    The S stands for slow speed. The H stands for high speed. Also it's a 3 speed impact driver on that tool. To get the most out of that impact wrench you need a 3.0 battery or higher. 👌 it makes all the difference in that tool. Any impact wrench should have the bigger batteries. Mine came with 3.0 amp hour batteries. 👌 I have the impact driver and impact wrench kit. Same charger but better batteries came with mine. Same tool bag also. 👌

    Hello. makita xwt14z and xwt15z What difference can you tell me?

  • @lordrichard8184
    @lordrichard8184 4 года назад +1

    When my Ryobi nicad batteries died. I thought about switching to makita since I needed new batteries anyway.
    I did not make the switch because of how little real estate makita gets in hole depot. They have a huge line. I think it’s bigger then Ryobi’s and definitely crazier. Makita has an ebike and 2 coffee makers (might be down to just one now). But you can only buy like 15 tools at Home Depot from the makita line.
    I went with the Ryobi cause I liked seeing all their tools out. And they had committed to the stem battery pack design. So I wouldn’t be starting from 0 again.
    Also I like how you number your videos. Keep up the great work!!

    I feel this is more specifically geared for peripheral automotive stuff, to rapidly take lug nuts off cars and trucks and other lighter things. It just has to loosen nuts with such and such torque after which there isn’t any load anymore so it rapidly spins it off. Totally different from driving lags into wood. And I’m not sure if it should be called mid-torque. Seems mid-torque these days beings around 500ftlbs and this is less than half of that. Doesn’t make it a bad tool at all, I just think it was built for a very specific purpose and testing it in ways outside of its intended use just may not get flattering results.

    High has the most power duhhh. You turn it down for delicate work or just dont throttle it as much. That 3 speed thing is not necessary as far as im concerned since there is a variable throttle. Dude amp hours has nothing to do power. It means run time.

    • @ManCaverTools
      @ManCaverTools  4 года назад

      More AH you have the more the power can be retained from the battery. Because more cells are being used to do a single task which lets the tool use more of the power that is already in the battery. if you drive in a 5" lag with a 1.3 ah battery the cells would be majorly stressed out and will have a tough time to do the job. If you have a 5ah battery the tool will use the power it already has easier with less stress on the cells. So it will do the 5" lag faster than the 1.3 ah battery.18v is 18v. Even though its only ding 1 Lag screw. so duration has nothing to do with 1 screw. More cells you have the better the tool will perform withe the power it already has.

    That makita ain't a mid torque it's only 210ft.lbs fastening just like the milwaukee m18 2754 has 210 ft.lbs fastening.that dewalt you showed is a mid torque it's got 330 ft.lbs fastening and around 650 ft.lbs nut busting.

    There is no precision mode. Only “high” illuminated works in reverse and stops spinning as soon as the fastener is loose and free spinning. Oh yeah, it’s not a midrange impact either

      I thought it was since dewalt had a mid range around the same size, but I am sorry if I am mistaken. im new to the electonic settings.

      I think this is more of a compact impact wrench. Milwaukee, Dewalt, Metabo, Bosch and Kobalt etc make similar size impact wrenches

    That Makita isn't mid-range. It's a compact class impact wrench. Makita doesn't have a mid-range yet, and it's kind of annoying that they're taking so long to make one.
    The Makita XWT11 is meant to compete against Dewalt 890/880 and Milwaukee 2755-20. Also, Mid-range wrenches weigh ~5-5.5 lbs with battery. The XWT11/2755-20/890 are in the range of ~3.5-3.8 lbs with a 5.0.

      Yeah but the makita 18v best impact wrench has 750 ft pounds of torque. That's one of the best ones they make right now. It's around $250-$270 in different stores, but comes with 2 5.0 batteries in the kit. 👌 been waiting for it to go a bit lower on price then I'll get it.

    Why on earth would you use a measly 2.0 Ah battery with only 5 cells in an impact wrench? No wonder it struggled with those bolts - you just choked the impact wrench with that battery. Next time use a 5.0 Ah battery then watch the difference. With 10 cells in the larger battery, the voltage drop wouldn’t be reduced as much.
