a thing on Singapore, they're all awesome) on the A380. We had 2 dedicated FA's plus the purser, and to say they were beyond amazing is understating how good they were. Flying as a couple, and assuming you can book 1A/2A or 1F/2F, there's no better experience (although still waiting to try Etihad's Residence). You're right though, the Suites are nearly always 20-30% more than the 777, so I'm still torn for the next trip, don't have Suites money laying around, lol, and I booked during Covid before, so got a steal of a price.
It depends, if you want space, some privacy and maybe even a double cabin, you're lost with the 777-300. If better catering is enough for you for the extra charge over business class, then okay.
if your cabin door is closed, how does the FA know if you are awake, asleep, or watching a movie?

The suite doors have gaps and holes you can see through. The cabin crew definitely know what you’re up to at all times 😂
Boarding exp in SYD for any premium class in any flight is chaos most of the time
Agreed! I've boarded from Sydney twice and same experience. So probably its a Sydney issue.
@@MrPerfusionistshit show, we had the same experience, until we got on board and wow. First class service all the way, we will never fly QANTAS again

No I was confirmed on the 777. The 380 had no "saver/advantage" seats. On the day of travel, the agent was able to switch me to the A380
now i'm inspired to try both. which is better? that's the definition of a First World Problem.
100 percent!

Took the suites before to Del, HKG and Bom and they were superb. Hope this is just a once off incident
