this is the best shed shearing idea i have seen yet. easy on the sheep and especially easier on the shearer. A smooth and efficient system. the closest you can get to a traditional style shed with a modern ideas and applications. A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the designer and especially the manufacturer, must all be shearers themselves, beats every thing else around hands down, TALLY HO
Great idea, an extension of the crutching cradle concept. If you're building a new shed though, why not go the whole hog and incorporate a raised board? This would make it easy on everyone, not just shearers and increase labour productivity even more.
Or perhaps they shouldn't just be letting them hit the ground like a sack of potatoes... Most of the time they seem to do an okay job cushioning their landing, but damn... Good thing these ewes aren't being shorn right before lambing!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as well. Still neat as hell if it was setup right.
I´d say its a bit harsh on the sheeps. should be lower drop, or some kind of cushion on the floor.
i agree. when i set up to shear, I dont like to drop em, wouldnt want my sheep falling that hard, lamby or not.
