Do the Saints need to move on from the missed call?
Absolutely, or keep crying about it.
I dont see pass interference. The ball was placed where the receiver would have had to play through the defender, and thats what the receiver tryd to do, ran into a moving wall. If it was thrown correctly based of the angle of the receivers route and not on the back shoulder, seems like there might have been a chance to catch it on the side line but it wouldn have been a first down. So he throw it like that bc it would have forced the defender to over play the receiver to the outside, with the receiver jumping inside and getting space. It was thrown to low, with no touch and not lead far enough. So good no call, In my opinion.
No. Goodell is trying duck this whole thing and provides zero leadership. It isn't right. It's a football equivalent of having a cop shoot your friend in cold blood and the PD won't investigate the cop or even admit the shooting ever happened.
One thing Shannon's grandpa should've told him - if something happened that clearly wasn't right, it ain't your business pushing people into moving on.
@@wiseguy8799 Except even the NFL saw it was clear pass interference
@@wiseguy8799 Your an idiot
Nickell Robey-Coleman was waiting for the flag he fouled on purpose to stop a touchdown. I mean how can anyone not understand why the Saints are still upset?
They can be upset but let's not forget in the first quarter the saints drive down the field and end up with three points instead of seven then, the saints intercept Goff and have it again deep in rams territory and end up with only three points. So it ends up 13-0 where it should of been 21-0. So I mean the saints let eight points on the board. I mean this is one example of many where the saints didn't take care of their business to be able to not have it come down to that call. I mean it comes down to the philosophy players win or lose games not refs. Let me give you a true example. I played soccer at the University of Portland and I remember we were playing Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington my sophomore year and I remember the ref missed calling a penalty in the box which should of been a penalty kick and we lost 1-0. Now we missed 6 shots that day so we should of won 6-1. I remember at the end of the game our coach Bill Irwin looked at us and the first thing he said was you guys lost that game by missing those six shots, it wasn't that ref missing the call it was us leaving 6 points on the board. So the saints can be upset but they need to take responsibility for not getting it done.
@@mjs1557 great example and story!
“They got the ball first in OT”
if that call was made, there wouldn’t have been OT.
“They had delay of games that weren’t called”
So did the rams, bad officiating was on both sides
“They had a facemask”
Not as blatant, and again-bad officiating on both sides.
Stop making arguments against them. It was the worst no-call in sports history with what was at stake and they were robbed, plain and simple. Refs should be held accountable, and for the future they need to allow reviewing penalties like that
Skip "rams could do #counterfeit or #fraudulent
Shannon "cowboys could do #never
Skip "u can't do #never when u have five"
Shannon "never again"
Skip "u can do #notforawhile"

The outcry is warranted. A lot of gambling is happening in football now. You can’t have people thinking these games are being steered by the officials.
Too late
Let me ask all the people who feel the Saints were robbed if they go into overtime and win that game are we having this discussion that they were robbed and we need to change the rule? Remember they got the ball first in OT.
I think they would still be talking about it because the Rams won and their still talking about the non facemask call
Cry baby morons. Saints blew it. defense choked. they lat rams score with under 50 seconds left. had the ball in overtime. then choked on defense again. goff out dueled brees. plenty of bad calls that went against the rams as well. they also blew a 13-0 lead at HOME. rams are the better team if it was in LA they prob woulve won by 17. ALSO PAYTON RAN THE BALL TWICE INSTEAD OF WASTING CLOCK LMAO. rams wouldve had no timeouts at the end
@@guccigucci5002 😂😂😂😂by 17😂😂😂...ok
@matthew5769 lol nah. saints play bad on the west coast. rams are a better team. maybe theyd only win by 10 then. but goff out dueled brees. payton was severely severelyyyyy out coached. the defense choked twice. choked very hard at end of regulation. but if payton ran the ball rams dont have those timeouts to get down there with 50 secs left
Also remember they had the lead with 46 seconds on the clock and they let the Rams March down the field
Saints fans should NEVER stop talking about it. They should also make it EXTREMELY uncomfortable for any of those officials to step foot again in New Orleans. Has anyone else noticed how spineless Goodell has said nothing? That's extremely odd.
Not odd, he is spineless.
It’s rigged
@@blahblah8037 cry me a river new orleans
Just accept the loss and get the rules fixed in the offseason. Let this no-call be the standard for how bad officiating has been this year. I just hope they find a way where all teams can benefit from proper officiating. Too many teams have lost opportunities to win games due to bad calls.
What is a Pass Interference 🤔 ?

