What makes a good design? Attention to detail is probably the most important. Yes, you can auto-digitize, but should you? In some cases, it really works, but other times it may not be good enough. How many mistakes can you see?
This was a great video. Thanks so much Sue. An eye opener for me as I am learning to digitize. I have purchased a lot of designs & have noticed a difference. Who knew you could learn so much in a short video. excellant putting this info across to us. thank you again.
Thank you for another useful video. I've seen the embroidery software companies brag about their autodigitizing capabilities, always with a carefully contrived demo file. Sometimes it might make life easier, but I have never found it to be worth my while.
Another great video. Thanks for pointing out the mess caused with auto digitising. I now manually digitise everything. I agree with the underlay issues. It can go round and round unnecessarily before Sewing the first top stitches. Thanks Sue
Great Great Information!!! I wish you would show the step by step in creating the Monogram, each tool etc. Beautiful Design. Thank you for all the wonderful Educational Videos!!
thanks so much!! Great examples and demonstrates exactly why auto digitizing is not the answer, ever....I especially like that you used a vector design, which should give the best results possible and it still did not compare to Don's rendition. You guys rock!
Thank you OML for helping to understand good professional embroidery against below standard embroidery. Do you thing we need a vector software (this is standard with the E4), to help with achieving clear images for digitising. There are times when I have a jpg or other picture, when I increase the size on screen the shapes and lines are no longer perfectly smooth (is that what they call pixelated). When I am trying to digitize that, the image is not so easy to determine and thus a struggle to manually digitize. What would help? I have Brother PE Design 10 software.

Proper manual digitizing is the only way to go. Thanks for showing the difference between auto digitizing and manual digitizing. Nice work Don and Sue

What do you think of the Bernina software for digitizing?
I don't have the bernina software so I don't really have an opinion on it...I think it is like Hatch though?
Another great video.
Don't Auto digitize not worth it :-) Thank you for another great video!!
you are right!!
Thank you!
I purchase designs, as I have a Chromebook which doesn’t seem to have any design software. Unless you know of anything..?
no, chromebook does not use a Windows platform, so you won't find any software for it.
