Nago's and Chipp's are two different moves. Nago's costs a resource that actively makes him a worse character and costs even more to capitalize on it at range. Chipp's can be done wherever and does not require any resource to use or capitalize on. Don't get me wrong, it obviously has the "hit the clone" flaw, but when you use the move where you should (up close, as a pressure or oki tool, NOT, as a projectile) it's not liable to be countered because of how overwhelming Chipp's offense is. You can even see him use it well later in the set.
@@_Deez i know this and all but jesus I wish this one thing like older games bc it makes my bones hurt like make the clone get killed sure but why does main chipp need to take the hit too like if hitting asuka's projectiles made him take damage having both a clone and the main body vulnerable to being hit at the same time and potentially losing a whole round off of a reversal just cannot be intentional
@crunchy8832 its to dissuade you from recklessly using it. Its a pressure tool, not a zoning tool or a get in for free tool. It has that penalty specific because it costs 0 resources and caj be chased after for 0 resources, comparing it to characters who have to spend resources to get the same thing is dishonest.