You’re asking me?
Your Favorite NFL Referee It's when a ball is completely uncatchable but the defensive back just barely pushes off the back of the receiver

@@DK-hg7wj question: did the saints defense have an opportunity to stop the rams offense from tying the game and forcing overtime?
You cant say the refs are just humans thats the worst excuse ever that call was the easiest to call ever
Julian Perea they gotta protect their jobs
I like how bums say Brees threw a pick in OT and choked but don’t realized the refs missed a another PI call by Michael Thomas and a Facemask for Drew Brees as he was getting tacked🤔.
#SaintsGotRobbed
Young Saucy lol what are you talking about? It wasnt PI and it definitely wasn't a facemask. Get out of here lmaoooo. That just shows how little knowledge you have on football. If anything it was OPI, not defensive, Thomas ran into the DB, as the DB was making a play on the ball, and facemask? Not a chance, he literally didn't grab the mask.
Jozef Brudnicki Smh, pure ignorance out of a fan that thinks he knows something. How about you go back an watch it as it happened. Michael Thomas was being held indefinitely enough to make it PI, And Fowler grab Bree’s facemask at the end, so unless you have video evidence that that’s not what happened, don’t believe you can disprove my statement.
The Referees should have been questioned on tv like the players after the game no phone call or statement
It's a tragic situation but eventually they will move on. Our kicker did a double doink, even though it was tipped, but after a while I got over it. But that no call Pass Interference is something different. Were there a lot of missed calls in that game? Yes. But that PI was definitely the game changer of that whole game. And the fact that a couple refs were in on it, so I've heard, makes it even worse
Every call can be considered a game changer. The fact is your trying to make an incorrect conclusion to justify an end result. You can't make an argument on 1 missed call without making an argument on all missed call in which case we would be watching more reviews than actual football.
That play didn’t end the game. They still got the ball 1st in OT. Brees got smashed & threw a pick. Game over. Still had a chance to win that game.

Shouldnt have to win a game twice. Plus, the defender should have been called for roughing the passer.
Donald Nguyen that play didn’t take points off the board. Only the opportunity to. They still got the ball 1st in OT with another opportunity to close it out.
There would be no overtime if that call was made in regulation.
maurice horton the saints would hav put up seven instead of three
Man, love the chemistry between Skip & Shannon. This show makes my day!!!
The officials are human true and also true is that we do not see any consequence against the officials for their unacceptable error.
Say what y’all want I’ve been to New Orleans and believe me everyone is family down there especially the saints.. if it was Oakland buffalo Boston it’ll be much worst saints are filing lawsuits buffalo would’ve killed the refs
What, no comments about the ref that tells Brady during the game "Ive got your back"? Common, that's just fishy...
Wait...What? Don't tell me that's been going on Brady's whole career?
I bet the Falcons fans having a field day after having to deal with those 28-3 jokes
U damn right we are....even the falcons Twitter page is killing the saints
Gucci Sosa Falcons fans should be laughing at us, we are rivals. I’d lose respect for them if they wouldn’t be.
Falcons love it because now they won't have two fan bases in their home saying 28-3... but they petty cause no one wants to see Rams Pats... ticket prices down and they won't have a million Who Dat Nation dropping big tips in their bars and restaurants. We a service industry city, you think we tip like Rams fans??!
Saints could have avenged NFC South honor, loaded up all your bartenders, bellman, servers, and cabbies. There wouldn't be a free hotel room or STR within 50 miles. Much better to laugh that Roger Goodell played ref ball and the game we all love and cherish is a WWE sham, for the benefit of billionaires.
A stone cold stunner to Sean Payton would be the icing on the cake. Ha ha ha! Atl here!
lmao Viking fans must love this.
Falcons fans too love is a understatement

