You are an excellent teacher. I like the way you slowly make a beginner understand what needs to be done to get over nervousness. 👍

I love how you explain thing! I like that you say it's okay to take your time and feel the water. You give me the confidence to try new things in the pool as a beginner!

Hi Rehtse, The back float is scary for a lot of people. There's just something about the sensation of falling back - even leaning back - that creates a lot of anxiety for many people. I remind everyone that it's possible to thoroughly enjoy the water without ever learning the back float. It's not a requirement. Most people like it because they can relax and breath at the same time, which is an admittedly handy way to enjoy the water. There's a longer video that goes slower and shows some new students learning to back float that I'll recommend: ruclips.net/video/ZvCFqUo2CWE/видео.html. I'll be curious if watching this slower version makes the process less scary. While you can learn back float on your own, it's often preferable to have someone with you along the way. Thanks for the kind words. Come see us if you're ever in the Fort Worth, TX area :-)

Hi Warson Ismael, nice to hear from you. A lot of people have legs that sink in the water. Many people think their legs should float high like they see in pictures but that's not true. The goal of floating is to settle calmly in the water w/o effort - or for a small % of people, with as little effort as possible. Where your feet are during the float is not important; where your face and head are is the important thing. For example, when I float on my back in shallow water with my hands at my side, my heels never leave the bottom of the pool and most of my face stays just above the water. Struggling to hold your legs up when they don't stay up on their own just makes the rest of you sink. Check out the first float video: ruclips.net/video/uGv8utOoCKA/видео.html starting at about 3:20 to see/hear more and then the back float video, ruclips.net/video/w3jSs7R7T1U/видео.html, starting about 6:20. I hope you find those helpful.
