I've been using the 80 volt for about a month now and really like it, Jon. I was pleasantly surprised by the power as well as the longevity of the battery.
Thanks for the review, I have been thinking about getting a small chainsaw for when I'm sawing on the sawmill, I hadn't really thought about an electric chainsaw until now.
Great video, I have a gas chainsaw and a small electric but it’s corded. I’d take the electric one any day over the gas, so easy to use no hassles of gas starting and all that! I don’t use them often enough to warrant a battery one but they look great!!
i have a lawn mower-same brand, and i think it takes the same battery. it kicks so much ass! i can cut my whole yard with one charge when with my gas mower i'd have to refill the tank once. i am very, very pleased with it. i am sure that this saw is also well worth it.
Hello John I have a question for you , but like always love your vids. My question is I am looking to take some continuing education classes in Carpentry. I'm looking at the Bergen county tech school in NJ, but before I do just wanted to know if you had any feed back of where or what is a good place to look for to learn Carpentry?
I used to laugh at the thought of "battery powered" outdoor equipment. Ive got the full arsenal of gas powered stihl homeowner equipment, saws, trimmers, weed eaters, blowers......lawnmower.... but i recently got my hands on some of the lithium battery powered equipment from Stihl and Milwaukee and i have to admit the ease of use, convinces and little maintenance has me thinking twice about this new equipment. I can definitely see the appeal especially for smaller yards and for older adults who sometimes have a hard time pulling to start the gas powered equipment. Batteries are the future for a lot of tools, just look at the new miter saws and such
Why were you not wearing any protective equipment, your viewers are going to see this and think it is safe not to wear the gear. Very nice tool though and a great advantage to the noise petrol ones make.
Ok I think you tool the whole green thing too far green electric power tool, green works chainsaw. is that a green screen you are standing in front of in the first 26 seconds of the intro? If so then great job on the edit man I can barely tell! :)
Dang Jon, that saw really did a ton of work. Probably more than any homeowner would reasonably need. Great find
Got The 40v , 16in bar! I love it. Old Stihl 290 Back to the shed!

Thanks for sharing this review with us!
I have been tempted by these electric chainsaws. That seems like it did a lot on that one charge
You can't beat one for these type situations. I have a corded Homelite for things such as this.

It isn't electric. It's battery.
The electric, lithium battery powers an electric brushless motor...
@@MatthewSwasta wrong dork. Electric means you plug it in.
If you want electric get a dedicated corded electric. Sawmills would disappoint. Probably run out of battery after the first side trim cut.
So cutting down that tree used 2 bars?? I just ordered one of these and just wondering about the run time with a 2.0 ah battery it comes with
How long did it take to cut that whole thing up? I'm just wondering because it ate up half the battery on the chainsaw.
Since the video is 2:57 long including Jon talking, I would say about 2 min. So expect around 4 min. worktime on one full batteri. You're welcome ;-)
about 20 minutes , I think it takes about 40 minutes to charge full

All that with a 2ahm battery?

What are you going to do with the wood?
I didn't know Hawkeye did product reviews? 😁

that would be fantastic marketing for the company to send you out a few tools
Yeah, the wind was crazy up here in 13733 the other night.
Nice.
I have a 40volt greenworks. You can take it from me when you pry it from my cold dead hands.
Surprised me too with how long it lasted.
Bruce A. Ulrich that's like 20min. Of work and it takes 40min to charge it apparently. That's pretty damn good imo.

I have the blower the weed wacker and the mower and also the pressure washer I love them all my next is the chainsaw Greenworks Pro rocks
Not gonna lie!!! That thing looks like it kicks some serious butt at half the dbs!!!!
For that many cuts half battery life on there smallest 2.0 amp battery is great. Imagine the 4.0 amp or 6.0 amp battery.
Only one's I see online are 40 volt, did you make a mistake in the title?
+mailperson no they make a 60 and 80 volt you should be able to find it both... I think
mailperson 60 volt on sale at Lowe’s
Those limbs could make some really nice coasters to accent a coffee table ;)
what about a chain oiler? I was hoping to get a more in-depth review of it.
texsurfer the Oiler was what he said he put the oil in.
ya but there wasn't much mention of how well everything worked together. imho
I hate my Stihl chainsaw. Won't start consistently despite all the "tricks" to get it to run. Maybe battery is the way to go.
Damm Right!!!
That's a lot of angry pixies
You AvE guys are out of control.
Chooches good.
