Dude, I don't know you at all -- I found this video through Reddit, where people are CLAMORING for you to do an interview. But let me tell you something, man. Good fuckin' job. You brought tears to my eyes. Enjoy this moment, man. This is yours.
Wow, that means alot Thank you so much for that. Trust me when I say it's been a wild last few days. I was able to feel like a rockstar from playing on stage to doing interviews and having everyone message me.
Every time I see a Killers' performance, I'm always amazed by the level of audience interaction/participation they encourage and use throughout their performances, simply amazing. There's a reason they're one of the best live performers around.
I was there, and like other people are saying, this was a highlight! One of our own, up there with the best, killing it, rolling with the changes of arrangement to include the audience! So glad you got these shots of it too, congratulations!
I've been watching youtube videos for about 10 years, and for the first time ever, I literally clapped watching one... at the end of you playing with The Killers and you stood up and adjusted your suit like a badass! Absolutely timeless!
Wow thank you so much that's so awesome to hear! to be honest I was adjusting it because it was riding up on me so I just wanted to make it fit comfortably but now that I look at it, it comes across completely different lmao!!!
Hey bud, thanks to you and your video I took a shot at making a sign and they pulled me up to drum in San Diego last night!!! Thank you for initiating this, there were about 10 other people with signs it's becoming a thing!! Cheers man
cameback to watch this again after saw your Q&A's video! man this gives me goosebumps! congrats once again, and thanks for sharing that moment to the world. cheers from indonesia!
Adjusting your suit at the end showed how you have owned everything during your show. I have seen this exact clip many times. It is just timeless and keeps on amazing everytime :) Great job Brandon. I will be seeing The Killers live at Rock Werchter this year in Belgium. I will think of your skills during this song.
Thank you so much my friend! I appreciate the kind words and that's so awesome! I'll be seeing them in September in Toronto and it feels like it's been forever so I know we're both in for a great time at our local shows :)
At first I was skeptical. Then I saw you actually did play. Then you didn't just play but KILLED the entire song, and not just "oh it was good". No man, I'm a drummer (and not just some guy who says he is but never practices, I'm in school for it and practice daily, gig lots) and you absolutely nailed all the parts, picked up on all the little live tricks they wanted to pull and were tasteful too. Great job man, you got it!!
¡Muy bien, pibe, te felicito! Salvo por el detalle de que parecías estar más pendiente de tomarte una selfie que de saludarlos; Brandon te tuvo que abrazar ._. Pero fuera de eso, me alegro por el momento que pasaste.
"Simple" drumming has its own difficulty. Playing few notes with just the right amount of power - precision groove and tempo-control of the utmost importance. I struggle just as much with Spaceman, Runaways or When You Were Young (I have a clip with me playing on the latter on my channel), as I do with Subdivisions, Freewill or Marathon by Rush.
This is cool that they had a fan do this. Something that would have been cool since they were in Canada is if they had Neil Peart of rush on drums or since I'm a fan of him Phil Collins of Genius would have been a hoot as well and an interesting crossover even more if they played each others songs.
I was at the show in Philly. They did this with a fan here too. Also it looks like LA and St. Louis too. Same song in each. Brandon alluded to the fact that it wasn’t planned ahead of time.
I was the first one on the drums to play with them and another fan had played with him on synth during dustland fairytale not longer before this. I held up a sign asking to play with them and it kind of became a tradition.
oh I get it now. Because the same happened here. Some guy was holding a sign, and this happened, in the same song. Cool, congrats!! Must have been a great experience.
I *love* the way you fix your jacket at the very end of the tune. You stand up and can say to yourself, "Yep....fucking *nailed* it!" Such a great experience for you man. Really good shit!
you did a really good job dude I WOULD DIE TO PLAY GUITAR WITH THEM ON STAGE I wish you played drums for this song when I saw them in Boston on the 7th
Having seen one of those moments of temporary celebrity and experiencing a completely unforgettable day myself a few years back, I completely understood what you meant about the surrealism of it all and that feeling of positivity permeating around you. It’s so true that if you have a dream and put your heart completely into something, everyone and everything can suddenly fall into place and it can happen against all odds. Thanks for that reminder with your inspiring Q&A video. I was at the show and I’m glad to have witnessed such an amazing moment in your life even if you’re a stranger! You did so great! Congrats!
It's Christmas Eve in Chicago, I'm trying to wind down from a stressful week and I found myself wanting to watch your performance again. Thank you for killing it. Thank you for grabbing the brass ring. Thank you for giving hope to us all that dreams, even those that might last for just a moment, are worth reaching for. This is a great song, but seen thru the prism of your performance it means so much more. Thanks for the inspiration!
I was watching a couple other performances this evening and found myself agreeing with this particular observation. I'm very surprised that I didn't notice him before given how many times I've watched your performance in their performance of others, but what strikes me is your restraint, your professionalism, your ability to maintain a backbeat without trying to make it about you. It's five years later but this performance gets better with every viewing.
This is soo good. I always liked this song but I feel like I have a new appreciation for it. I freaking love these guys, saw them for the first time in Vancouver and I will try my best to always see them when they come!!

