I also have the same pool. The pool cover that came with it did just as you said....it would just sink into the pool so it was useless. But now I need another cover and they don't even sell our size pool at Intex!!! What else can you do? Make one? And if so, what would be the best items to use? Need My Pool in Arizona!! 👍🌵🙂
What did you put underneath cover to lift the one side? Also, how did it do over the winter? Didn't think you could winterize a inflatable pool. Interested in how it worked. Thanks for sharing.
I used the ladder that came with the pool for the center support. The pool did fine over the winter. We had a historic snow, ice, and below zero event here in my part of the world. I ran the pump 24 hours a day for about a week until temperatures got above freezing. When I uncovered the pool this year everything was green but I had it cleaned up in a couple of days. The pool seems to be in good shape.
Hey Randy, I live in Houston and have the same pool as you have pictured here. All the information I have read says to detatch pool pump and lines but you mentioned that you did not. Did you have any issues by not removing them?
V S. No issues. I had the pump cycle for about one hour a day and when it got below freezing I left the pump running 24 hours a day. My fountain PVC pipe exploded because I did not drain it. Other than that it worked just fine.
@@TheRandykiser Thanks for the reply! Curious: do you have the standard filter or a sand filter? I upgraded to a sand filter and it made keeping it maintained so much easier during the summer.
Pool covers for the Prism frame pools have 20 or more holes stamped in them, which allows rain water to flood in, over fill and dilute the saltwater. I can't for the life of me understand why they've made them like that. I'll have to buy gaffer tape and cover them.

@@TheRandykiser thank you for the info!!
What a great idea. Very helpful advice 👍
What’s inside the pool that rises the cover? We need something like that
It’s the Intex pool ladder.
TheRandykiser thanks 😊
The ladder

geoffphuket Yeah. The solar cover for my pool is the same way. I pitched it and came up with my own idea.
off topic but whats the size of your pool?
Josh’s Reviews & Vlogs it is an 18’ x “48. Holds about 5500 gallons
where did you get that 3 way valve where your 2 suction lines come together??
richard hunsberger I’m pretty sure that came with the pool. The only extra I purchased was a new 1 1/4” hose.
TYVM I actually just found it on the intex site….. I very much appreciate your time and videos
