Saw them live at the Tennessee Theater in downtown Knoxville. Very impressive. I have been a Beatle fan since December 1963. These guys are authentic. They had all of it, the music, the vocals, the almost inperceivable nuances, all of it.
I have seen alot of Beatles tribute band and they ALL are quite good❤! All different in some respects but all awesome in intentions and talent ❤❤❤❤,we are lucky all these bands are around for us to enjoy!1964 us one of the best!!!!
Great band. One of the best IMHO because they dare to play the "deep cuts" like, "Anytime At All", "And Your Bird Can Sing" etc. I've seen 4 different Beatles tribute bands & NONE of them would play any deep cuts or B-sides as some people call them.
I agree. Mac Ruffing isn't really any good. When you watch him he's not playing the real bass parts....looks like he's strumming. He also looks stiff. 20 years ago these guys were the best tribute out there. Losing Gary Grimes and age have taken their tool. The Fab Four is top dog for now. They've also started to mix in new and younger guys. Ardy Sarraf is the best "Paul" out there. He has even stood in with 1964 a few times.
Absolutely agreed. And that’s not to demean the “Pauls” that came after him in 1964, because they had massive shoes to fill…Gary was simply one of a kind, and a wonderful guy - as all the guys in 1964 are; I’m privileged to personally know them.
The BackBeat Beatles (Hamburg Beatles Tribute) “Cry For A Shadow/My Bonnie/Besame Mucho/Hey Jude” Live at The StarClub Set, Hong Kong 2018 MAMA. He's my age and I was born in '52. They've been around since the early 80's. Possibly the first Beatle tribute band. Their early stuff is all over RUclips look it up.
@@keithhyttinen8275 They were king back then. I had been in a Beatles band as John in the 80's and really didn't think most of the tribute bands at the time (including mine) were very good. My wife begged me to see these guys and I went. I was very impressed with them. It was not just the music but the spirit they projected. The two key guys were Mark Benson (John) and Gary Grimes (Paul). They also had the great Jimmy Pou as George for a while. They were the top dog for along time. They took the biggest hit when Grimes died in 2010. In my mind they never recovered. And since then we have seen better groups like the Fab Four which in my mind is the top act for now.
been seeing them since like the mid to late '90s...of course, the members have changed since then. Gary has been gone for like 10 yrs. George and Ringo have been changed.
The vocals were phenomenal. On the first number I noticed George was playing everything spot on. After that it sounded like his guitar went out of tune or maybe it was John lol not sure. Update: Yes right before Please Please Me George Tuned up.

Gary Grimes just cannot be replaced........he was absolutely perfect as Paul.

Mantap
Great video, apart from seeing the guitar parts, you can also observe Ringo’s drum parts, I’m learning drums so this is a great reference to use.
Sao de muito talentos e corajosos
Not a bad lennon, too bad he is pushing 70? looks quite old, but still has charm!

His name is Mark Benson
I saw these guys in 1995 at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. Different lineup except the John fellow.

Alguém sabe de onde é essa banda???
United States.
John and Paul are from Cleveland Ohio but the George and Ringo hail from Michigan
😢i noticed at the end when they're playing She Loves You, the drummer isn't even hitting the snare drum. Some pre-recorded stuff here. That's a shame
You are mistaken. The video sync is off from the audio. 1964 uses no tracks, and if they did, snare would not be something prerecorded.
Totally wrong.
