I backpacked Australia from June 2018 to March 2020 right before COVID hit and I had the GR3, 34L GR2, and 21L GR1. The GR3 is an excellent ruck for when you're in transit from planes, trains, and automobiles and it basically functions as one giant suitcase for packing cubes, field pockets, shoes, etc. Once you're sorted and staying somewhere for a bit, it sits in your closet until you're in transit again. I bought the preorder GR3 in August 2017 and it's still in excellent shape. Recommend for sure!
Do you still like and use your GR3 45L? I'm thinking the GR2 34L vs GR3 45L but I'm afraid the GR2 34L might be to0 small for month long trips and the GR3 might be too large for budget Asian airlines.
Eric has that red GR1 "4th of July" special from years ago and I have an older Rucker. Both are still holding up and can be seen in some of our videos! Thanks for the info!
