  • In this video, we show you how to polish #stainless_steel to a gloss finish, which tools and discs you need, and what speed setting to use.
To ensure you get optimum results, do remember that the workpiece should already have no deep scratches or inclusions. So in some cases, the surface may still need processing again with grinding tools at a grit of 60 or finer.
The first step is to use a non-woven unitised disc. This disc achieves an outstanding surface treatment quality all on its own. The #RHODIUS unitised disc from the video can be profiled and will then adjust itself perfectly to the workpiece contours.
In the second and third steps, a RHODIUS felt flap disc and specially matched grinding pastes are then used to achieve a perfect mirror finish. The flexible flaps can again adjust perfectly to the contours of the workpiece while also (thanks to their special structure) keeping the polishing process cool.
Please note: always ensure you use separate felt discs for each of the various pastes. The workpiece must also be cleaned thoroughly between each of the individual work steps.
An adjustable-speed #angle_polisher must be used to complete each of the 3 work steps. This is the only way to ensure top-quality work results.
