  • Iowa Northern Railway's daily freight, BUWA (Butler IA to Waterloo IA), is shown at Winslow Road between Shell Rock and Cedar Falls, Iowa midday Friday, May 10, 2024. IANR 3807, IANR 3805, IANR 3953 and IANR 4001 have 56 cars. Later, the train crawls across Conger Street toward the Canadian National Railway Waterloo Yard near downtown. The crew then shoved back west.

Nice work. When does this job run? Looking into making a visit soon.

Operations that day seemed to contradict what had been reported, i.e., BUWA should run in the evening. I was expecting WABU, reportedly on duty at 0800, but never saw it. A Cedar Rapids turn (WACR/CRWA) runs at night, and an Olewein local runs in the afternoon. Switch crews work Bryant Yard during the day and night it seemed.
