marissa maharaj : Thank you Marissa. I have other cymbidium that hasn’t bloom yet, maybe others will bloom later but then I only have them for a year.😊 I’m lucky with this, not only it bloomed, it gave me 4 bloom spikes ( almost 7, the 3 didn’t make it to bud)😊💕 According to Seattle orchid, Peter fire torch is a warm grower and will bloom spring/summer.👍😁
Now isn't she a beauty!!!!! Having 4 spikes makes it a real show. Love the colors as it looks like it is antique. I am looking for a cool grower ones as I live in an area where it has real cold days and nights (snow). But I can leave them outside from early fall to mid fall then bring them in before the frost comes. Are cymbidiums heavy feeders? Great video.
Hi Sunshine Lady, I am new at collecting orchids and would love to have a small division of your emerald fire cymbidium - if you ever divide🙏🏼. Your collection is simply superb👏🏼Thank you in advance.
Kathleen, there’s currently a bid for this till Monday 9pm if you’re interested. It’s also in spike and in bud! Here’s the link on eBay www.ebay.com/itm/Cymbidium-Geno-s-Gem-Emerald-Fire-IN-SPIKE-BUD/293934219200?hash=item446fd83fc0:g:Z7AAAOSwMXxfZojg
Hi I have a quick question regarding the Emerald Green. You mention Krull-Smith and another nursery. Can you please write the name for me. I went on Krull-Smith web, they don't have cymbidium listed. That is my third time watching this particular video.... love this cymbidium. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful rchids, always looking forward to the next one. Stay safe and thank you for your service
Sandra O : Hi Sandra! I’m working this weekend so I’m not able to respond soon enough. Actually, you’re not the only one looking for this orchid, Quang Nguyen too. He/She called Krull Smith nursery and was told it sold out. I’ve seen foreign vendors selling this last Tamiami international show. I’ve seen Maria at Oldsmar flea market selling a few of this but not sure if she still has it. Nguyen said he/she found a nursery that sells for $60 plus shipping in California but he/she didn’t mention which nursery. If you’re interested I’ll ask Nguyen.
@@sunshineladysorchidsgarden8989 whenever you can, you can ask her. Thank you I really appreciate. Will also look around and keep you posted if I find it. Thank you so much and stay safe
MaryG Orchids : Thank you Mary. So far, no fragrance that I can smell. I don’t think I have Chinese cymbidiums. I only have the ones that will grow in my climate.😊💕
Hi Rosana! You’re very welcome. Yes, place your cymbidium in indirect high light, like your vanda light to get them to bloom. Leave them outside even temperature gets as low as 40F. It also needs the cool temperatures to encourage blooms. 4 of my cymbidiums are putting on bloom spikes at this time. Good luck!💕
Hi Irene! As far as I can remember I remove some of it but not all. I can’t leave all the sphagnum in a closed pot or it will rot when we have rain everyday outdoors. The moss, if still good, I cut it in small pieces and mix it in small bark, charcoal and limestone or rocks for drainage. It will also help the plant transition to its new media and new pot. Hope this is helpful.
Joventina Kilpatrick : Yes, I have a few catasetum. It is best that you buy them in orchid shows where it has already blooms. I also got mine from Hausermann nursery but they are not in bud. Krull Smith, Smiley, Palmers orchid and Pelican coast have them. Are you located in Florida, out of state or from another country? Most of the orchid nursery I mentioned are in Florida except Hausermann.