I agree!
I absolutely love how you smugly fix your jacket after you stand up from playing that song.
It was riding up on me so I did it to become comfortable, now I realize it came across different haha
It was exactly the right move Brandon :) Well played.
I was there, and like other people are saying, this was a highlight! One of our own, up there with the best, killing it, rolling with the changes of arrangement to include the audience! So glad you got these shots of it too, congratulations!
Thank you so much! I'm glad I didn't disappoint. :)
as a drummer i can say you've done this very well! you're the luckiest man in the world
Thank you :)
as a drummer... look at this guy ruclips.net/video/859rnmRK2G4/видео.html he just gave it his own style
I've been watching youtube videos for about 10 years, and for the first time ever, I literally clapped watching one... at the end of you playing with The Killers and you stood up and adjusted your suit like a badass! Absolutely timeless!

I thought exactly the same. At the end you just stand up like saying "look and learn kids". Amazing performance Brandon
As a drummer and Killers fan, this was so sweet! Loved that you added your own little twist to it, too awesome!
Was there last night and this was the highlight of the show. Great work 🤟🏻
Thank you so much!

Dude, you broke a stick and still rolled with it. Insane!
Gotta keep going!

This is so sick! I really happy for you!!😊
At first I was skeptical. Then I saw you actually did play. Then you didn't just play but KILLED the entire song, and not just "oh it was good". Damn!!! So awesome! How did Brandon ask you up? Did you have a sign or did you preschedule this?
The real question is, Did your phone survive the fall?
It's currently in the ER!
¡Muy bien, pibe, te felicito! Salvo por el detalle de que parecías estar más pendiente de tomarte una selfie que de saludarlos; Brandon te tuvo que abrazar ._. Pero fuera de eso, me alegro por el momento que pasaste.
Tightest set out of all of the guests shown
Thanks so much! :) I appreciate that!
Pretty cool. I saw them in Dublin and they brought on a fan to play Dustland Fairytale on keyboard. That was awesome and this was just as good
REALLY OMG
his name was Seán I think. He was good
Yeah, Sean
Looks like I started a chain reaction!
That was f*** amazing ur so damn luckyyy
Thanks for watching!
HOLY CRAP! Drum stick breaks at 5:15, plays with it for another ten seconds then picks up a new one ... I WANT THE BROKEN ONE!!!
Weird that people would think it unbelievable that you could play this song. It's not exactly a Rush song. Fantastic job though. 12/10 no rice needed.
upvote for the rice reference
Connor Davis he played the live version to a tee, Mr. Know-it-all
Thank you!

I feel like the pressure of actually being up there on stage would also get to you so that’s one thing.
Very good. They pulled another guy to play drums to this song last night in Philadelphia - you were better lol.
I agree!
Good job....lucky you x
AMAZING! YOU'RE A NATURAL ON STAGE
Thanks so much!!

All those years of practice paid off, I think.

Thank you so much Mrs. Dart. Our phone convo really made me feel like a true rockstar. You're the best!
This is cool that they had a fan do this. Something that would have been cool since they were in Canada is if they had Neil Peart of rush on drums or since I'm a fan of him Phil Collins of Genius would have been a hoot as well and an interesting crossover even more if they played each others songs.
17 February 2020 - Still, bar none, the best performance by a visiting drummer on this and during this tour. Well done, Brandon!
Thank you so much. That means alot to me!
I was keen to see you fuck up but you seem to played near perfect.. Did you guys rehearse or something? Pretty much nailed it!
I was at the show in Philly. They did this with a fan here too. Also it looks like LA and St. Louis too. Same song in each. Brandon alluded to the fact that it wasn’t planned ahead of time.
Nice , you did a good job, and lucky you omg hahaha :-D
A year later and I still can't stop watching. #LikeABoss
Espectacular !!!! ..... el pensamiento y la pausa inicial ... para entrar en ritmo !!!!

Dude!!! Hell ya killer job man so sick
I don't get it... Is he doing it with the same song in every show? How did he pick you? Great job btw!
I was the first one on the drums to play with them and another fan had played with him on synth during dustland fairytale not longer before this. I held up a sign asking to play with them and it kind of became a tradition.
Thanks man!
oh I get it now.

I appreciate that dude thanks so much!
