I usually don’t leave comments on videos, but this recipe right here is THE BOMB! I’ve made it more times than I can remember and it has been a hit every single time❤️ Super easy and delectable!
I'm form Treviso, the city where tiramisù was invented... In italy we never use heavy cream, i don't even know what it is, you can't find it anywhere here. To make the cream i personally don't heat anything, i whip the yolks with sugar (1 1/2 tablspoons of sugar per yolk) until it's almost white and super creamy. When i add the mascarpone cheese i mix it for just few seconds to blend it (mixing for a long time is worst). Then i make sure the electric mixer is completely clean and use it to whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they are very solid. So i add the whipped whites to the cream and gently mix them with a spoon (no electric mixer is important). Idk how it is done by professionals but in my family we have always done it whis way and i think its sooo delicious yet simple
I have never made Tiramasu. I understand why low heat is used to mix the egg yolks and sugar. That is to pasteurize the egg. A way of cooking the egg without cooking it. I always end up throwing out egg whites when they are not in a recipe. So, I like to try it your way and try it in the way of the video as well.
I prepared everything and half way through I remembered I have neither an electric whisk nor a normal whisk. So as determined as I was, (it was already midnight) I googled how to make cream from scratch and I made it by using two forks with only hand mixing.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is literally the best tiramisu I have ever had, and the first time making it. Still ... Bought an electric whisk straight away today 🙈😂
I tried the recipe and it was AMAAAAAAZING! I didn’t have heavy cream and I just used egg whites. I’ve been eating tiramisu as a dinner for the last 4 days 😂
Turned out PERFECT! I used 500g mascarpone cheese + 100g sugar + ard 250g whipped cream (as i dont like strong whipped cream taste). Great recipe, thankyou!
Gave it a shot and tried out this recipe and I have to say it's one of the fluffiest, creamiest, and most delicious tiramisu I have tried. Five stars. Also did it without the alcohol and added a bit more vanilla to replace.
I made this recipe and it turned out so good! My family was very impressed. I realized while making it that I had to tweak the recipe so my daughter could eat it so I made a small batch for her replacing the expresso using a packet of hot chocolate mix and hot water. Thank you!
5 large egg yolks ½ cup + 2 Tbsp (125g) Sugar 1 2/3 cups (400ml) Heavy cream, cold 14 oz (425g) Mascarpone cheese, room temperature 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract 1½ cups brewed espresso 36-40 Savoiardi biscuits (Ladyfingers) 2-3 tablespoons coffee liqueur/marsala/brandy Cocoa for dusting Yes I did copy paste this off their website

I watched a lot of recipes and this one is the best. I will make this for the holidays. I will use a little coffee liquor and dark rum in my espresso mixture. Thanks for this video. 👍🏽🤗
The first time I made tiramisu, I was super excited to try it and cut out a slice after chilling for only an hour, only to be dissapointed that the flavor was kinda eggy and sour and bitter. The next day, after letting it chill overnight in the fridge, I tried it again and it tasted AMAZING. The flavors had melded together into creamy deliciousness. So, word of advice, so not skimp on chilling. Let it chill overnight, it will taste much better.
This does indeed make sense while I was making some other cake with vanilla pudding when I didn't have it in refrigerator enough it tasted like pure pudding and nothing else but after a while the tastes molded together and it was way better so it's always the best to keep everything at right amount of time in refrigerator
Made this for the first time and my boyfriend/mum and boyfriend's landlady all absolutely loved it!!! Thanks sooo much for sharing, I'm so happy I can finally make my fav dessert myself now! 🥰
made this tiramisu twice, always whisked egg whites instead of heavy cream and every time the cream was super fluffy and delicious, i think the heavy cream would be too overwhelming. overall the directions are very straightforward and easy to follow, so thumbs up!
Ok so I used this recipe last night. Holy Christ (excuse my language) it was AMAZING!!!! The only thing I can recommend is to make sure you brew STRONG espresso. My final product lacked in the espresso flavor (had some, but just not enough), but the rest of the flavors definitely made up for it.

Heavy cream is panna. In some parts of the world it is not safe to eat raw eggs, that's why the bain Marie is used.

Tiramisu sounds a lot more Japanese than Italian
There is no "Ti" in Japanese, so not really.
(Edit: I hope I did not sound rude.)

Tirami su in Italian is like pick me up
I actually thought it was japanese.
Also its a combination of two words "Tirami" and "su" which means pull me up but never thought it sounded Japanese since it sounds normal in Italy
