    This is probably the best comparison on RUclips.

    Thank you for making a video with the actual bags on your person for comparison. So many videos talk about these bags and don't show them being worn! MVP 🙏🙏🙏

    I wish I had found this video sooner. I bought a gr126 and tried the 34l twice in different versions. All I heard about was how big the 40l was. I’m not a small guy so I am now gonna try the 40 after seeing this video.

    apply golden ratio 1.618 to height & width ratio of 4 Goruck
    GR2 40L: 22/12.5 =1.76
    GR2 34L: 20.5/12.5 =1.64
    GR1 26L: 20/12 = 1.667
    GR1 21L: 18/11.5 = 1.565
    Might it explain why I find GR2 34L more eye plaesing than 40L when you look form the wear back. Same apply to GR1 26L vs 21L.

    A pair of boxing gloves. A jacket for wet weather. Change of clothes, electronics will fill out a 34l in no time. I hate larger bags, but not having enough space is even worse.

    Hi , your videos are really very informative and to the point explanation. Not like those chase Reeves videos . He is good but who has so much of time to go through the entire video ? 🙂. Great review 👍 can we use this backpack for hiking ? And can we attach goruck detachable hip belt to this pack ?

    • @foXnoMad
      @foXnoMad  3 года назад

      Thanks! I'm happy to hear you found my video useful. For hiking, this is a great backpack Just keep in mind it's heavier than average so you get a lot of durability with some extra carrying weight.

    Thanks for the great comparison video. Can you measure the true depth of the main compartment of GR2 34L and GR2 40L ?
    According to the specifications from the official website, the dimensions of GR2 40L are 12.5 "W x 22” H x 9 ”D and GR2 34L are 12.5" W x 20.5 "H x 9" D, but I could not find the true depth of the main compartment of this bags .

    Awesome video. what you recommend if I wanna buy gr2 better 34L or 40L I'm 5'9 tall?

    • @foXnoMad
      @foXnoMad  3 года назад +1

      That's close to the cut off for the two bags GORUCK recommends. Depending on your needs, use case, and particular shape it can vary. It's really worth trying both out and returning the one that doesn't fit as well.

    Hi
    As hand carried on plane would it fit the overhead compartment and or underneath seat packed full? Is it legal by size dimensions and weight?
    Thanks

    • @foXnoMad
      @foXnoMad  Год назад

      Overhead on a larger plane they would fit. Under a seat, packed full, probably not. As for the dimensions, those vary by airline so best to check with them. Hope this was helpful!

    So, for someone far above average height (I'm 6'10"/209cm) would you recommend the 40L?

    • @foXnoMad
      @foXnoMad  2 года назад

      Yes, unless you're flying frequently, then airline restrictions might make the 34L less likely to go over weight limits.

    • @andersonfuller
      @andersonfuller 2 года назад

      @@foXnoMad That is another concern of mine. I kind of like the idea of restricting myself to 34L but most importantly I want to always be able to carry it on the flight. However, I feel I have brought far larger bags before on airplanes with no issues. These are only Canadian flights though... not Asian flights.

    • @foXnoMad
      @foXnoMad  2 года назад

      The bag itself is heavy so if they weigh it you've got less total for the things you pack. In North America it's most likely not going to be a problem (and the bag will probably look smaller on you) so staff might be less inclined to weigh it.

    • @andersonfuller
      @andersonfuller 2 года назад +1

      @@foXnoMad I went with the 34L and I am able to fit about 8 days' worth of clothes in it and am happy. The 40L would have looked fine on my back, maybe a bit too big, as the 34L surprised me in size.
      You aren't kidding about the bag weight! This thing is like 4 lbs.

      I have the 34L GR2 and I love it, but there are times I wish I had gotten the 40L. I'm 5'9" and 91kgs and travel extensively.
      Great video. Wish I had seen it 7 years ago.
