Thanks for the comment! Try working the sides. The mangrove jacks hunt along the drop offs. I’ve included a link to D’Best Recreation’s website in the description. Pricing details will be there 👍
Thanks for the comment! Barra tend to jump and throw hooks hence by pointing the rod tip down when reeling it in on a tight line, you are “forcing” or directing the fish’s head down. It won’t work 100% of the time but it definitely helps reduce the tendency of the fish jumping multiple times during the fight, which if it happens, increases the chances of the fish throwing the hooks. Hope this helps ✌️
Thanks for the comment! From 3:30-4:00 in the video, you can see what I’ve packed and the set up details. I’m using a Shimano Aldebaran MGL 31 HG filled with 10lb Sufix 131 line. Hope this helps! Tight lines!
Thanks for the comment. For “saudi”, it’s because the spot takes the brunt of the sun across the day and gets very hot like a desert, hence the name. For “kampong”, it’s likely linked to past where there were a few huts there that resemble a village/kampong ✌️

how does pointing the rod tip down prevent the Barra From jumping ?

Why do they call it "saudi" and "kampong "?
