    Excellent video very well done. I finished the book last month but didn't know that Moghedien was blow away by the blast. She was acting very cowardly for sure. Aginor nearly won being killed by a member on his own side Black Ajah.

    It’s also kind of important that Osan’gar basically died *as* Corlan Dashiva.
    Elza Penfell, a Black Sister only being this “loyal” due to Verin Mathwin’s quasi-Compulsion making Elza believe Rand must be protected to reach the Last Battle (So the Dark One can defeat him), never knew she killed one of the Forsaken.
    Cadsuane was upset she lost an Aes Sedai, an Asha’man, and had a second Aes Sedai emotionally compromised by the death of said Asha’man Warder, in exchange for “A few singed Forsaken, and one dead renegade.”
    Had Cadsuane known they bagged the maker of all Shadowspawn, she probably would have been a bit more satisfied with the trade off.
    I loved this battle, and you did a wonderful job of laying it out, but I think Jordan painted himself into a bit of a corner, by killing off so many Forsaken so early.
    It was a little hard for me to believe that NONE of the Forsaken who made critical misjudgements within easy striking distance of Light-combatants suffered any major injury, let alone death.
    This would have been a GREAT place to let the Light score a more decisive victory by letting one of the groups kill Grendaal, then have that be the capstone failure that caused the Dark One to revive her as the hideous witch, Hassalaam.
    I mean, it’s emphasized time and again the Forsaken (minus Moridin, who apparently has a storehouse of goodies that would have been impressive in an Age of Legends armory, yet aside from the dreamspikes let’s it all go unused), that the Forsaken are desperate to locate any angreals/sa’angreals, whereas every circle on the side of the light had at least one, and sometimes more.
    Alicia not even INJURING Lanfear/Cyndane was infuriating, after the big deal that was made of her centuries experience with battle-weaving as a Damane. Lanfear’s 1st hit just dissolved for no visible reason, yet her response was delayed enough for Cyndane to be ready to easily sever the flows.
    I wasn’t asking for an Alivia win here. Just maybe one of Cyndane’s cheeks being badly blistered by a barely turned/dissipated fire-weave, followed by an expert fighting withdrawal after she winged Alicia badly.

      @Wouldyoukindly4545 Год назад

      But they didn't use balefire on "Dashiva" so he can be reincarnated.

    • @dassadec
      @dassadec Год назад +2

      Cyndane being forced to flee is an injury to her pride, much worse

    • @veaceslavpaladi3155
      @veaceslavpaladi3155 Год назад +6

      The weakness of Alivia was, that despite all of her strength and battle knowledge, she didn’t know how to invert the flows so all of her attacks we’re easy to counter. On the other hand she had to defend blindly against the attacks from Cyndane. If not for the terangreal that dissipated saidar she would have been dead in the first seconds of the fight. The injury she suffered must have been from a blast that Cyndane made near her. The only reason the Forsaken survived is their deeper knowledge of the power, the trap that Cadsuane has organized was brilliant.

    Elsa sedai uses Balefire, not just a fireball. It wipes Osangar from the Pattern completely. Hence no resurrection for him.

    • @gairon9724
      @gairon9724 2 месяца назад +1

      No she didnt. She used Saidin wrought fire only. The reason why Osan'gar wasn't resurrected is the the dark one does not give third chances. Even for a second chance you have to stand in high regard by him and you will regret deeply getting it

    I don't think the forsaken knew about Rand's plan in advance. Every channeler in randland and perhaps the world could sense the vast amount of power being wielded. I thought Rand's plan took into account that certain members of the chosen, as well as other channelers able to travel would inevitably show up.

    • @Luinedhel
      @Luinedhel  2 года назад +14

      A little earlier, in Winter's Heart, there's a chapter in which the Forsaken gather to discuss what to do about Rand's plan of cleansing Saidin. They knew, and Demandred even states that he guessed that Rand would choose Shadar Logoth to do it.
