I think the problem is more entrenched than just reducing military spending, although there is a valid argument for that. If you look at any of the streets such as in Philly and many places in California, such as Oakland or 'Frisco one of the biggest drivers for homelessness and crime, is opioid addiction. Some areas the people on the streets look like zombies. Many of those people led normal lives, until they were PRESCRIBED opioids by their doctor. That is symptomatic of the problem in the US. In the USA, individuals living in cars due to partial homelessness result from a complex interplay of factors. High housing costs relative to income, stagnant wages, and income inequality drive this issue. Job loss, weak social support, medical expenses, evictions, and lack of affordable housing also contribute, while systemic problems and inadequate policies further perpetuate the phenomenon.
Considering the present situation, diversifying by shifting investments from real estate to financial markets or gold is recommended, despite potential future home price drops. Given prevailing mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, this move is prudent, particularly due to stricter mortgage regulations. Seeking advice from a knowledgeable independent financial advisor is advisable for those seeking guidance.

I think you are correct. I lived in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, Tucson and now Bethlehem, PA which has low taxes and very few homeless with no encampments. I don't even have to tell anyone about the other cities I lived in which NYC having the highest. I lost 38% of my income in taxes and I only made less than 10$/hour.
@venezzrok-fz1du I respectfully disagree. In most cases of liberal, high-taxed cities, the results are poor government services and people who are more poor compared to lower-taxed cities. The reason is clear. When you give the government more of your money, they, in turn, give you back as little as possible that they can get away with. When you let people keep more of their money, more privatization occurs, resulting in much more efficient and superior services and at lower costs. There are always exceptions to any rule, and perhaps the Netherlands is a rare exception. But, the rule is still true. The higher the taxes, the worse the public services are, and the more poverty exists.
@@99999myk It is also what the government does with your tax money. For example, I pay 49.5% tax over my income alone. But our goverment invests heavily in social services resulting in very few homeless.
Poverty has nothing to do with it. I've been to some of the poorest cities in the world and felt safer in those places abroad than cities in America. It's how you were raised and the morals you learn growing up.
It's self-delusion. They need to keep convincing themselves that the Titanic is sailing through clear waters because the sight of that iceberg ahead terrifies them so much that they'd rather not see it nor acknowledge the ship crashing into it. So, as the ship is sinking, they are rushing around telling the passengers that there's nothing to worry about, they have the situation well in hand and under control, nothing to see here, just go and enjoying your cocktails, Knapps and continue dancing. That little water you see around your ankle - don't worry. It's just a little dew from the cold outside.
They played “paper money numbers“ game so well. So it is easy with the manipulation on the monetary policy. But, without the real power, e.g improving people’s living standards, building/maintaining infrastructure, lowering poverty gap, etc. This money game will crash someday.
For US politicians, keeping their jobs and making them look brave outside US is far more important than keeping ordinary Americans safe and healthy. These politicians are funded by rich and elites and not homeless, drug addicts, low income people. Spending billions to stop China development and arming Taiwan is far more important than poverty matters in US.
to some extent, these people are also responsible. They are living in the most powerful country, its not uganda or somalia, What are their efforts to lead a better life? I guess zero!
This is shocking to see what is happening in US. I haven't seen homelessness like this in many poor countries. I fail to underdog why the US public allows this? Why do they keep on voting politicians who are more interested in Israel and Ukraine and hundreds of bases globally but not in their own country? This is insane
The support of Israel and Ukraine is a small ammount of money which does not help to resolve those problems. The main reason of homelessness and poverty is drug addiction. When people become addicted they lose everything. So, the best decision for everyone: don't use drugs. Average people in the US more opportunities to live better than in many other countries.
@@eugenevikernua1675 That is a lie. The main reason why is like this because the top 1% exploit everyone. According statistics only 26% of homeless people are on drugs that leaves 74% which is means lot more are not on drugs. "Average people in the US more opportunities to live better than in many other countries." I beg to differ. I been to the Philippines and Ecuador while people are poor they are least not living in tents and shitting on the streets. They are living in little homes they have built. They often have access to a well for water and so on. Its not American standards so that lifestyle is illegal here. Its one of the two extremes either homeless with nothing or pay lot of money for basic lifestyle. In these countries you can live a certain way based on your budget. The US has no flexible living period!
Wealth concentration, homelessness, mental health decline, bad parenting, drug addiction, not making enough, and increasing difficulties obtaining basic necessities is not a good mix for a large population

