Today's full journey Brings you to East London Bus 58.
Can't believe that these have finally entered London officially & first Stageoach volvo bzl appearance on Lea Interchange's first bus route 58 which look stunning & stylish & the design of this bus is incredible never seen a design like this before the perfect bus shape not massive compared to ev's but honestly saying tfls best bus to enter London so far.
Massive change & upgrade from 10reg volvo gemini 2 ➡️ Volvo Bzl DD version which are amazing to ride on very smooth.Love the seat design & the way they are positioned also because these are volvo they have unique indicators sound which can be heard from the top.These are not the fastest but they have the balance & can be very reliable as they don't brake down like old buses do.
58 definitely needed the change but will miss the old school buses as they are full of memories but finally something positive to look forward to.Its a shame this bus was stuck twice at East ham & Upton Park because of roadwork traffic but otherwise the routing is fairly nice through Forest Gate, Wanstead Flats & Walthamstow highly recommend this awesome bus & rate the bus 10/10.
*Saturday 22 nd June 2024 was the first Stagecoach Volvo bzl appearance on route 58.

Possibly because old buses are now not ULEZ compliant also the mayor wants buses to be electric.

The Mayor wants 100% of TFL buses to be electric by 2034 I believe. And the 58 needed new buses given some of the buses on the route were registered in 2011, meaning they were 13 years old and have definitely clocked well over 100,000 on the mileage. These electric buses are also more environmentally friendly.
