Morphagene as a Unwieldy Drum Machine controlled with Sensory Percussion

This is just one wild way to use the Make Noise Morphagene as a "drum machine" played from Sensory Percussion. Sorry for the super out of focus camera on the module :/

(EDIT) Unfortunately, markers in Live aren't compatible with the Morphagene (if I recall correctly, I discovered this while making this video and then just put the splice points in manually). Consider using another program to make proper splice points as well as getting the right bit depth and sample rate...

Wow, this is giving me so much inspiration. I always have some ideas and when I start implementing them they always end up a lot more tame than I’d hoped for. It’s nice to see how somebody else takes a machine drumming concept to a completely different direction than where I’ve gotten to so far!

0:33 How did you manage to get the locators come up as splices in MG? I thought Ableton didn't export the regions. Also, bit depth is 24bit instead of 32bit, so MG would not have read this file correctly, unless you took this file to another program, added regions and saved as a 32bit. Or am I missing something? cheers

came here to ask the same questions! also sample rate is 44.1 and not 48 - for me, this makes the morphagene playback the sample at a slightly higher pitch

If I recall correctly I discovered this unfortunate reality about the splices while making this video and then just put them in manually on the morphagene. I'm sorry for the misleading video editing! I don't think I messed with the bit depth or sample rate.

Hey man, what is that snare you are using? I'm looking for a solution like this in 14" to mount it on a snare stand in rack tom position. Equipped with mesh head and sensory percussion trigger.