I can't speak for all Viking fans, but this one is LOVING it!
I am not a Saints fan don’t let it go you got robbed
Shut up Saints chocked, and Rockets wont win anything.
I don't think its right to say the refs are human. They didn't MISS the call... they chose to NOT call it because they were biased. They didnt miss the call or make a mistake, they just blatantly didn't call it because they were biased for the rams to win. Simple. These refs are completely ridiculous. They always do this and the league never punishes them. Whoever the ref(s) were that didn't throw the flag, should be terminated or fined and suspended. I'm tired of these refs getting away with calls like this on a stage like that and not getting punished for it.
I commented this before but it seems perfect here as well......
Now saints get to feel how the refs treat the bears, lion, browns and raiders.
No sympathy whatsoever. Next time find out how to score in the red zone instead of those field goals you had in the 1st quarter

The refs were against the saints just like against cowboys every games
Fact on the INT in OT there was a face mask that was not called
So 2 plays that they did not call won the rams the game
This is beyond ridiculous now. Saints still had a chance to win. Defense could have stopped Rams from sending the game into OT or Brees could have been clutch and marched his team down the field to win it in OT.
Maybe if the NFL wasn't so cheap and had FULL TIME REFS some of these problems might be eliminated.
Didn’t mike thomas have 36

The tuck rule is still the worst call in sports history

@@DK-hg7wj you don't know that..
D K Refs also missed a face mask on the drive before. Had that been called rams would have had first on goal on the one yard line. They probably get the TD and are up 24-20, Saints only scored 7 points in the second, third and fourth quarter. If you want to talk about missed calls changing games, the rams had a few as well.

You don't have to agree with how the SAINTS and fans feel but if you have something negative to say about it on behalf of the WHO DATS you can S.A.D!
So we gonna ignore the fact that the only reason they won the super bowl in 2019 was because of bountygate
Skip is RIGHT! (Did I just admit that😔)
I agree with Shannon but, he doesn't know the pain of having a chance to get a Superbowl trip to be blown away by a missed call, if the call was made, it would have been a 15 yard penalty or the ball would be placed at the spot of the foul
“They’re human” And that’s exactly why I don’t trust them!
Aliens should’ve been reffing
Refs forced long 4th down by calling dak sacked. They didn’t call this. It’s rigged for the rams.
This boils down to hey we all agree is was a PI but it's ok to let a game altering blown call go to let a team win team that might not deserve it. They wont do it because its to inconvenient to be honest, fair and redo the end of the game.
It's not about the Saints ,its about the refs. Next year, it will be another team victimized.
You know I think it's really interesting that Skip thinks the Rams' Super Bowl appearance was fraudulent because of a bad call. So how about the Patriots' (or Tom Brady as he likes to call them, suggesting he's the entire team) in 2001? He's been on the record saying the Tuck Rule play was a bad call. So were the New England Tom Brady's first Super fraudulent?
I understand the frustration but at the end of the day it's over, you're not in the super bowl, bounce back next yr

Yessss!!😂😂😂
I'm surprised they never covered the fact people were aiming laser pointers at Brady during the Pat's Chiefs game
Rams fans want the saints to let it go but they haven’t let go the patriots beating them in 2001.
Saints passed 3 straight times with less than 2 mins left when they could of just ran out the clock. Payton's aggressive mindset cost them the SB. Who knows if the receiver catches the ball or if the Rams come back to score a TD after that TD play to send it to OT. That one play didn't lose them the SB, it's just a reason for Saints fans to be upset. It was definitely a PI and helmet to helmet hit but it doesn't mean that the Saints win if a flag is thrown.
We want to give teams a sense of pride and accomplishment for reaching the suberbowl
This is exactly what the nfl wanted. LA in the super bowl,
This makes people wanna stop watching football and makes everybody think sports R fixed.
I used to watch First Take and I gotta say, this show is way better than First Take now. Better analysis, more entertaining, better points of view and better chemistry between Skip and Shannon.

