It's so refreshing to see an atypical shonen MC, especially as a 31yo myself T_T more than that, he actually has a personality lol can't wait for what else this show brings!

Let’s gooo! Welcome to the Kaiju no 8 train 😁 A quick spoiler free run down of the Kaiju terms- Kaiju is the general term for any monster, any size. Yoju are small to mid size Kaiju, Honju are larger “boss” Kaiju. Yoju usually follow along the tracks of Honju, or can be spawned in by them. The Kaiju’s strength is labeled with fortitude levels, kind of like earthquakes (6.0, 7.2, 8.4, etc). Honju almost always have a fortitude level over 6.0. Any Kaiju with a fortitude of 8.0 or higher is a Daikaiju, and if they are particularly difficult to kill they are given a number identification like Kaiju no 2, Kaiju no 6, an so on.
We JUST finished watching ep 4 and had a bunch of questions about these terms lol would’ve been so helpful to read this beforehand 😂 thanks for breaking it down!

You guys are gonna have fun with this one. The cast dynamic is also really great. The story is good Ngl If you haven’t, it’s a bit more similar to Parasyte: The Maxim which is also a great anime to watch
So far we’re loving this! Lol they def know how to throw in the story twists too We’ll have to add Parasyte to our watchlist! We’ve heard about it before but never seen it 👌
