I honestly think there's something malfunctioning with the autofocus on that camera. It used to be a lot more competent, but now it just kicks on macro at complete random... I didn't even know they made a charcoal color D16s, I like them. I don't recall seeing these with a green backlight before, thought it was orange. For the silver base, you could maybe try the factory reset that I accidentally did, holding down delete while plugging it in. Probably won't do any good, but worth a shot. Those speakerphones are definitely not as good as the 150s. Most of Uniden's other speakerphones other than ones on the bases aren't as good as those it seems. These also seem to be quite susceptible to feedback, from what I know of the set my relatives have. If I could make one suggestion when filming these videos: when you're going through the menus and such on these phones, it would be nice if you could bring the screens a little closer to the camera so I can see some of the options. Obviously it's understandable if there may be personal information about to show up, but just like going through the settings or whatever people might like to see how the software works instead of just hearing the handset beeping. Just a small observation, but obviously you do what works best for you. Your answering machine greetings have been on point lately.
I don't know what's with that camera.. Perhaps it was a bad purchase.. But now that I've figured out how to keep the better camera going without the batteries, there should no longer be a need for this camera.. What phone had a green backlight? I thought I had tried that, but I don't remember.. It's worth a shot before tossing it.. These were really cheaply made sets, it's not worth investing much time into.. These speakerphones are pretty deplorable, they sound like the gain is way too high.. Not sure why, since the speakers are physically a reasonable size.. The 150/200s are perhaps one of the best quality handset speakerphones I've ever used.. I think they may just be the best Uniden handset speakerphones.. The 170s have decent speakerphones too.. The TRUs aren't bad, but the sound is a bit hollow.. There's one set of analog 5.8s that has a decent speakerphone sound too, but the model escapes me at the moment.. Feedback in what sense? I haven't encountered many situations where phones feedback unless they're calling in the same room.. That is a good suggestion, and admittedly my video quality has been relatively limited lately due to lack of time.. I have to record the entire week's videos in one day.. Fortunately the situation that's causing me to do that should be changing by the end of the month, and hopefully I'll be able to record videos over the span of several days at leisure once everything levels out..