You’re the home team and your fans were making it impossible for the other team to hear each other and you still BLEW IT. Yes it is definitely one of the most egregious and blatant calls I’ve ever seen but blatant miss calls happen in EVERY game and there were multiple missed calls before that on both teams.
I think that this call should open a dialogue about reviewing and the NFL headquarters having the power to overrule officials on blatant missed calls in the future, but for now it is what it is and you have to deal with it like everyone else.

Let it goooo, let it GOOOO!
Face facts New Orleans. The game was FIXED! superbowl ratings means a lot to the NFL, Tom Brady vs Drew Brees was not a big enough draw for the NFL but youth vs experience, Brady vs Geoff, Mcvay vs Belichick, THAT'S what they wanted and that's why the purposely didn't call that flagrant pass interference....BUT, on the other hand you did get the ball first in overtime?
For the record the saints draw in more viewership as is seen with the fact that the la Rams and la chargers views combined are less than the old San Diego charger viewer ratings. Brees was also having a phenomenal year and if they wanted ratings for the young qb no young qb is more popular than Pat Mahomes so your whole argument is flawed but nice try.
@@coken3909 they did get the ball first in overtime?.....so why are saints fans crying, you had a chance and blew it...that's not flawed

Saints fans its time to let it go and move on. Nothing you do will change the outcome. The team had an opportunity to go up big early on and they didn't captilzed. They also had a chance to win it in overtime and blew that. Move on and get ready for next season.
Throwing the ball when you should have been running the ball, kicking fgs, when you should be putting the ball in the endzone, throwing a pick when you trying to drive down the field and win the game in OT, to name just a few, but you want me to beleive that 1 play cost the saints the game...yeah right
We trying! Yet, They keep talking about it!!!
Idk why they're mad at the referee's. They played their roles lol.
Thank You yup
Shannon’s suit looks like an optical illusion
Of course Skip saw the '72 Olympics live...
The Saint's receiver had no chance to catch that ball anyway. It was thrown way inside for him. If the Rams DB had had his head turned towards Brees, he would have probably made an interception, which Brees has been good at throwing lately. The Rams DB probably hit Lewis because, in the half second he had to think about it, he thought Lewis would catch it, so he better knock him out of bounds. This is not the normal PI situation where a receiver has a DB's hands on him and impeding his ability to try for a catch. I think all these PI rules are silly anyway. In essence, a DB's 1st job at all times should be Pass Interference.
The worst missed call in sports? These guys are so NFL-NBA centric and blind to other sports. What about the missed called in OT of Game 6 1999 Stanley Cup Final that literally cost the Buffalo Sabres the Stanley Cup. Brett Hull had his skate in the crease which was against NHL rules during that time...Dallas Stars won the Cup over that literal missed call. The goal should have never counted.
I swear all these guys know in their myopic vision is LeBron, Brady, Cowboys, Michael Jordan. How can they say it's the worst missed call in sports....SMH.
The Rams Super Bowl appearance is fake like everyone in LA, so it makes sense 🤷♂️
Not fake. Brees lost the game in OT. Period.
um, the last time I checked, the fact the Rams are going to the Superbowl is as real as the nose your face.
Saints fans logic:
Marshon Lattimore tackles Julio Jones before he gets the ball with a missed PI and it’s a great play
Rams hit tommylee Lewis before he gets the ball and it’s instantly the worst no call in nfl history.
Ahh the irony!!!!