Homelessness, poverty, and crime are complex and interconnected issues that have plagued the United States for decades. These issues are often intertwined, with one exacerbating the others. For example, poverty can lead to homelessness, which in turn can increase the risk of involvement in crime.
And the US government has the face to pick on China where homeless people almost none exist. I think if the Chinese government governs the US, the situation would so much better than it is today. I was in China last year, I have to say, the US is so much worse than what China is today. The only way for the US to compete with China is do better and not threat China or stop China from development and modernization.
Too much hubris, too much nanophosphor, too much arrogance and belief in its "greatness" leads to stagnation. China once did that when it regarded itself as the "Middle Kingdom", the center of all civilization and the Manchurian Imperial Court fostered and cultivated that self-illusion even against the evidence of more industrial advancements from the West. When the kingdom fell, the devastation was immensely huge across the entire nation, culturally, religiously, and politically with the death of tens of millions and the loss of its treasures and "face", bringing in the "century of humiliation". China has learned its lesson and to this day, despite its' rise, refuses to admit it and still classifies itself as a: developing nation" with much to learn still. The Bible has words of wisdom in Proverbs when it warned against pride and how it can lead to falls. It is such=h a pity that more do not heed o believe in it and are headed for a very, very big fall. Under whose Presidency and Administration did that begin the downfall? sure - neither Obama, trump nor Biden have been able to fix the problem, but it all started several presidents ago, going back as far as the Nixon years, exacerbated along the way by the Clinton years and hurried along by the two Bushes years. Every single one of the politicians placed into positions of authority had the responsibility of solving those problems or at least, prevent them from happening or enacting national acts to reduce or slow them down - but most did not, holding themselves unaccountable, some with greater irresponsibility than others. It's horrible how most of the problems are in liberal cities with high taxes. High taxes = poverty.
here in the netherlands we pay far more taxes and aren't poor.
Imo, salaries are not high enough in the usa.

Seeing this, I wonder how politicians in the U.S. can brag about America as being "the Richest country ever"???
Anérica is not a country.

I beg to differ. As for crime....stop protesting on behalf of criminals!! All of this is our fault...can't blame everything on politicians.
The worlds No 1 unbelievable 😢
Мне нравится такая Америка, если бы не бестолковая вливания в Украину можно было бы всех бездомных наделить жильем,и закрыть все,все,кредиты...
15 billion just given to Isreal this year could have solved all homelessness in the U.S alone.
Gaza will be empty by Xmas.
Merry Christmas! 👹👹👹💀
send this to Biden!
NEWS FLASH: LA is a kindergarten compared to oakland.
Worse or better?
oakland is the liberal's capital. It's so bad, that it's ALWAYS spelled with a small "o".@@ShauhuaGu
That's what happens when people are allowed to buy property and constantly resell at higher prices ! In falsely inflates the price of properties then your average family's can no longer live on a normal wage . Governments need to step in and put a house limit on how many houses people can buy in their life time ! No one needs more then 4 houses in their life . This way others have a chance to buy houses ! House flippers need to become a thing on the past it's destroying the dreams of many . Greed must end people don't need to own or have so much . We should not have so many homeless while others own so much property. We need change and fast !
then Kim Jong. leader from noth corea leader is the solution. or someone from near by areas like Cuban government or even putin from Russia those
leaders know how to fix this issue. there plentiful out there to choose from. 😂😂😂😂😂.
In the U.S., they want even less Government fingers involved in their society (e.g. "States Rights, etc.). The people want the leaders they want, the people get the leaders they want, the people get exactly what they want. Simple. As long as the citizens are involved in popularity contests and choose by the cover of the book than what is inside according to merit, they will always get the bus driver in charge of captaining their cruise liner.
Похоже на закат империи: сама себя разрушила 😂😂
Reutová Olga,máte pravdu.
America's government is not the government for the people but a few shareholders of conglomerates.
No matter which party you choose, the outcome is the same.
