Adjustable-Output Bosch HID Ballast Demo

- I finished putting my adjustable-output OEM Bosch HID ballasts together. I bought them already setup for having adjustable output, but I had to redo it for my liking. The old OEM Denso ballasts outputted at 35 watts, but these will output at 38, 53, or 68 watts according to the switch I installed inside. Paired with Osram CBI bulbs, LS430 bixenon projectors, HIR high beams, and 3000k HID projector fog lights, there's nothing I can't light up now! Muhahaha.
Since pictures are useless to capture different brightnesses, I figured a video was the only way to show how these work. Enjoy!

I want to see adjustable output "100w HID ballast"s on Ebay/Amazon. You know, the ones from China that are black painted, they really output about 75-80 watts I think.
Where could I get adjustable output Denso ballasts?
Those ballasts are junk ,they're around 60-65% efficant ( 60-65 watt output ) the acme arsenal 75 watt units blow them away
Were did you get these ? Or did you build them yourself ?
Hey there. I bought these from another person who built them himself. But they didn't work very reliably, the OEM system is not a good one in my opinion. I ditched them and went back to regular Densos. Since this video is like 5 years old, a lot has happened since then. I would highly recommend instead purchasing an aftermarket ballast with dual-brightness built right into it, such as the Morimoto/Profile Powerhouse.
@@gold94chica thanks for the reply , I just like the idea of the switchable super high output 68+watts , I use the hylux 45 watt ballasts (which have been great ) would be awesome to have a switchable 45/50 watt to 70/75 watt ballast
@@stevenhenry9020 Oh yeah the Hylux are great. Trust me I loved having the switchable ballasts, but honestly it was was overkill and not really worth the maintenance reliability problems. By now, I've installed much better projectors that are twice as bright and have a real high beam (G5-R, love em) and I've got Baja Squadron XL80 LED spot lights in the front grille on a switch. So I've got plenty of light lol.
@@gold94chica myself I have a quad set up /custom headlights, G5-R and G5-EXL with custom modded Morimoto Mh1 7.0's as driving lights ( that's 3 sets of 45 watt hylux ballasts with 3 sets of bi-zenon projectors 😂 ) along with dual black oak 200 watt led bars, a total of just over 750 watts of output lol
@@stevenhenry9020 dude haha, well what on earth do you need more HID ballast power for then? LOL
