Thank you. I love this song and the powerful lyrics. Like so many of his songs, these lyrics can still be applied today. It's sad that we haven't learnt anything in the 50+ years that John has been performing. He is a true living legend. There will never be another who can match his voice, vocal range, performance, charisma, interaction with his audience, love of his fans and all of humanity, sense of humouor, and still being such a humble, down to earth man with no big ego. Australia has been blessed to have him entertain us for so long. He is the very best of the best. ❤❤❤❤

Many of us can sing along to just about every song John and his band sing as we’ve been listening and watching for quite a few decades - yes we know all the band by name as well as John introduces all of them every show I’ve been to, and watched 😊

That's why I chose this version because it shows their names and highlights how John puts them first. One of the many reasons we love him. ❤

Yes a perfect version to choose. John introduces them as we know. But this vid, at very beginning with faces and names really shows those who aren’t as familiar with the all the band, exactly who’s who. I only guessing but was it John’s idea? Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it was 😊

@bernadettelanders7306 I would imagine so - the producers and designers would know how he likes to do things and John would have had the final say. At the beginning of his performances for one of his concert tours he sends all the band out first one by one leading the way and the John comes out last. He is a wonderful human and loved by so many. 💖

Is there another like him that you can think of? Anyone who can sing from nursery rhymes to opera and everything in between. All the things he’s done, donated, included everyone, had us crying with emotion from his songs or in fits of laughter from his jokes.Kept him home life with Jill private, she never hung of his arm like a trophy wife. Have 2 dedicated sons? I think he got the best out of life - and we got the best out of John .

@bernadettelanders7306 No, never has been another like him, and I don't think there ever will be. I'm planning my next group of requests to educate Paul and Fellipe and their subscribers about 'Sadie' and John's incredible banter and humour with his audience at his concerts. Hope you enjoy them. 😉 I honestly never tire of hearing any one of his songs. I was 7 when Sadie came out and I wished he was a big brother then even though I already had 5 LOL!! I'm the youngest of 8. I still feel like part of the John Farnham family, and I love that feeling 😍😍 Cheers Bernadette.

    Nice reaction Fellas, thank you.
All John's (and the Band) songs stay in your head. No Hate !

Thanks guys. The reason I mentioned Germany in the comment was that this song was played by many 😅 of them 😅as a sort of anthem with You're the Voice when the wall came down. Yes it would be the live Chain Reaction Concert DVD that I used to have ❤ Definitely the first song of the concert. It is just magical ✨️ 😍

Great song about the optimism felt across the world when the Berlin Wall came down and the cold war thawing there was a great optimism the world / could be better ❤❤❤

A lot of his songs are anthemic, while others are beautiful ballads. Farnham can handle many genres.

Hi George. They have done I Can Do Anything, but it might still be waiting to be unblocked. There's quite a few waiting to be unblocked for some reason. I'm planning a 'Sadie' introduction for Paul and Fellipe - I'll be putting it together over the next couple of days. If you're a member, you can see it even if it is blocked. Cheers, Deb.
