- You guys have wanted the specs for my 2021 Ram Rebel 1500 for a while now, so here they are! Things are just starting so keep your eyes ready for more content on this channel! I can't wait to show you what I have going on in the near future!

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 LWB Tradesman, with 2.5 Motofab level kit, stock rear suspension which still has a 1" rake, sitting on 35x12.50R17 mud tires with -12 offset custom wheels, no rub issues or modifications to make fit, I do have a custom front offroad bumper so front clearance no issue.

Better off buying adjustable shocks like a set of bilsteins. That's what I put on my ram. I was told those leveling blocks are garbage and make the truck ride terrible.
@@harrylounder874 I agree that some adjustable replacement shocks would most definitely be better all around. However for a simple and cheap option if one wanted, this is a great way to clear bigger tires. Also maybe it’s just me but I felt no difference in ride quality from stock height to the new leveled height. Rode exactly the same. Maybe it would just improve or be even better than OEM with an adjustable setup

I have a 21 rebel that’s stock in maximum steel. Just ordered a corsa cold air intake, ultimate 9 evc throttle controller, and I’m looking at the Fuel quake blackout rims on nitto tires. Gonna pull the trigger on those if I don’t see anything else I like.
I have the 2022 ram rebel GT. I plan on doing 35s with a -18 offset a 4 in lift and a borla attak exhaust. Great video!
The GT model is SWEET! It’s always hard when the newer models come with cooler stuff and you have the previous year but eh, that’s just life haha. I still love my ‘21 and don’t want to pay another $7k in sales tax anytime soon haha

@@DevonsGarage that's how I'm going to feel if for the 2023 models ram does a complete refresh and changes the rebel haha. I wanted the TRX but I couldn't justify a 1200$ payment with 40k down. Besides with the trx gas mileage it's like throwing 6$ out the window every mile you drive with these current gas prices lol
@@Invictus_Veteran you really hit the nail on the head with that one! When I bought my Rebel, I was commuting 50 miles each way for work and there was NO WAY I was going to do 9mpg at best in a TRX as well as spend the $100k just to do it lol. And that was when my local prices were in the $4 range, now I’m at $6 for 89, $6.33 for 91 as of tonight!
So yeah, I’m happy with the 5.7l for now as it has some good pep and the $30k discount allows me to do a ton of other upgrades if I ever feel the urge. Either that or buy a fun manual V8 car to sit beside it haha
@@DevonsGarage exactly!!!! Haha it’s getting ridiculous with these gas prices. I’m sure in the next few years dodge will have a hybrid TRX that gets better mpg. Until then I’ll just keep upgrading and enjoy the beautiful rebel

Do you think you could get away with same tire and wheel setup but with a 2inch level kit with no rubbing?
I believe it would rub depending on actual tire size (manufacturers vary within an inch) because I was border line close to rubbing especially if going up a driveway at a turn. You could probably do it but you will have to be really slow when turning and going off camber at the same time or you’ll catch a corner of the fender

I love love love my crew cab with a huge back door on my 21 bighorn. I have kids so that’s a massive help. And one of them is 12 so he needs some room. Looking to do a rebel next but I keep hearing issues with UConnect 5
Really? I guess I’m glad I have Uconnect 4 lol ‘22s have the 5, yeah I thought the same for the rear space, definitely a ton of room and anyone I take back there loves it including my 6 yr old nephew 😂
@@DevonsGarage yeah I have the UConnect 4 also. Love the big screen. I thought it was a bit excessive at first but the test drive sold me completely. My first ram but it just fit so well. I call it the couch. 😂

Where are the updates on the truck and suspension? BDS just came out with a 3inch lift with coilovers and springs! It’s a full kit and I’m waiting for some videos on it before I pull the trigger.

@@kevinjl2202 I could imagine that outcome, glad none of my friends or I ever had that problem. I always planned to do it as it looks weak anyway but I got a different truck recently. The Ram did great though on that setup for the 65k miles I had it
When you took off the mudflap does that lead to any openings so water can sit there at all? Cauz i have 22x12s and it rubs on that thing but i dont wanna take them off and risk it having water and junk sit in there
For me no it didn’t.. I also curved the fender liner backwards, drilled a hole in it, and zip tied it to the fender at the bottom. It created a block that nothing could really get into and looked good as well

I kinda want the spacer lift on my Rebel but I’m not sure….Is it worth the big investment buying a nice lift kit like the Carli suspension for almost 6k or just do a spacer? That’s my biggest decision I do tow with my Rebel and with the stock 33s it does great and I never really Offroad just some dirt roads…
To me it’s all about longevity, reliability, and best performance for the truck. I went the spacer route to see how this would all fit with 35’s and to find out just how many inches I would need to clear 35’s without lifting to the moon lol. Plus I hate a stock truck so I needed to get something in there fast haha. However I DO want to spend the real bucks and get a full kit. The Icon Stage 4 with UCA looks like a sweet kit and allows adjustment up to 3” of lift. I’m more than positive the Carli would be the same if not better in performance (probably better). And you will DEFINITELY get your money’s worth. With the spacer, it’s DO-ABLE, but you are really maxing out angles of things, especially the UCA’s (upper control arms). But for reassurance, all they use on 4” lift kits right now is a giant spacer instead of a full size coil over so it can’t be horrifically bad right?
I would say go with your gut, budget, and how much you are willing to invest into your ride! 😎🤘🏻 both are very solid options!
The 2.5 level is to much, it looks like it's squating now, readylift 2" level with control arms is a better option
I wouldn’t be able to clear my 35’s with the -18mm offset with just a 2”, I was very tight with the 2.5”
@DevonsGarage in that case I would of gone with 33's because it's definitely squatting and that's without any weight in bed or on tongue
@@daveivins5968 yes, it was about an inch higher in the front which I wasn’t too excited about. The 2.5” was more to see what I would need to clear the 35’s. I then planned to go 3.5” full kit all around (either icon etc, something without a front spacer) but I talk in past tense because I ended up picking up a 2500 recently and traded in the Rebel. Had too many issues for a 2021 truck and needed the extra towing power
lmmfao i wanna put 35s but i also dont wanna go from 13.5 mpg to 10 so how much did it affect mpg xD
What’s odd about that, is I actually get 13.5 with my current setup. I only had my stock wheels on the truck for about 500 miles so I am not too sure what I got before the swap but it wasn’t much better. 12.8 is the lowest I really get hand calculated at the pump if I’m 70% city 30% highway

@@qiqi7226 Hmm that would be hard to say, because yes you will 100% clear the outer of the fender but now you could run into the upper control arm with that width tucked in that far. I’m not too familiar with that low of an offset on that truck, you could look for some setups on CustomOffsets gallery and filter out that et to see if anyone is running it without any issues. I want to say it can, but with those 10” on the wheel and a 35” tire that will most likely be around 11-12.5 inches at the top, I really feel it will hit the edge of the upper control arm

Are those wheels bronze
What’s quite odd about these wheels is they almost look bronze, yet they aren’t. They are specifically called a “deep dark tint” which if you really look at it, they are literally a dark dark coloring on top of a machined face. But it can occasionally look bronze. Very cool finish in my opinion and something a little different than everyone else has 👍🏻
