Urbex: A-PEELING Abandoned Farmhouse

  • Опубликовано: 8 сен 2024
  • This video exploration from my explore in 2015 features a century-old farmhouse that has been abandoned since 2012. It is protected by a Heritage Designation. I noted while exploring that it appeared to be another renovation project gone bust. The land deed itself dates back to 1836 passing through many owners. It used to be a dairy farm in the mid-60s at which time the barn was remodelled and an addition to the farmhouse was constructed. At one point in time, it appears they had bricked in all of the large windows turning it into something less appealing, in my opinion. Thanks for watching! :)

    This is one of the last archived videos I’ll be uploading for now. I’ve recently explored an abandoned trailer park I came across in Florida. I’m looking forward to sharing that new video with you soon.

    • @moocowdad
      @moocowdad 5 лет назад +3

      lol..yes us canucks get razzed by that, its because our electricity for years and years all came from water power, notably Niagara(hydroelectricty)

    Amazing old farm house must have been beautiful back in the day glad it is protected by a Heritage Designation. I saw evidence of a restoration attempt maybe ran out of funds. Those are a lot of rooms with the step up and step down configuration. Interesting windows with the small sliders on the bottom. Great explore good to see you back again. Love your commentary as you walk around.

    The white part of the house was an add on done at a later date. That's why the entry to the upstairs bedroom on that side was through the bathroom. The small room at the top of the stairs and the adjoining room were very likely all one at one time. Amazing that the roof is holding up.

    Very interesting home with so many rooms with a step up or step down. Finally, that master was only available through the bathroom door. Whatever was one to do when the bathroom was in use? Thanks for the tour.

    That one looked like a big ol' cottonwood tree. That old Naughty pine door...shame on it! Some old houses used to have panels you could remove to fix a leaky faucet of whatever.
    I think the paintballers probably tore the whole thing up. I don't think copper thieves have been there yet. And I was just gonna say...there's the obligatory chair(8-). Thanks for the
    tour, Dear Pam(8-).

      Funny, when we closed on our house, there was an old corvette in the garage. The neighbor ran over and insisted whatever was left with the house was ours. She said the car belonged to the lover of the lady who sold us the house. She had been fooling around with that guy, in the house, while her hubby was dying in the other bedroom. We did not keep the car. The past is none of my business

      The climate in Ontario can be quite extreme with frigid winters to very hot humid summers. That can do a lot to a house in a short period of time if not heated/cooled. We see that a lot here.
